Scriptures:

Psalms 23  (A Psalm of David.)

1  The LORD (the Word) is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; THY rod and THY staff they comfort me.

5 THOU preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

James 1:18-21  Of HIS own will begat HE us with the Word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls.

1 Thessalonians 5:21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Proverbs 11:17  The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

Lamentations 3:22-25  It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in HIM.

25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for HIM, to the soul that seeketh HIM.
