Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Comments by Beth Martin:
This scripture stood out to me. While meditating on it, I remembered something that happened to me recently.
I was having trouble with a houseplant. This is a vine on a four foot tall frame that I have had for approximately 10 years. The leaves were turning yellow and falling off. I tried several options including repotting recommended by the gardening literature. During repotting I saw that the roots were bound together. I loosened them as much as possible without breaking them. I was watering the plant around the edge thinking that the roots would move toward the moisture. The leaves were still turning yellow and falling off after a week.
I started praying. Each time I passed by it, I prayed for wisdom ..... God please help me with this plant!
After a few days, I heard to water with "one cup to the center of the pot." I did this and repeated this action ..... my plant has been restored.
This is how "the Lord is my light"!

Thank you for sharing that. It’s good to hear how you were helped, and also shows the need for our continued asking.
I
was helped recently in a situation where I had a lot of concern or
fear. We were having carpet installed in our bedroom. The man who came
to measure about a week ago told me some things that could happen. My
husband had glued down a tack strip along one wall where one was
missing. Some of it was on top of self-leveling compound since the
floor there had been uneven. The man said if that tack strip came up
they would have to glue one down and come back another day, adding $200
more to the bill. Also he said if we tried to nail the strip down there
was a possibility that it could crack the leveling compound.
I kept
praying that the installation would go well, that there be no problem
with the tack strip. A lot of times the fear would come and I would
pray again.
When the man
came to install the carpet I was uneasy when he yanked at and even
kicked the strip my husband had glued, but thankfully it held. Then we
heard pounding and he told me later that he had to put in additional
tack strips because of the thickness of the carpet. He obviously had
nailed those down and apparently had no problem.
I have been so thankful to God that all went well with no problems from the tack strip or the leveling compound.
