2 Timothy 1
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Paul says:
11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know WHOM I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIM against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus (The Word).
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

God strongly used the apostle Paul's writings to teach me concerning doing ministry work and concerning having faith in God.
Matthew 26:27 And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
This morning a neighbor came to my house asking for help with a minor thing, and I walked with her across the street to take care of this. I haven't had an opportunity to talk with this neighbor in a few years. She works in the medical field, I think as a nurse assistant.
John 12:44-46 Jesus cried and said, he that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me. And he that seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.

28 For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
What does it mean to "Drink ye all of It"? Jesus is speaking about His blood or the Word. It is the Word of God for each of us spoken by the Holy Spirit ...... Who shows us the inner thoughts of God for us as individuals. We are not to miss one drop but to drink all of the Word spoken to us .... it may be correction, encouragement, comfort or things to come.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

When she asked me how I have been, I told her that I had completed cancer treatments a little more than a year ago and had just finished the third series of followup tests yesterday and no cancer has been found.
I went on to tell her how God worked in this, sparing me from having the bladder-removal surgery recommended by my doctors and leading me to another treatment, chemo with radiation. I also shared with her specific things I was given by God while working through all of this.
At one point she said "That's a miracle" and I thought maybe she understood that it was God who led me in what to do.
But when she got ready to leave she said "I'm so glad you followed your gut and asserted your right to make your own medical decisions."
I told her it wasn't my "gut" that I followed but God, going in the way God showed me.
And I told her I felt the medical people had made recommendations they thought were best, but that God knows what is truly best. Based on that, I could go in the way shown me by God rather than that recommended by the medical people. I also told her that the urologist who had initially referred me to the specialist/surgeon for bladder-removal surgery now says it was obviously good that I chose to not have that surgery which would be life-changing.
Later I was thinking about how often people can't grasp that it is God who worked in a matter. They may think they understand and say some things that sound like they understand, but they don't understand. I was reminded of the following:
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We are so fortunate that God has chosen us and given us HIS Spirit that we might know things of God.
I Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Last night something very unusual happened with me. I was on the verge of falling asleep when suddenly I felt my heart fill with such joy and I realized it was in gratitude for all that God has done for me.
It was a supernatural joy, one so great and wonderful that I knew it came from God. And I found myself talking to God telling Him that if I died at that moment I could do it with joy and peace.
I can’t remember anything like this happening in the past but this is what happened last night. AND IT WAS WONDERFUI!

I used to babysit 2 little girls for a neighbor of ours who was a nurse. One day I was supposed to babysit and had a vet appointment beforehand. I thought there would be plenty of time for the vet visit before babysitting.
But it ended up taking very long, with long waiting periods, and I was getting nervous. I kept praying I would get home in time and not make this woman be late for work.
But delays kept happening and it got to be past the time she would drop her children off.
A short while after I got home she called me. She said they’d called her off work, so there was no problem. She still wanted me to babysit just so she could shop or something. Other times she would tell me that they had called her off work and I didn’t need to babysit, but it was always the night before. She had never before told me that same day.
It had seemed that my prayer was not being answered, but God had just worked it out in a very unexpected way. And it was such a relief to me.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God;
9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
