πŸ’₯ Podcast: Lessons in life from the Bible: Lesson #7 - Revelation 20

Revelation 20

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and HIM that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 11:23-31   For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which HE was betrayed took bread:

24 And when HE had given thanks, HE brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is MY body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of ME.

25 After the same manner also HE took the cup, when HE had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in MY blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of ME.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread
(the Word), and drink this cup
, ye do shew the Lord's death till HE come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord
(the Word), unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself
(by the Word), and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

The Lord's supper is the eating and drinking of the scriptures of the New Testament Bible, and judging ourselves by them.

John 15:16 ... Jesus says ... Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.

I Timothy 4:1-5  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Lessons in life from the Bible: Lesson #6 - Revelation 21

1 Corinthians 15:48-53  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18   But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Revelation 21   And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And HE said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be MY son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Matthew 24:35  ... Jesus says ... Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 24:29-31   Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

πŸ’₯ Report from Joseph Meriweather of an angel of the Lord speaking

Joseph Meriweather, member of the body of Christ

One night I asked the Lord, Abraham heard Your voice and obeyed.

I went to sleep and heard "I'm going to hold you here until I tell you what I have to tell you."  I woke up but I couldn't move out of my bed.   The voice was so loud I feared.

(The voice of God is very powerful, and angels have a trumpet-like voice.)

The voice said to me "I'm the God of your salvation.  Put now trust in ME."

Then the voice said "Now you can get up."   I got out of bed and cut the light on, looking around the room.

Now today I can still remember that voice of an angel.

πŸ’₯Effectual fervent prayer

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

James 5:16 …. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Fervent - exhibiting or marked by great intensity of feeling

A few days ago I believe I experienced an example of this scripture in my life.

Some months back I lost one of my AirPod cases with both ear pieces in the case. I use AirPods so much for listening to music, for Podcasts, for listening to recorded scriptures, etc. and it kept bothering me that I had lost this.

I had prayed numerous times over the months, asking God to please help me find it but I never did.

One morning recently I was thinking about it again and how I needed to find it soon, before the case lost its charge completely which would make it harder for me to locate.

So I turned to God again for help but this time there was an urgency in me about finding the case and I realized that while praying earlier times for God to help me, there wasn’t the fervor in those past prayers that there was in this prayer.

Right after I prayed I felt strongly led to go to my iPhone and look for a particular app which would help me find lost devices.

I did that and followed the instructions which were very simple and was quickly led to where my lost iPods were!

It made me so happy to see how God had helped me and I was reminded of the scripture above and I believe it was that fervent prayer which made the difference.

Scriptures:

Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed:

Luke 22:39-42  And HE (Jesus) came out, and went, as HE was wont, to the mount of Olives; and HIS disciples also followed HIM.

40 And when HE was at the place, HE said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

41 And HE was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, Father, if THOU be willing, remove this cup from ME: nevertheless not MY will, but THINE, be done.

Comments by Pam Padgett:  This morning, something done by a young man I once worked with which caused trouble many years ago, came into my mind.  I reviewed what had happened, thinking on it. A short time later I thought of things said recently by a very scornful woman.

I was allowing my mind to think on what these people had said and done, and I was getting pulled down.

Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of Philippians 4:8. These are the things to think on, and I was completely changed inwardly as I thought on this.

These things strengthen and help me and allow me to live in peace.

πŸ’₯ Correcting way from speaking guile

Pam Padgett, member of the body of Christ

On Tuesday's blog was shared Psalm 34:13  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

As I was putting that scripture on the blog Monday, the word "guile" stood out to me, so I stopped and looked up the definition and added that to the blog. One of the definitions especially stood out to me ... "the practice of deceiving people or using other dishonest methods to achieve your aims"

The head office woman from the dentist's office, Mary Beth, called Tuesday morning. Joan has an appointment next Monday to have a temporary crown removed and replaced with a permanent crown, and had sent a note letting the dentist know that she had technically died twice at ER last Tuesday and was now in hospice because of her heart problem.

When Mary Beth called, she said she was shocked to read Joan's email and asked me "What happened?" I told her ... but deliberately told her about only 2 times of Joan passing out (heart stopping) last Tuesday, when there had been 3 events, 1 at home and 2 at the ER. And I didn't tell her that the doctors wanted to put a pace maker in but Joan declined.

I was afraid that fully disclosing everything might cause the dentist to not want to do the scheduled work next Monday. Getting this crown finished has dragged out almost 2 months already, and I wanted it to be done.

But as soon as I got off the telephone, I was convicted of what I had done. Not telling the whole truth in order to achieve my "aim" is wrong in the sight of God, not something we should do, as we see in Psalm 34:13. So I called Mary Beth back and told her I needed to tell her two more things.

And I just prayed and asked God to work this out in the best way for Joan. This removed all fear.

I'm really glad for how God helped me correct my way, and thought it encouraging that the scriptures we share was used in this.

Scriptures:

Romans 5:1-8  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

πŸ’₯ Benefits of listening to classical music

5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

1 Timothy 6:6-12    But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 FOR we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 BUT thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

πŸ’₯Podcast: Delusions of the last days

Matthew 24 ... the disciples came to Jesus asking HIM: And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Scriptures:

Ephesians 1:15-23 ... Paul said ... Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of HIM:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of HIS mighty power,

20 Which HE wrought in Christ, when HE raised HIM from the dead, and set HIM at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under HIS feet, and gave HIM to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is HIS body, the fulness of HIM that filleth all in all.

πŸ’₯ Exhortation from Jesus on prayer.

Matthew 6:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be THY name. (The Word)

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Pray according to the will of God and the apostle John says our prayers will be answered:

πŸ’₯ Two or three years ago, God explained Hebrews 11:4 to me.

Comments by Joan Boney:

I had never understood Hebrews 11:4.  Several times I talked to God about this.  I kept asking God, "What made Abel's sacrifice more excellent?"

One day God said to me, "Faith."

Hebrews 11:4   By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

πŸ’₯ Exhortation from the Bible: Apostasy comes into the churches in the last days.

2 Thessalonians 2

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

In 1982, I was reading this passage of scripture and God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches ... The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures, falling away from the doctrines of the Holy Bible and setting up other doctrines."

NASB

2 Thessalonians 2

Man of Lawlessness

2 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only HE Who now restrains will do so until HE is taken out of the way.

(Jesus the Word, the Holy Scripture, was the restraint against antichrist.  When churches began removing scripture and setting up other doctrines for the church group, the restraint (the Word) was removed and antichrist moved in and the apostasy began in that church group.)

 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

Some of the doctrines that have been changed in churches:

* Matthew 5:32  Jesus said ...  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

The only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his wife is if she is sexually unfaithful.  If a man divorces his wife for any other reason and she remarries after divorce, she commits adultery.

And the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

This doctrine has been changed in a great many churches and now they are teaching that a woman can remarry after divorce ... and they do not teach that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Many of the older Christians say that the church is "watered down" today.  This change in doctrine from the Bible is antichrist in the church who moved into the church group after that church group removed the original scripture.

The "day of the Lord" comes after the church doctrines have changed ...

***

Here is another doctrine that has been changed in churches:

The apostle Paul said:

I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

This way the Holy Spirit spoke through whom God willed and the service was led by the Holy Spirit with various people who had a word from the Lord sharing.

Now a man prepares the sermon ahead of the meeting.

The Holy Spirit is kept out of the service.

And the congregations seem to love this judging by the huge numbers of people attending their services.

They and the congregation will be judged by Jesus when HE comes:

2 Thessalonians 2

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth,

 but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

 πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Exhortation: ( a warning) We must eat and drink the Holy Bible in a worthy manner else we bring damnatiion on ourselves.

Comments by Joan Boney

The Lord's supper has nothing to do with eating crackers and drinking grape juice.

The Lord's supper is the eating and drinking of the scriptures of the New Testament Bible.

Paul says we must "examine ourselves" ... else we eat "unwothily" for if we eat unworthily we bring damnation to ourselves.

I Corinthians 11

25 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which HE was betrayed took bread:

24 And when HE had given thanks, HE brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is MY body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of ME.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

(As we read the Bible we examine ourselves by what those scriptures say, making appropriate changes to our lives.)

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep
(die).

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues,
they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

11 The woman saith unto HIM, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
