πŸ’₯ If we judge ourselves, correct ourselves, we will not be judged.

Comments by Beth Martin:

January 10, 2025

This scripture was impressed to me.

John 13:3-8

3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into HIS hands, and that HE was come from God, and went to God; 4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside HIS garments; and took a towel, and girded HIMSELF.

5 After that HE poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith HE was girded.

6 Then cometh HE to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto HIM, Lord, dost THOU wash my feet?

7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

8 Peter saith unto him, THOU shalt never wash my feet.

Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with ME.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Since this scripture stood out to me, I knew that I had something that needed washed. I asked God for wisdom....I heard nothing immediately.....sometime  later Joan posted information about becoming offended by others......and how it later affects our ability to to correctly hear........immediately I was reminded of the above scripture. I knew that this was what needed cleansed. I asked for wisdom and was reminded of specific instances when I was offended by words of others around me.

I saw how this offense affected my perception of what this person said.

I began to hear antidote scriptures and I began to pray to cleanse myself.... and I continue to pray as God shows me that there are still remains of the offense that needs to be purged.

This has been a several day process. I am still actively washing myself with the WORD.

Comments by Joan Boney:

I often pray this over myself:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

God knows all truth and what I need and I find God often takes care of all the need immediately and recreates me perfectly in the issue.

πŸ’₯ Flesh strives against spirit.

The child of the promise was Isaac.  The child created by the flesh in the normal was was Ishmael.

They could not grow up together.

God's promise to Abraham:

Genesis 12

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

Sarah was barren.  She had no child.

But God had promised Abraham he would be the father of many nations.  How can this be when Abraham has no child?

***

There was to be a child of the flesh and a child of the promise.

Ishamel was the child of the flesh, born in natural ways to Abraham after he had sex with Sarah's handmaid, Hagar.

Genesis 16

1 Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

4 And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress (Sarai/Sarah) was despised in her eyes.

5 And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I have given my maid into thy bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: the LORD judge between me and thee.

6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she
(Hagar) fled from her face.

7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.

10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

So Hagar returned to Abram and Sarai.

Genesis 17

1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before ME, and be thou perfect.  2 And I will make MY covenant between ME and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

Genesis 18

1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he (Abraham) sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,  3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:  4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:  5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant.

And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. 7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.  8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he (Abraham) said, Behold, in the tent.

10 And he
(the angel speaking words of God) said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

(This son will be the child of the promise of God, for God has promised the child will be born to Abraham and Sarah.)

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And HE said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

***

Genesis 21

1 And the LORD visited Sarah as HE had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as HE had spoken.

2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac
(This is the child of the promise of God for God made it happen.)

4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

Thus we have 2 children:  The child of the natural flesh ... and the child of the promise of God, born of the promise.

I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And today we have church members born of the flesh, doing the things of the flesh of man in order to be in the church and called "Christians."

And we have church members born of the call of God and the will of God by the Holy Spirit of God living by faith in God.

And often they sit together at church but there is no real understanding between them.

The child of the flesh is born by the will of man and is always a little off.  He is like Ishmael.  Born by the will of man and the rules set up by man by his own flesh.

The other is like Isaac, born of the Holy Spirit and will of God, living by faith in God.

Can they function together, sitting at church together.

Not really. For one is spirit and the other flesh.

Paul describes it as follows:

Romans 9  (Paul says)

1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of HIM that calleth;)

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew MY power in thee, and that MY name might be declared throughout all the earth.

18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will HE hardeneth.

19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted HIS will?

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to shew HIS wrath, and to make HIS power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that HE might make known the riches of HIS glory on the vessels of mercy, which HE had afore prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom HE hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

25 As HE saith also in Osee, I will call them MY people, which were not MY people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not MY people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

28 For HE will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on HIM shall not be ashamed.

Exodus 30

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is Mine.

3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.

5 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which HE sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.

7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as HE sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD'S.

13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

16 And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

I Can Of Mine Own Self Do Nothing

Jesus said … I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.  Jn. 5:30

Jesus heard from God. Jesus, the Son of God, the creator of all things, said HE could do nothing, except what HE heard from God.

The same is true for us today.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  Jn. 6:63

Jesus speaks to us today by HIS Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth.

Until we hear what God has to say by HIS Spirit, we can do nothing.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Click here to hear music for this hymn:  I'm pressing on the upward way

1.  I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

Chorus:

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Heaven's tableland;

A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2.  My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3.  I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

4.   I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

πŸ’₯ Prosper and have good success in all that you do: What the Bible says.

Comments by Joan Boney:

As a new Christian, in 1975, God showed me by the Bible how to prosper and have good success in all that we do on this earth.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law (The Holy Bible) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Another scripture telling us the same thing:

Psalm 1

1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I believed these two sections of scripture, and because I believed, I began doing verses of scripture immediately.

For the past 50 years, I have been doing various scriptures from both Old and New Testaments.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I believe the first scripture I did was Romans 13:8  ... Owe no man anything ...

I felt God saying to me:  "Get out of debt ... and stay out of debt."

I'm sure I was out of debt within a few months.  Once we set our hearts to do a scripture, God helps us do that scripture...

I never went into debt for anything after that.  I didn't take out a mortgage.  I paid rent until God made it possible for me to build 2 small apartments on a lot owned by my parents in Clovis, New Mexico, USA.

It turned out there was a lot of noise in that area of the town.  I was unhappy there.  So I began looking for another lot in a quieter part of Clovis.  I found what I wanted on a golf course.  I could purchase a lot for $13,700.  I had saved sufficient money to pay cash for the lot.  Five years later, I had accumulated enough money through the sale of the apartment and money left to me by my dad, to build a house on the lot.  The house cost $120,000 and I paid cash for that in 1990.  When my mother died in 2002, I sold that house for $227,000 and built a house in Lubbock, Texas, and paid cash for that house.

I never tried to make money.  I just kept following verses of scripture and had success in all that I did.   Just like the scripture said I would in Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1.

Though it is in the Old Testament, I have found Deuteronomy 28 to work for new testament Christians who do what the scripture says day by day.

Deuteronomy 28

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in His season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

πŸ’₯ Making scripture live in us as we live in that scripture daily.

Comments by Joan Boney:

This past year the following scripture caught my attention.

2 Peter 3:14   Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

I began focusing daily on doing this:  living in peace, without spot, blameless

It consumed my life!  It has taken me at least a year and I'm still on fire, doing these things in my daily life.

Eventually this scripture will be a firm anchor, living in me as I live in this scripture.

Jesus said:   John 15:4  Abide in ME (the Word), and I in you.

This is the way we do that!

Exodus 12

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

***

21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when HE seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as HE hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when HE smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

***

29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.

32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

42 It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

43 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

44 But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.

48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Examples of the Working of the Holy Spirit

Every time I think of the following wonderful example of the working of the Holy Spirit I laugh.

When my mother was still living I would go get our food at the same place daily. It cost $5.30. I would take out the five-dollar-bill and a quarter and nickel and leave my purse in car with my mother.

One day I could not find a quarter and nickel in my purse. As I was searching through the change, I clearly heard (in form of thought), "Three dimes will work ..." I began laughing for I had plenty of dimes in my purse!
***

Sometimes the way is blocked to us through habit and God will help us out showing us another way to go!

Another example:

I had a commode that was hard to flush. Each time I tried to flush it I had to hold the handle down for several seconds. It had become more and more annoying to me.

I went into bath and it seemed it was taking even longer than usual to flush commode. I was mumbling, fussing at commode.

Then I heard: "Would you rather have an out-house?"

"NO!" ... I shouted!

The next day I called plumber.

*****

I receive several invitations to go to various parts of the world and speak to ministers and to church groups (always at my own expense).

But I believe God has shown me not to travel, although I travel daily all over the world by the Internet writings we do daily on blog (Jesus Ministries Exhorations) and by e-books (published by Amazon)... and now by podcasts.

One invitation was especially appealing to me. I really wanted to go speak to these ministers. But what does God want me to do? I turned strongly to God in prayer. I asked HIM to give me something that would strongly anchor me in what HE wanted me to do about this subject. I just didn't feel I had a strong anchor to really hold me firmly in place.

Almost immediately I heard the following words: "Remember the cat ..." I said, "Oh, yeah ... the cat!" (I have a Siamese cat.)

I laughed! I was expecting a more lofty anchor ... I was expecting God to give me a scripture to show me what to do ... But the cat is a very real anchor!

I knew God was confirming to me that I was to stay home and do what I had been doing ... read the Bible and exhort the church daily through writings! My flesh was kept in place, in the real will of God, by the Holy Spirit after I committed the subject to God in prayer.

*****

In the 70's, I owned a business in Dallas, TX (USA). A man called me from Houston, TX (USA) and wanted to come talk to me about running a business, because his wife had just started the same kind of business, American Indian Arts, that I had at that time.

I begged this man not to come to see me, telling him I know nothing at all about business. But he said I was the person recommended to him by others and he wanted to talk with me about marketing. He was graduate of Harvard University Business School. I was horrified at the idea of having to talk with him. But he insisted.

The first thing he asked was about my marketing plan.

I was praying constantly as I spoke with him.

I replied: "Well ... you see ... I am a Christian ... So before I go out to buy the art objects I pray asking God to have the Indians make the objects. Then when I get to the reservations I pray, asking God to show me the objects to buy. Then when I return home, I pray, asking God to send out the angels to get the customers to come in and purchase the items, and everything sells."

There was a long pause. Then he said, "Well ... that's a form of marketing." (No further questions and he left.)

*****

To me, after I was born again, everything was dependent upon God. And it still is!

I get frightened and even panicked but God always settles me by HIS Spirit and puts me on the way HE wants me to go. All is done by HIS Spirit causing a scripture to stand out to me so I will know what to do ... or by a dream ... or by the Word of God carried directly to my mind by the Holy Spirit ... or sometimes God plants what to do in my heart, and I just know.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When I was new Christian, a man sued me for a million-dollars. It was so silly to me because I probably had only $2000 to $3000 dollars at the time. Finally I realized judgment would come against me unless I responded to this legal suit and I could end up losing my business. So I hired a lawyer.

But as months continued on, all the profit from sale of merchandise in my business was going to pay legal fees.

Finally, I knew I had to put a stop to this.

I had prayed many times and a scripture was brought to my attention (Holy Spirit).

Isaiah 54:17 ... No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

I told lawyer this lawsuit was a weapon against me and if the Bible is true it would not prosper since I am now a Christian. So after a few months of legal bills, I had decided to dismiss his law firm and go to court without human legal counsel.

Lawyer was so shocked.

He said, "Joan ... you can't do this. You don't realize how evil these courts are. It will only take another $10,000 to try your case."

At that point I was shocked and replied,

"$10,000 more ... Stop Gordon ... don't do anything else."

I dismissed the attorney.

About a week later, Gordon called me and told me they had decided to try my case without further charge to me. But what is going on? One week it was going to cost me $10,000 more and the next week it was going to be free?  (And I didn't hear Gordon mention anything about God.)

What is going on here?

I told Gordon I would have to see.

I prayed, and God (by HIS Spirit) reminded me of the following scripture ...

Gen. 14:21-23 ... And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

By this I knew God was telling me to turn down the "free" legal service, so I did that.

Several months past as we awaited trial.

Then six days before the trial the man dropped all charges against everyone. He had been suing several people and his lawyer who called me to tell me of the dropping of charges said this man "cut everyone loose”. It was over. But it was terrifying. And it went on for several months.

During that time, God would remind me of scripture to help me (again it was the Holy Spirit bringing these scriptures to my attention). I recorded the scriptures on cassette tape and played the tape each night. I would fall asleep to the scriptures and when I awoke during the night I would start the recorder again. This helped sustain me during the months of torment and fear.

1  Have Thine own way, Lord,
  Have Thine own way;
Thou art the Potter,
  I am the clay.
Mould me and make me
  After Thy will,
While I am waiting,
  Yielded and still.

2   Have Thine own way, Lord,
  Have Thine own way;
Search me and try me,
  Master, today.
Whiter than snow, Lord,
  Wash me just now,
As in Thy presence
  Humbly I bow.

3   Have Thine own way, Lord,
  Have Thine own way;
Wounded and weary,
  Help me, I pray.
Power, all power,
  Surely is Thine,
Touch me and heal me,
  Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord,
  Have Thine own way;
Hold o’er my being
  Absolute sway.
Fill with Thy Spirit
  Till all shall see
Christ only, always,
  Living in me.

πŸ’₯ Letter to Sandra Chupik from Joan Boney

(Comments by Joan Boney:  This is a "follow-up" letter after I spent multiple days and many hours on phone counseling Sandra Chupik on spiritual matters.)

***

Sandra:

I really was a little sad and grieved over you yesterday. But of course glad to finally establish you really are born again. (by radio story which you told me)

***

I'm concerned over your display of failure to recognize when devil is speaking and when God is speaking.

***

Your rush to be righteous is "killing you".  Let your way be established by God bringing thoughts to establish previous thoughts.

***

Speed reading through the Bible and Blog will avail nothing and will even damn you according to I Corinthians 11:29.

***

We must carefully take each concept, see if we are doing that in our life, and if not, start applying scripture daily to our life making scripture live in us by doing it .

James 1

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

***

πŸ’₯  Go forward by taking the most recent scripture you feel the Holy Spirit has given you and meditate on it and do it.

An example:  For several months I've been structuring my life on "live in peace, without spot and blameless." 2 Peter 3:14

***

Stop speaking those things devil tells you.

Speak truth ... even on the number of times you were divorced. It is misleading to say you are a divorced woman when you are a twice divorced woman. You must learn to speak truth and not yield to deception, speaking hypocrisy.

***

You do have a few things to build on. Radio story shows God leading you and giving you joy over truth.  (born again/changed)

Doing what God showed you in dream, in bringing Dilly and coming to church meeting in Colorado.

***

Focus on the good, not the evil ... and above all bridle your tongue and stop speaking things that discourage another Christian as you did with me.

James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Hebrews 10:23-24  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE is faithful that promised;)  24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

***

Build on doing right using the examples of your doing wrong to correct yourself.

I want things to begin to go right way, way of God!  (turn the car around)

Love, Joan

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Each of us must judge ourselves properly and correct our way correctly by truth of God.

I Corinthians 11  (eating and drinking the scriptures, the Word of God, properly)

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread (The scriptures), and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself (by the scriptures), and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. (examining himself by the scriptures)

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep (die).

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

πŸ’₯ Locusts & darkness

Exodus 10

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these MY signs before him:

2 And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and MY signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

***

3 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

4 Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

6 And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day.

And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

8 And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

10 And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

11 Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

17 Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that HE may take away from me this death only.

18 And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

***

21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

25 And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

29 And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ One plague more.

Exodus 11

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

(Today God puts a difference between the elect of God and the unbelievers of this world.)

8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me
(to Moses), and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he (Moses) went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that MY wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Believe Not Every Spirit But Try the Spirits

The Holy Spirit speaks to us in the form of a thought ... but so do other spirits!

I Jn. 4:1 ... Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.

So we must present ideas to God in prayer and allow HIM to establish our thinking in the various issues. I try the ideas brought to my mind by turning to God in prayer and by waiting on God to persuade me.

God is able to communicate with us and to confirm the direction we are to take on this earth in a way which we can understand.

There is another way to try the spirits which I have done many times.

I Jn. 4:2-3 ...Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

I have often tried the spirit by simply asking that spirit "Do you confess Jesus Christ is come in the flesh" ... and I will hear either yes or no from that spirit in form of thought.

*****

In the past years, I have so many examples of individuals who started out to do a work they thought was of God only to find they were unable to do that work. Often they came to me thinking I could help them do the work. What I saw is this: The work was not of God. They never believed me and they kept trying to do the work but so far as I know none of them were ever able to do the work.

*****

One woman who came to me said she was sure God wanted her to start a home Bible class. She bought a house in the neighborhood she could afford and moved in. But she was so afraid of the neighbors she couldn't start the class.

Also she said she thought God wanted her to write a book. She put some things on paper but no one would consider publishing it. She didn't even have enough money to have the pages copied to submit them to publisher and she had no real market for the book.

All this is nonsense.

*****

At the church I once attended, a young couple said God was sending them to Israel to preach the gospel. He quit his secular job. They set out for Israel. In a week, they had returned to church. They said it was impossible in Israel and they did not speak the language.

Again this is nonsense and terribly harmful.

These are examples of following the wrong spirit.

*****

Each time God has shown me to do something, the way to do the work has also been shown me.

In January, 1980, what I believe to have been an angel of the Lord, spoke to me in the night while I was sleeping. It was a voice like a trumpet and was so loud I jumped out of bed immediately.

The words spoken were: "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"

It seemed clear to me that KWJS would be call letters to either radio or TV station.

(It turned out to be radio station.)

I said to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio. I wouldn't know how to do this. I'm a writer not a speaker."

Immediately the gentle thought came, "Call the radio station manager."

(Holy Spirit bringing way to go from God)

First thing that morning I called and spoke with the station manager and he told me to make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to him and if I fit their broadcast format he would offer me a contract.

(That same morning I made an audition recording and mailed it that same day to the radio station.)

I asked the radio station manager how much it costs to be on his station, and he said it was $800 per month for 5 day week/30 min broadcast. I prayed, asking God how I should pay for it.

The thought came to write the people I knew and tell them what happened.

At the time, I knew fewer than 80 people.

But I wrote telling what happened.

I did not ask for money.

I just told them what happened. I had the letter copied and mailed it. Within 24 hrs. more than enough money had arrived to pay for the first month of broadcasts. And I was on the air on radio within a week.

See how important the working of the Holy Spirit is when we believe God has shown us to do something. We do not know the will of God except by the revealing of the Holy Spirit.

There is a man who came to me thinking I might be able to help him. He had written a book and couldn’t get it published. Someone at his church group prophesied over him that he would be quitting his profession in secular world to devote full attention to his book and to lectures. I was horrified!

His wife was very disturbed because she felt he had damaged his reputation with his secular employers by telling them about this book which had to do with US Constitution and Bible.

I did what I could to turn him from this "folly".   But he withdrew from me though he lived across the street from me at the time.

(I learned several years later that he self-published his book.  He sold some books but his wife said it was impossible to interest a publisher in the book since he wasn't a public figure.  I had impression  he had paid for the publishing and books were at his own house. Also the books seemed rather expensive to me with the hardback at approximately $35 and paperback at $25.  It was not available in e-book.  His wife said she would have him bring me an "autographed" copy but he never did do that.)

Beware of an angel of light ... seems like God but brings harm ...

Paul speaks of this as follows:   II Cor. 11:13-15

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

It can seem like goodness and light only to be destruction.

And often there is a terrible thing. To quit a disastrous work seems like a lack of faith. But in reality the work itself was not authored by God. This happens a lot.

Jesus said … Mt. 7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Everything must be proven by prayer or by directly trying the spirit that brought the thought.

Also consider the following concerning that wisdom which is from God ...

James 3:17 ... But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

And Jesus explained:  Mt. 11:28-30 ...  Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For MY yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

If the plan is very hard to do and will bring great hardship upon you and your family, you have likely heard from the wrong spirit.

Be very careful about "good" works. Pray. Wait on God to confirm the direction.

Prov. 3:6-7 ... In all thy ways acknowledge HIM (pray), and HE shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes.

Prov. 16:25 ... There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

So many ministers contact me asking me to give them money to help pay for their works.

But there is no such example in the Bible of a minister asking another minister to give him money.

Nor is there any example in Bible of a minister asking a church group to give him money.

And I know many "ministers" are led into good works by other spirits and by ideas of man.

My experience with God is when God authors a work God also provides a way to do the work without begging for money from other ministers or from other people.

David said:

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor HIS seed begging bread.  Psa. 37:25
