πŸ’₯ God is in charge ... so pray! It works.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Timothy 2  Paul says:

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Comments by Joan Boney:

I don't know anything about offices such as attorney general, but after Mr. Trump was elected as President of USA, I happened to hear some people discussing how important the Attorney General selection would be so I began praying at that time.

God is in charge.  God raises up one and puts down another.

I don't expect the world to be godly, but when we pray a godly prayer, it adds to our live a layer of "peace".

Last night I had prayed that God would stop this man if he was going to be trouble to us.  Pam has also been concerned about him.  She has been praying.  I didn't know this when I prayed last night.  But she told me she also had prayed about this man.  She said he "makes her skin crawl".  (Spiritual gift:  discerning of spirits ... I Cor. 12:10)

Chapter 1

Bringing Thoughts to the Obedience of Christ, The Word

The important thing when a negative thought, a destructive thought, comes is to bring that thought into the obedience of Christ, into the obedience of THE WORD, through prayer.

The apostle Paul said …

II Corinthians 10   For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

*****

We purpose to build our lives on THE WORD OF GOD, ON WHAT GOD SAYS, rather than what the world and humans say.

The world and the “intelligent” people of the world learn to plan for the future …

But God has another way for HIS people, which sounds like foolishness to the people of this world.

Jesus teaches HIS people the following …

Mt. 6No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Can you make yourself an inch taller by thinking about it?

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall HE not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

*****

One of the first things to free ourselves from this world and the ways of this world is to learn to do that which Jesus teaches us which goes against everything humans usually do, and that is to provide for themselves by their own fleshly wisdom.

We have to learn another way to follow God.

*****

What is it Jesus said?

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

We start each day by asking God, “What do YOU want me to do today? Please guide me and order my day today.” (seek the kingdom of God.)

Then we begin to learn to “take no thought for tomorrow”.

A great many thoughts will come to us during the day concerning “tomorrow”.

To start learning this path presented by Jesus in Matthew 6, we need to be aware throughout today when thoughts come about something that is scheduled for tomorrow or of something that “might” happen tomorrow.

When that happens, we need to STOPand begin praying about tomorrow …

Basically we learn to take care of TODAY through both prayer about what we are about to do and then by taking action appropriate to today

and concerning TOMORROW, we need to pray.

*****

If we have dread about something ahead, we need to turn to God and ask God to give us wisdom and help us. We might need to cancel that thing or we might need to approach it in another way. Regardless, it needs our prayer… We might start to “day dream”, speculating about something we think might happen tomorrow … We might even imagine conversations we are going to have tomorrow with other people … Our mind can get out of control concerning tomorrow.

We must reign our mind in and turn to God for help.

*****

When you start trying to “take no thought for tomorrow”, you are likely to find a great many thoughts coming to you concerning “tomorrow”.

Each time, you must pray about “tomorrow” if you are to overcome in this.

It takes effort to enter into the things of God. It takes faith that God will uphold you as you purpose to honor The Word by doing the Word.

Few people find the way of “life” and many people go in the way of “destruction.”, says Jesus.

Mt. 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

*****

Few who call themselves Christians ever learn to rest in the way God shows in the Bible.

Start with prayer, asking God about those ideas that come to you … asking God to show you HIS way for the various plans you have already made … Be willing to make changes if needed … Confirm your way with both prayer and the Bible.

*****

Especially important: Pay close attention to any scripture called to your mind, for that is likely the Holy Spirit speaking directly to you with a “special” message to you from the heart of God.

*****

I Cor. 2 Paul explains to us ...

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.

But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit:

for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

*****

Many examples will be given of “Taking Thoughts Captive” as you continue in the following exhortations in this book.

But I urge you:  Ask yourself this:

* Do I dread anything scheduled "tomorrow" ... If you dread anything, turn to God in prayer.  Ask God to give you wisdom.  Maybe that which you dread can be changed someway.  Ask God to show you.

An example:  I dreaded a dental appointment.  I never seem to have a good report from dentist.  After praying over this "dread", God showed me to start using a mouth wash after rinsing.  That will help me to take care of my teeth.   I started immediately and have continued doing that every tooth brushing thereafter!

If the dread continues after prayer, you might need to cancel the plan or make an adjustment.

(Please notice:  It will do no good just to read this chapter.  You must do the instruction to be helped.  Jesus said, "Take no thought for tomorrow."  You must take action in prayer whereby you have settled the plan with God for tomorrow so you take no thought.  You might have to change something that troubles you in the plan.  God will give you wisdom if you pray, asking Him.)

Another example:

The dentist said I had 2 teeth to fill.  She scheduled the work to be done on next available appointment.  I had immediate dread!

I prayed over the dread.  I wasn't aware that God showed me anything to do.

Several weeks later, Pam Padgett was driving me to the dental appointment when all of a sudden I had a thought come from God.  "Just fix one tooth today.  Schedule the appointment for the second tooth at next available date on dentist's calendar."

I asked dentist if it would be alright to do that.  The dentist said that would actually benefit her to do that.  She would like to fix the lower tooth.  She was pregnant and it was difficult to work on upper teeth.  She scheduled the 2nd filling (upper) for 4 months later.  By then she had already had the baby (a girl) and there was no hardship on her bending over to work on upper teeth!

There was no dread between appointments.

Deal with dread through prayer.

(Sometimes you even need to change doctors.)

Don't live with fear or dread.  Pray.  Make changes as God shows you what to do.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Mark 3 (Reading through the Bible)

And He entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

And they watched Him, whether He would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse Him.

And He saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

And He saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?

But they held their peace.

And when He had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand.

And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

But Jesus withdrew Himself with His disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judaea,And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things He did, came unto Him.

And He spake to His disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng Him. 10 For He had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon Him for to touch Him, as many as had plagues.

11 And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make Him known.

13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him.

14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach,

15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

16 And Simon He surnamed Peter; 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and He surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder: 18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,   And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed Him: and they went into an house.

20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

21 And when His friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on Him: for they said, He is beside himself.

22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth He out devils.

23 And He called them unto him, and said unto them in parables,

How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

(It is a very serious matter to accuse someone who is speaking by the Spirit of God to be of the devil ... blasphemy against the Holy Ghost who is speaking through that accused man.)

31 There came then His brethren and His mother, and, standing without, sent unto Him, calling Him.

32 And the multitude sat about Him, and they said unto Him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

33 And He answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

34 And He looked round about on them which sat about Him, and said, Behold My mother and My brethren!

35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is My brother, and My sister, and mother.

πŸ’₯ Bible tells us to pray concerning those who are in authority.

I Timothy 2  Paul says:

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I have been praying daily over USA ever since Mr. Trump was elected President.

I had heard this man he nominated for Attorney General was very questionable.  So I began praying that if the man was dangerous in some way, God would stop this man.

Today, the headlines on world news are:  "Gaetz withdraws as Trump's Attorney General Pick"

I gave thanks to God.  Just last night I prayed asking God to stop this man from getting to be USA attorney general if he would someway be a problem.

God is in control and we live in peace by praying over potential problem in governments of men.

Pray concerning those who are in authority.

πŸ’₯ Books in the Life in Christ series

 Comments by Joan Boney:

Paul encouraged the young evangelist, Timothy,

I Timothy 4:13  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

I have used this instruction to keep myself going since 1975 when I was born again.

Reading:  Godly exhortations, mostly in Bible, both Old and new Testaments.  Like the Bible, truly godly exhortations never get old for they are from God to help us to "hang on" and endure to the end.

Exhortations:  Advice and warnings in ways of God, checking ourselves by scriptures as the days grow more evil around us as they will do in the last days.

Doctrines:  In the last days many churches will "fall away" from doctrines of Christ and allow other doctrines to be set up for new generations of followers.  This is antichrist in the end time churches, says Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Some of the ways of this world are opposite to the teachings of the Bible, and doctrines from the Bible have been removed from some church groups.  Doctrines concerning marriage/divorce/ remarriage and homosexuals & lesbians are often different from the doctrines of the Bible.  Antichrist even appears in New Testament church groups where the doctrines of Paul and Peter are changed.

For example:  Jesus said the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Mt. 5:32)

Paul told us homosexuals and lesbians are turned over to these "vile affections" by God when they mishandled the truth of God.  (Romans 1:24-28)  Some churches even approve unrepentant homosexuals and lesbians in the church group and stop teaching the doctrine of sin shown in the Bible as society of the world approves the homosexuals and lesbians.

I've often heard the older Christians say, "Things are so watered down at their church today that they find a problem continuing to attend church."

I was born again when God said to me ... "Joan ... you know those "mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

If they stop preaching sin, and people don't realize what they are doing is sin, salvation begins to decrease in the congregation and a social doctrine rises whereby few are born again.

My mother and father did not attend any church.  They were both born again in their 70's and wanted to go to church after they were changed by God.

Mark 2 (Reading through the Bible)

And again He entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that He was in the house.

2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and He preached the word unto them.

3 And they come unto Him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4 And when they could not come nigh unto Him for the press, they uncovered the roof where He was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

(Determination to get to God ... which ever way they could ... also shows a faith that Jesus could help them.)

5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, He said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (He saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

(Jesus does not tell us to do that which we are unable to do!)

13 And He went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto Him, and He taught them.

14 And as He passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow Me.

And he arose and followed Him.

***

15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and His disciples: for there were many, and they followed Him.

16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto His disciples, How is it that He eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

17 When Jesus heard it, He saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

***

18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto Him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Thy disciples fast not?

19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.

22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

***

23 And it came to pass, that He went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and His disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

24 And the Pharisees said unto Him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

25 And He said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

27 And He said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Mark 1 (Reading through the Bible)

 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make HIS paths straight.

4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

7 And preached, saying, There cometh ONE mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but HE shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

(All works of God are done through us by the Holy Spirit. The flesh of the human profits nothing. You can think it a good thing you are doing only to be turned away at judgment by Jesus. (Matthew 7)
Only those works authored by God are good. And it is through the Holy Spirit we know the works of God.)

Mark 1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon HIM:

11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art MY beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

12 And immediately the spirit driveth HIM into the wilderness.

13 And HE was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto HIM.

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

16 Now as HE walked by the sea of Galilee, HE saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after ME, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed HIM.

19 And when HE had gone a little farther thence, HE saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

20 And straightway HE called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after HIM.

21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day HE entered into the synagogue, and taught.

22 And they were astonished at HIS doctrine: for HE taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth HE even the unclean spirits, and they do obey HIM.

(The Word does drive unclean spirits away from us when we receive the Word and go in the way of the Word.)

28 And immediately HIS fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell HIM of her.

(This was Peter's mother-in-law who was sick. Yes, the apostle Peter was married, and Peter even had children because Peter said he was an elder as well as an apostle, and to be an elder you have to have children, having your house under control. Titus 1)

Mark 1:31 And HE came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto HIM all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.

34 And HE healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew HIM.

35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, HE went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

36 And Simon and they that were with HIM followed after HIM.

37 And when they had found HIM, they said unto HIM, All men seek for Thee.

38 And HE said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

39 And HE preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

40 And there came a leper to HIM, beseeching HIM, and kneeling down to HIM, and saying unto HIM, If Thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth HIS hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

42 And as soon as HE had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

43 And HE straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to HIM from every quarter.

πŸ’₯ The end-time falling away: Antichrist in the end time NT church

The apostle Paul says:

2 Thessalonians 2

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I was reading this scripture in 1982, and God said to me:  "The falling away is not people leaving the church group ... The end time falling away are the church groups falling away from scripture of the Holy Bible and setting up other doctrine in the church group."

This is the apostasy of the end times.

Matthew 28 (Reading through the Bible)

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

His (the angel's) countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

HE is not here: for HE is risen, as He said.

Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples word.

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see ME.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept.

14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

πŸ’₯ What God says in the Bible about divorce and remarriage for men and for women.

Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Comments by Joan Boney:

A man in our church group filed divorce papers against his wife.

When I heard this, I called him and asked: "Was your wife unfaithful."

After a brief pause, he answered, "No."

I said:  According to the Bible (Mt. 5:32) the only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his was is if she is having sex with another man.

Apparently he read Mt. 5:32 ... for he withdrew the divorce from the US courts.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 7:10-11  Paul says:  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law  (law of God not the OT law of Moses) as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

Romans 7:2-3  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Matthew 5:32 ...  Makes it clear that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery ... Jesus says:  and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

(Most NT churches today have changed this doctrine and no longer teach what the Bible says about divorce and remarriage.  This is antichrist to change a doctrine from the Bible.)

Hebrews 11:6-10   But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Matthew 5:14-16  Jesus says ... Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

“easy to be intreated” from the above scripture tells us that the wisdom given us by God will be easy to be dealt with.

Matthew 11:28-30 (Jesus said)  Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

Matthew 27 (Reading through the BIble)

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death:

And when they had bound Him, they led Him away, and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Then Judas, which had betrayed Him, when He saw that He was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.

And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
10 And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

*****

11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews?

And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12 And when He was accused of the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.

13 Then said Pilate unto Him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14 And He answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.
16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered Him.

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you?

They said, Barabbas.

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?

They all say unto him, Let Him be crucified.

23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath He done?

But they cried out the more, saying, Let Him be crucified.

24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto Him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped Him, and put on Him a scarlet robe.

29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30 And they spit upon Him, and took the reed, and smote Him on the head.

31 And after that they had mocked Him, they took the robe off from Him, and put His own raiment on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.

32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear His cross.

33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34 They gave Him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when He had tasted thereof, He would not drink.

35 And they crucified Him, and parted His garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted My garments among them, and upon My vesture did they cast lots.

36 And sitting down they watched Him there;

37 And set up over His head His accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.

38 Then were there two thieves crucified with Him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

39 And they that passed by reviled Him, wagging their heads,  40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save Thyself.  If Thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking Him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42 He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him. 43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him: for He said, I am the Son of God.

44 The thieves also, which were crucified with Him, cast the same in His teeth.

45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?

47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink.

49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save Him.

50 Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto Him: 56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

*****

57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also Himself was Jesus' disciple: 58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

*****

62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night, and steal Him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
