Joan Boney … apostle/prophet
* Prove all things:
How?
- Through prayer … asking God to show you … asking God to give you HIS wisdom.
Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in HIS sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do.

They come to us, often hiding things. Later we are shocked by that which they do and say. But if we would allow God to show us, we would avoid some of the pain brought by them.

- Follow the Holy Spirit
A woman once came to my house. The first visit, I spoke continually sharing things of God. But on subsequent visits I noticed spiritual sharing came to an end. God brought nothing out of me. Everything was secular. And I began to feel uncomfortable when I thought of her. She looked fine. Almost none of her speaking troubled me. But something was wrong. I prayed, asking God and telling God I was troubled. After that, weeks would pass and she was never brought to my mind and she didn't come to my house. It just ended.
In 1980, I was given 2 round trip tickets to Europe by one of my radio audience.
I took with me a woman from the church I attended at that time. Emogene was a magnificent coloratura soprano. She and her husband had ministered in Europe for many years, often 8 weeks at a time. She knew many pastors in Europe. She set up our trip of one month so I would speak and she would sing to church groups that met in homes in Paris, Zurich, Germany, and Belgium.
At that time, Emogene said to me, "Joan … you must learn to be very sensitive to the Spirit of God. We don't know the language. Just look at the spirit that is in them."
The first year I was on radio, 1980, I was invited to speak to a group in San Antonio, Texas.
I invited Emogene to go with me and sing before I spoke.
We spent the night in the home of one of the women in the group. This woman and I talked a lot, mostly about scripture. But later Emogene said to me, "That woman really drains you."
I learned later that some people take every drop of blood that you have without improving spiritually!
Paul warns us:
II Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

* Hold fast that which is good.
We find out what is good through prayer … and by paying attention to that given us by the Holy Spirit.
Each of us must examine our own lives.
I prayed, asking God to show me what is "good".
And I noted those things for my life.
You have to determine this for your life.
But first, I prayed for God to create in me a clean heart and to renew a right spirit in me … for if you have evil in your heart, you will end up judging evil to be good … and good to be evil.
***
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
