πŸ’₯ Podcast: When our righteousness is of God

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on July 4, 2020)

When God brings a scripture or a concept to our mind, and we follow that instruction, then our "righteousness" is of God for God is the author of our plan.

We can follow "that" direction with assurance and cling to that concept and know it will come to pass in our lives. Also our faith is in God when that is the situation.

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the Lord.

Matthew 7:22-23  Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Scriptures:

Psalm 34:15  The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.

1 John 4:12  No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and HIS love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in HIM, and HE in us, because HE hath given us of HIS Spirit.

1 John 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh, even if you have sex with an harlot, says Paul

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on January 7, 2023)

(Doctrines of Christ: 1 Cor. 6)

I Corinthians 6:13-18

13 ... Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by HIS own power.

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE (God), shall be one flesh.

17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Scriptures:

2 Timothy 2:1-3  Paul said to Timothy:  Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Comments by Beth Martin:
When reading the above scripture, the words "endure hardness" stood out to me.

Endure - to suffer something difficult, unpleasant or painful, to accept or continue in a situation that is difficult or unpleasant.

Hardness- unyielding, purposeful, adamant, unbending, undaunted.

I believe that we must keep to the path God has shown us no matter how difficult it is for us to do. We are strong in HIS grace.

Comments by Pam Padgett:
When Joan was enrolled in home hospice care, a nurse came each week to our home to care for Joan.  We enjoyed her visits and she seemed very competent.  She was a License Practical Nurse (LPN).

After a couple weeks, a Register Nurse (RN) was also assigned to help care for Joan.  During her first visit, this RN announced that she was raised Muslim.  She went on to make fun of her husband's mother who didn't want him to marry her because of this.  His mother said "Couldn't you find a nice Christian girl?"  Joan told this nurse that she (Joan) would feel the same way as her husband's mother, but this nurse didn't seem to grasp what Joan said and went on with what she obviously thought was a funny story about her mother-in-law.

When this nurse left, Joan asked me "What are we going to do about this nurse, given what we're told in 2 John?"  I replied "I don't know"

2 John vv.7-11   For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Joan went on to say "I hope we don't have to tell anyone why we don't want her here."  I felt the same way.  We both knew those of the world and many church people would not understand why we couldn't have this woman in our home and would likely think us wrong and/or strange.

We each prayed about how to deal with this.  We didn't want to cause trouble for this nurse.   But we knew we couldn't have her in our house because of the scriptures.

So we endured hardness ... persevering in obeying what God has said.  I contacted the hospice office and requested that this RN no longer be assigned to care for Joan.  It took 2 phone calls and I needed to tell them exactly why we were making this request ...  what the Bible says ... before they would consider making a change in assignment.

But no one understood.  Joan suggested I contact the hospice chaplain for help in this.  He talked with the nursing coordinator, although it was obvious that he didn't really understand what we are told in 2 John and why we couldn't have this nurse in our home.

Finally, another RN was assigned to care for Joan.  The new RN, Deborah, has a wonderful spirit.  After the first visit, I turned to Joan and said "I believe she is truly born again" and Joan agreed.  It was a delight to have Deborah come to our house and we could freely share things of God with her and she with us.  She was also very skillful in caring for hospice patients and was a great help to both Joan and me.

πŸ’₯ Helped by God after taking concerns to HIM

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

I have a 14 year old Yorkie who has a problem with his back legs associated with his age. He can still walk but not nearly as well as he did when he was younger.

Recently something happened to one of his back legs and he started yelping in pain. And, after this happened, for the rest of that day, he wasn’t able to put weight on that leg, so he wasn’t able to walk, at all.

This concerned me because I knew if he lost the ability to walk, I would probably have to have him put to sleep.

After we went to bed that night I kept thinking about him, knowing he still couldn’t walk and wondering what would happen with this tomorrow.  Would tomorrow be the day I would have to take him to the vet and leave him and never see him again?

I felt so sad and dreaded facing the night, knowing I would be thinking about this until morning.

But then I remembered that I could talk to God about this.  So I did that, instead of continuing to grieve over what might happen tomorrow.

As I quietly talked all of this over with God, both making my requests known to God and thanking HIM for creating these animals for us to enjoy, I realized that I didn’t feel grief and dread anymore, but rather a peace and calmness had come over me. The kind of peace only God can give us.

Sometime that night or early the next morning, I had a dream or vision (not sure which) of my dog walking in the back yard.

That morning I was able to see him do this and it made me so happy and grateful to God for HIS help and kindness shown me when I turned to HIM for help.

Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Why does it matter?

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 30, 2020)

Many, who say they are Christians say it really doesn't matter, when confronted with small details about Bible. So why would it matter?  It matters because it shows us which people are antichrist in the church today and which churches are antichrists.

Those who care about the small details in the Bible are the Christians. The others who do not care are antichrists in the churches.

Examples:

πŸ’₯ Podcast: The great tribulation will continue over many days, or possibly even years, when it does come. It will not be over quickly.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 29, 2020)

In the Coronavirus, we, in USA, were shut up in our homes for 3 months and we barely survived.

One plague of the great tribulation is five months and there are 14 plagues. The endurance will be incredible during the great tribulation.

The elect of God will barely survive.

Jesus said:

Matthew 24

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

By this, we know some of the elect will go through the days of the great tribulation and those plagues that God is sending upon this earth.

Also in one plague we see this:

Revelation 9

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

By this we see some who have "the seal of God" in their foreheads will be living on this earth during the plagues that are coming.

If any of us happen to be one of those, we will have to be able to endure the plagues.

How to endure between now and then?

Some church goers don't seem to understand Jesus is "The Word."

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Be not deceived: Evil communications corrupt good manners

(This podcast previously recorded and published on June 28, 2020)

If someone in a church group turns from a portion of scripture and goes another way, that person will bring "evil communications" to us in his way of life.

We cannot stay around such a person as this unless he will correct himself if we admonish him with godly correction.

I Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

If we warn that person and he rejects our warning, we will be pulled down in grief over him, and we must not deceive ourselves into thinking that we will be able to help him by being with him.

It is God who teaches each of us.

If a person is not being taught by God, we will not be able to reach him.

The fact that God is not teaching him means he is not of God.

We will waste ourselves if we keep trying to give him instruction from God. Instead we must do the following:

Titus 3

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Don't keep trying to send messages to him. If he rejects the first or second message, just walk away from him. It is so important to our safety to learn to stop sending messages after he rejects one or two messages. Just do the above scripture!

Words spoken by people stick inside us like a seed and at some point bear fruit in us unless we choose to root up the concept by that given us by God.

John 15:10-11  (Jesus said):  If ye keep MY commandments, ye shall abide in MY love; even as I have kept MY Father's commandments, and abide in HIS love.

πŸ’₯ When two dreams showing the same thing are given by God ...

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

One day a while back Joan called and said she had been given two dreams where she died.  I think she called wondering if God might give me any wisdom on this that would help in some way.

I told her it made me think that God was showing her something that was going to happen and probably fairly soon.  (It was hard to say this but I felt it was from God).

She said that is what she thought also.

I don’t remember anything else being said about this during the conversation.

I knew I had read something in the Bible that made me say what I did but I could not remember where in the Bible this was spoken about … having to do with two dreams that tell us the same thing and the fulfillment of those dreams in a short period of time.

After I learned Joan had died, I thought about this and looked it up and found it in Genesis chapter 41

Pharaoh had two dreams but didn’t know what they meant.

But Joseph was given the interpretation by God and he referred to them as “one dream” as each one told Pharaoh the same thing, as Joan’s two dreams told her.

Joseph also said this about the dreams …

Genesis 41:32  And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Seeing these things helps by increasing my faith in the power of God and in HIS mercy to HIS servants, as we saw in this situation with Joan.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Comments by Pam Padgett, member of the body of Christ

Joan lived at my house during the last 6 years of her life on this earth.

One day earlier this year Joan told me of the two dreams she had been given showing that she had died.  She told me she didn't want to tell me these dreams, not wanting to worry me or cause me concern, but felt she probably needed to tell me.

I laughed and told her that for several weeks when I came downstairs in the morning, one of the first things I did was to look in her room to see if she was breathing.  I had not done that before this time.  It was as if I "knew" she was going to die before long.  So hearing of the dreams Joan had been given was no surprise and didn't worry or bother me.

I believe God had put in my heart what HE had shown Joan in the dreams (that she would die before long), showing us what was coming.  Preparing us and comforting us.

Joan died on May 27, 2025.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: The church is built on The Word which is revealed by God by HIS Holy Spirit

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 6, 2022)

Matthew 16 (Jesus says:)

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The Church is built upon The Word that comes down from heaven: The revealed Word from God.

Each time we read a scripture and God opens our understanding we have another "rock" upon which the church is built.

Also The Word comes from God by the Holy Spirit as HE shows us what to do as we live on this earth. God simply calls something to our mind and we do that Word.
