Building Your House On The Word Of God: Chapter 5 / Book available at amazon.com

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Confess Your Sins To God … Not to Man

If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9

Confess your sins to God … Only God has power to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Man does not have power to do this.

You can really harm another person by confessing your sins to that other person unless God shows you to do that.

A few years ago, a woman blurted out her sins to me and I still have trouble when I think of this woman.

There was no reason for her to do this. She just began telling me of her past sins. She started by saying, “You have no idea of the evil I have done …”

I was so stunned that I fell right into that trap and she continued telling me her sins which were awful.

It has been very hard for me and has caused me much trouble during the subsequent years. When I see certain women on TV, especially in commercials, I shudder. They remind me of this woman and these women are so ungodly the way they are used on TV, flaunting sex to try to sell various items. But I always think of this woman and how she sold herself with her physical appearance and attracted men and committed adultery and abortion as a result of her success in attracting men to herself. (She had an husband at the time she did these sexual sins.)

So you can do much evil toward that person you tell your sins to and not only can it harm the other person but it does no good for you with God. You just end up adding to your sin by telling them to another human.

If you are supposedly in the church, you should settle all sins with God …

David once said: Against THEE, THEE only, have I sinned, and done this evil in THY sight: Psalm 51:4

And the apostle Paul instructed the church as follows:

Eph. 5 … 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light:for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Certainly there are times we go to people we have hurt and ask those people to forgive us.

But to go to someone and just start telling that person your sins puts a terrible burden on that other person even if that person is a minister.

You should have settled your sins directly with God in prayer and faith.

God is the only one who has power to cleanse you.

I John 2 ... Reading through the Bible

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:hereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.

I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one.

I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning.

I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18 Little children, it is the last time:and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you:but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

When you don't know what to do

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 1:5 ... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

I often read Bible and don't know what a specific part of that scripture means.  I just say to God, "I don't know what this means."  And at some point, God will give me understanding.  It may be immediate or it may be years but in HIS time, God shows me.  I don't go to other people and ask what they think it means.  It would be wrong to handle it this way.  I don't discuss it with other humans.  I ask God.  and wait ...

Here is an example of this:  Paul says ... in the last days ... perilous times will come ... people will come having "a form of godliness" but "denying the power thereof" ... from such turn away.

What does this mean, "denying the power thereof"

One day, I was reading that scripture and God opened my eyes to see what it meant:  (a revelation)

They say they are Christians but when they "deny the power of the scriptures to rule over them" they deny the power of God ...

I gave a Catholic woman this scripture:  Jesus said ... Mt. 23:9 ...And call no man your father upon the earth:for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

She thanked me for the message but remained in Catholic church, calling men "FATHER".

By her actions, she "denied the power of the scripture to rule over her."

Paul says, "from such turn away." ... just withdraw from such a person.

We don't reason the scriptures away.  We just do what the scriptures tell us to do.

By doing the scripture, some listeners will come to God ... others will leave us ... But we uphold the scriptures and save ourselves though faith in Christ, THE WORD, THE SCRIPTURE.

                                                               *****

James 1:5 ... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

When we don't know what to do ... "ask God" ...

It doesn't say, "Ask your husband."

It doesn't say, "Ask your pastor."

The scripture says:  "Ask God."

God might answer you directly.  God might send another person to you to bring the answer.  God might have a woman ask her husband.  God might have you go to a minister.

The important point is:  You asked God first.  God will answer you and give you the information as HE wills.

Learn to make this a way of life ... for it is truly life for us.

Micah 2 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds!
when the morning is light, they practise it,
because it is in the power of their hand.

(They think about the evil they can do when it is morning ... then they do that evil because they have the power to do that evil.)

2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence;
and houses, and take them away:
so they oppress a man and his house,
even a man and his heritage.

3 Therefore thus saith the Lord;

Behold, against this family do I devise an evil,
from which ye shall not remove your necks;
neither shall ye go haughtily:
for this time is evil.

4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you,
and lament with a doleful lamentation,
and say, We be utterly spoiled:
he hath changed the portion of my people:
how hath he removed it from me!
turning away he hath divided our fields.
5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot
in the congregation of the Lord.

6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy:
they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob,
is the spirit of the Lord straitened?
are these his doings?
do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy:
ye pull off the robe with the garment
from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

9 The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses;
from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest:
because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

(They didn't want truth therefore they said, "Prophecy not".  So God will send those to prophesy what they want to hear so they can be destroyed.)

12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee;
I will surely gather the remnant of Israel;
I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah,
as the flock in the midst of their fold:
they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

13 The breaker is come up before them:
they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it:
and their king shall pass before them,
and the Lord on the head of them.

What is “The Lord’s Supper” ?

Hundreds of thousands of people gather at their churches on Sunday mornings and partake of crackers and grape juice calling this "communion" or "The Lord's Supper".

Paul wrote of this in I Cor. 11 … 23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which HE was betrayed took bread: 24 And when HE had given thanks, HE brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of ME. 25 After the same manner also HE took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of ME.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till HE come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

What is "the cup"?

The "cup" Jesus speaks of here is "the New Testament" ...

We judge ourselves by "the New Testament".

If we eat and drink that cup, "the New Testament", unworthily we bring destruction upon ourselves.

Partaking wrongly of "the New Testament" cup causes people to be weak and sickly and many die because of this.

Jesus spells this out for those who will hear ... the cup of the New Testament in HIS blood is the NEW TESTAMENT! (not crackers and grape juice)

My favorite aunt was Church of Christ. When I was a little child we would visit her, 250 miles from where we lived. If it was a weekend, I would go with her to church. I was only 5 or 6 at that time.

Someone must have explained to me that I could not eat the crackers nor drink the grape juice which they always passed around at the end of the Sunday service.

I would watch her carefully to see what she did when they brought the trays. She would be very somber as she broke off a small bit of cracker and put it in her mouth.

Then they brought another tray of purple liquid. She took a small glass and drank the liquid. Again she was very somber.

Years later, when I was 15, I was baptized in Church of Christ. Now I could partake of crackers and grape juice.

But I always dreaded this part of the church service. We were taught we were to “examine” ourselves to see if we were worthy to eat the bit of cracker and to drink the grape juice.

I had no idea how I was to examine myself.

I partook of it but I never felt comfortable doing this and I always dreaded this part of the service.

Years later, God showed me the scriptures in I Cor. 11 and God opened my eyes: The Lord’s supper is not eating crackers and drinking grape juice. The Lord’s supper is partaking of the Word of God itself.

We examine ourselves by the Word of God. We judge ourselves by the Word of God, conforming to that Word, applying that Word in a proper way, making appropriate changes to our lives to conform to the instruction given in the Word of God.

Now it all fit! Crackers/grape juice have nothing to do with the Lord’s supper. Crackers/grape juice have no power at all.

But doing the scriptures has great power!

The Lord’s supper is partaking of the bread of the Word of God and the blood of the New Testament.

John 6 … 31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus said unto them, I (The Word) am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him : and I will raise him up at the last day.

45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of (by) God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of (from) the Father, cometh unto me.

46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 I am that bread of life.

49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

51 I (the Word) am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me (The Word), even he shall live by me.

58 This is that bread which came down from heaven :not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

There is always opportunity to doubt.

I John 1 ... Reading through the Bible

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Must finish the race

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

When a person enters a race, if he fails to cross the finish line he receives nothing.

When we are born again, we enter a race, so to speak.  We are full of excitement over God and things of God.  We anticipate others being this way also.

But along the years, we see people, even church people, bored when we speak of things of God.  We often find they do not want to hear.

We see churches pervert scripture and eliminate scripture.

We expect the world to be wicked but when the churches change scripture and cast aside the pure meaning of the instruction from God in Bible, we are often devastated.

Jesus said, concerning the end times ...  12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  Mt. 24

We must not allow our heart to grow cold for the scriptures.  And we must endure to the end of our own lives on this earth or until Jesus returns for the church and removes us from this earth.

Jesus speaks about this in the following scripture:

Rev. 3 ... 14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:be zealous therefore, and repent.

The sins around us cause the danger for us.  The danger is allowing the word of God to grow weak and dim in our hearts.

I am convinced one key to endurance is to make a practice of daily Bible reading and the reading of godly exhortations.

The reason for my confidence is the following instruction from the Book of Hebrews.

Heb. 10:25 ...   exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Paul told Timothy:   13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. I Tim. 4

Reading Bible and godly exhortations are like throwing logs on a fire that is about to go out.

We also stir up the gift of God that is in us by reading Bible and godly exhortations.

We must not just start the race.  We must cross the finish line.  To become discouraged and drop out will be our destruction.  So we must "endure" to the end says Jesus.

Micah 1 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 The word of the Lord that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

(Hezekiah was before the captivity ...This Micah saw before the captivity.)

2 Hear, all ye people;
hearken, O earth, and all that therein is:
and let the Lord God be witness against you,
the Lord from his holy temple.

3 For, behold, the Lord cometh forth out of his place,
and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

4 And the mountains shall be molten under him,
and the valleys shall be cleft,
as wax before the fire,
and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

5 For the transgression of Jacob is all this,
and for the sins of the house of Israel.

What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria?
and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

6 Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field,
and as plantings of a vineyard:
and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley,
and I will discover the foundations thereof.

7 And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces,
and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire,
and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate:
for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot,
and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

8 Therefore I will wail and howl,
I will go stripped and naked:
I will make a wailing like the dragons,
and mourning as the owls.

9 For her wound is incurable;
for it is come unto Judah;
he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

10 Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all:
in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

11 Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked:
the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel;
he shall receive of you his standing.

12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good:
but evil came down from the Lord unto the gate of Jerusalem.

13 O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast:
she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion:
for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

14 Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath:
the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah:
he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

16 Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children;
enlarge thy baldness as the eagle;
for they are gone into captivity from thee.

 Homosexuals: What the Bible Teaches

The pope of the Catholic church came out with a statement that he knew nothing against homosexuals.

I cried out, “What about the Bible?”

Romans 1 … 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

In the Old Testament, homosexuals are referred to as “sodomites”.

There are many scripture concerning sodomites. And in each scripture, sodomites are condemned by God.

Can a homosexual be saved?

Yes, of course.

But a homosexual would not continue to practice the act of homosexual sex with another man.

Can an adulteress be saved?

Of course.

But what did Jesus say to the woman taken in adultery?

John 8 … Go and sin no more.

She could not continue as a prostitute nor as adulteress after being forgiven her sins and accepted into the body of Christ and given Christ’s spirit.

Heb. 10 … 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses 'law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Concerning the man in the NT church who was committing fornication with his father’s wife, what did Paul command:

I Cor. 5 … 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Paul did not say “pray” for such a one as this nor did Paul say to “counsel” him …

Further Paul instructed …

I Cor. 5 … 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

God judges the world.

We, the church, are to judge the church in these matters.

II Peter 3 ... Reading through the Bible

1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Bow knee to Jesus

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Phil. 2:10-11 ... That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The name of Jesus is THE WORD ...

At THE WORD we fall down, giving up our own way, doing THE WORD ... thus we bow our knee to THE WORD by doing THE WORD.

A man in our little church group filed divorced papers against his wife.  When I heard of this, I called him and asked:  "Was your wife committing fornication?"  He said, "No."

Then I told him the only scriptural reason a man can divorce his wife was if she was committing fornication.

He looked at the scriptures on the subject and withdrew the divorce proceedings.

Mt. 5:32 ... Jesus says ...  32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Mk. 10:11-12 ... Jesus says ...  And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

I Cor. 7:10-11 ...  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:and let not the husband put away his wife.

By withdrawing the divorce proceedings, this man showed Jesus, THE WORD, to be his Lord.

My mother was not born again and did not attend church.

All her life she enjoyed horoscope books.

Before I was born again, I had given her a set of coffee mugs with horoscope designs.  After I was born again, I was at her house and opened cabinet and saw those horoscope mugs.  I got garbage bag and began putting the mugs into bag.  My mother was watching me as I did this.  She became increasingly agitated at what she realized I was about to do.  Then she said, "What are you doing... I want to keep those ... You gave them to me ..."  (I didn't say a word.)  When bag was filled with the mugs, I went directly to garbage dumpster in alley and broke the mugs and threw them into dumpster.  I returned to the house and took Bible and began reading aloud the following to her from Bible.

Deut. 18 ...  9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord:and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. 14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners:but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

After I read this, my mother was silent for a moment ... Then she said:  "I guess we'd better not do that any more."

She bowed her knee to The Word of God ... I'm sure she was born again at that moment.

A woman in our little church group read a scripture to her son.  He replied, "That's so legalistic."

I was greatly troubled over this and I told God:  "I'm greatly troubled over this."

Immediately I was reminded of the following scripture:  Mt. 7:  Jesus says ...  13 Enter ye in at the strait gate:for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

"That's right", I said ... Rejoicing in the Word.

Later the woman's son, told his sister if Laura wanted to divorce him, she would have to pay for it because he didn't want a divorce.  This was exactly in line with the Bible which he had said was so legalistic.  Whether he knew it or not, he bowed his knee to the Word of God, changing from that which he planned and going according to what the Word of God said.

I gave the following scripture to a Catholic woman by email.

Mt. 23:9 ...  Jesus said ... 9 And call no man your father upon the earth:for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

After about 3 weeks, she sent email saying, "Thank you for the message."

But she didn't do the scripture.  She continued to attend Catholic church and continued to call those Catholic men "FATHER".

II Tim. 3 ...  5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:from such turn away.

When a person denies the power of the scripture to rule over himself, turn away from him.

That is what I did concerning the Catholic woman.

Jonah 4 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.

2 And he prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray thee, O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

3 Therefore now, O Lord, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

4 Then said the Lord, Doest thou well to be angry?

5 So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.

6 And the Lord God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.

7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.

8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.

9 And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

10 Then said the Lord, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:

11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Divorce/Remarriage: What the Bible Teaches

Jesus said … Mk. 10 … 2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter. 11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Mt. 5:32 … 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

The apostle Paul said the following is a “commandment of the Lord” for the New Testament church.

I Cor. 7 … 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Romans 7 … 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress : but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

I Cor. 7 … to the NT church … 39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

Churches today have set up another doctrine to replace the Holy Scripture and to explain scripture away and to please people, and to get large numbers of people to attend their church groups … This is antichrist in the churches today as the apostle Paul spoke of in II Thess. 2. Paul said this would happen before Jesus returns.

II Thess 2 … 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(The falling away: Churches were going to “fall away” from scripture.)

Paul explained he knew after his departure, this would happen in the church group.

Acts 20 … 25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Back to II Thess. 2 concerning antichrist in the churches …

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Antichirst is not one man … Antichrist is a spirit in man and that spirit is “anti” Christ, opposing the WORD of God which is Christ.

The doctrine permitting divorce and remarriage and explaining away the Holy Scriptures set forth in the Bible is one of the main movements of antichrist in today’s church groups.

Several years ago, I attended a dinner at a museum group.

The organizers of the dinner had pre-planned seating with name cards at our dinner location.

I was seated next to a man who was wearing around his neck the largest cross I have ever seen.

This man identified himself as retired pastor at Indiana Baptist Church. He began speaking of that church group. He said they had a big problem. There were so many people coming to church there that they couldn’t seat all the people. They had added onto the building and still didn’t have enough room for all the people who attended.

I said to him, “If you would begin sharing what Jesus said … that the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery … about ½ of the people in your congregation would get up and leave you and you would have plenty of room to seat the ones who remained.”

This man was very shocked. I got up and left the dinner immediately. I didn’t stay for the meal.

If you want to build your house on the Word of God, start with these words of Jesus.

Mt. 5:32 … 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

-If a man divorces “a faithful wife” and she marries another man, this man who divorced the “faithful wife” will be the cause of her adultery which she commits if she remarries.

-The divorced woman will commit adultery when she remarries.

-The man who marries the divorced woman will commit adultery

The apostle Paul makes it clear this is a commandment of the Lord for the NT church …

I Cor. 7 … 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:and let not the husband put away his wife.

In our little church group, a man filed suit for divorce against his wife. When I learned this, I called him and asked him if his wife was committing fornication. He said no she had been faithful to him. I explained the only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his wife was if she was committing fornication. He dropped the divorce proceedings.

Do you want to build your house on the Bible? If so, you have to do what the Bible says. You cannot explain away the Bible and do the scripture. Churches try to do this. But it will not work.

The Bible must be more important to us than anything or anyone.

The fulfillment of the scripture was so important to Jesus that HE went to the cross to fulfill the scripture.

Mt. 26 … 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and HE shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. 56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

A woman in our little church group divorced and remarried before she was born again. She was a church goer but was not born again. At that time she wanted to marry her 2nd husband, she and this man went to a Methodist preacher to see if it was alright for her to remarry. The preacher said it was okay for her to remarry.

This woman, now born again, was very bitter when she told this preacher had said she could remarry.

The Holy Spirit said to me, “Wasn’t she committing fornication with the man she planned to marry at the time she went to the preacher?”

So I asked her: “Weren’t you committing fornication with the man you wanted to marry at the time you went to the Methodist preacher to ask if it was alright for you, as a divorced woman, to marry?”

She replied: “Yes”

II Peter 2 ... Reading through the Bible

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.   3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:   10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;  13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time.

Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;  14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Heaven and earth shall be destroyed by God but The Word of the Lord endures forever ... Focus on the Word of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Hebrews 1 ... 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed:but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

By the scriptures in Bible, we know this present heaven and earth will be destroyed in the fire from God.

II Peter 3 ...

God remains forever ... The Word of God endures forever ...

The Word of God should be our first priority daily.  We hold fast to The Word of God.  We cling to the Word of God, doing what HE says to us.

Mt. 7 ... Jesus said ... 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:and great was the fall of it.
