word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and
he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in
ashes.
7 And he (the king) caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh
by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor
beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink
water: 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry
mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and
from the violence that is in their hands.
9 Who can tell if God will
turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish
not?
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and
God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them;
and he did it not.

Building Your House On The Word Of God: Preface & Chapter 1 / Book available at amazon.com

Jesus says:
God speaks through scripture … but God also speaks to us through dreams, through thoughts given by Holy Spirit, through other people who carry a word to us from God, and by angels who can speak through dreams to us and also can shout into our ear words from God like a voice of a trumpet.
All of God’s words are equal in power and strength, whether a scripture or dream. The power is not in how the word is delivered. The power of God is the word itself.
We must live by every word that comes from God.
The purpose of this book is to awaken us to the voice of God, whether it is carried by scripture, by dreams, by another person, by a thought brought directly to our mind, or by an angel.
Our desire should be to build our house on the Word of God ... that house will stand the storms of this life.
Jesus says:
Mt. 7 ... 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Building Your House on the Word of God is a very wise direction to go ... this is the goal of this book.

Many people who are really Christians, born again, people who even have the Spirit of God, do not build their house on the Word of God.
Many Christians take in sayings of this world and even superstitions and quote such to other people and live by these worldly sayings.
This is not a secure way for Christians to go.
The only secure way is to build our house on the Word of God and to refuse old wives tales and worldly sayings when such is not scriptural.
I want to build my house on the Word of God … I want to reject all else …
A woman used to call me every week or so and ask me to go to lunch with her. This woman identified herself as a Christian although I knew she did not have the Spirit of God in her. She was very religious, going to her church weekly.
But she lived by superstitions and often quoted such to me as we drove along the highway. Each time she would say a superstition of man, I would reply, “That’s not in the Bible.”
She replied in anger: “I know that …”
(But she didn’t know that. The church she attended, Catholic, did not encourage the congregation to read the Bible. Some Catholic churches even teach their people they should not read the Bible. They teach that only the priests of the Catholic church are capable of reading Bible.)
II Tim. 3 … 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
I began speaking Bible to this woman and telling what God was doing in my life. I could tell she wanted to make it seem that I was doing that which she saw accomplished but each time she tried to do this I would stop her and say, “No … God showed me to do this.”
I once went to Barnes and Noble book store to see if the following scripture was in the Catholic Bible …
Mt. 23:9, Jesus said … And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Amazingly that verse is in the Catholic Bible!
This woman was out of town but I sent her an email, giving her this scripture and warning her about calling a person in church “Father”.
I didn’t hear anything from her for about 3 weeks. Then I received an email from her “thanking me” for the message.
But I knew she didn’t receive what I said and I knew she rejected the scripture because she continued in the Catholic church and strongly professed herself to be Catholic and I’m sure she continued to call Catholic priests, “Father.”
God gave me the following dream about this woman. She was on an overpass, the kind of walkway over train tracks. She was in the middle of the walk way. I was watching her from below. She began to go down the other side of the overpass and on the way down, she fell. She was lying on the ground. In the background, a church was on fire. Fire was exploding from the roof of the building and out of the windows on both sides. Firemen were rushing to the building to try to put out the fire but there was no way this church building would be saved.
Each time I said to her, “That’s not in the Bible,” I was saying: I want to build my house on that which is in the Bible.

II Peter 1 ... Reading through the Bible
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

When we remember bad things we did in the past

I received an email from a young woman who was troubled about the past. She had read what I had written on blog (Jesus Ministries Exhortations) and she wanted to ask me a question concerning divorce/remarriage.
As I started reading her email, I was praying, asking God to give me wisdom ...
Usually when anyone says to me, "I want to ask you something..." I begin praying, asking God for wisdom ...
I certainly do not want to answer by "my" opinion. Only that which God shares with us will help us.
James 1:5 ...If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
As I was praying while looking at this young woman's email, I was reminded of what the apostle Paul said in Phil. 3 ... (several times while reading I was reminded of the following instruction)
Phil. 3:13-14 ... 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Most of us have memories of things from the past that we wish we hadn't done.
The only way I know to deal with bad memories is to turn immediately to God in prayer asking Him to help me. I don't believe any human is able to remove those bad memories but God has a way to help us with everything.
Do not tell your sins to another human ... not even to a minister. If you tell another person a terrible things you have done, you burden that other person needlessly.
Only God can remove sins.
Only God can heal us.
Talk to God. We have access to God 24/7 ... Lay your trouble out before God in prayer.
Sometimes I will forget to do that! Then I remember and begin to pray. It is almost like I can feel a weight lift from my shoulder when I remember to talk to God about troubling things of the past and how I wish I had done differently.
God is the only one who can help us with such things as this.

If we involve ourselves in this USA presidential election and jump on a bandwagon and hate and fight the other candidate, we have moved back into this world.
Have we forgotten the Bible?
Jn. 18:36 ... Jesus says: My kingdom is not of this world:if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Col. 3 ... 1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
II Peter 3 ... 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
There will never be "righteousness" on this present earth. Paul said ... 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. II Tim. 3
We will never see righteousness on this present earth. It is the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth rightousness. (II Peter 3)
John told us about the new heaven, the new earth, the new Jerusalem ... in the following scripture:
Revelation 21 ... 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write:for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:which is the second death.
I Cor. 6 ... 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you:but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
We who belong to God have another way, a way not like the people of this present world.
We are commissioned by God through the Holy Scriptures to live in peace as we await for Jesus.
You cannot live in peace if you allow yourself to depart from these scriptures and join this world, focused on men of this world and their actions.
I Jn. 5 ... 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
Our hope is in God and remains in God. And we must deliberately focus on things of God, on HIS truths.
I think the current US presidential race is interesting and it excites the flesh for it is very different. But there will be much hatred spread over the coming days.
If I choose to listen to the hatred, I might be caught up in the hatred.
When it is all over, if the one elected is called to my mind by God, I hope to remember to pray according to I Tim. 2.

The Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God in the matter at hand. Romans 8:26-27...26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And HE that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because HE maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Promises from God in Bible ...
II Peter 1 ... According as HIS divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Plus we can pray directly to God and ask for help. And HE will not fail us. Heb. 13:5... 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
James 1:5 … If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
In the midst of the temptation, God makes a way of escape for us ...
I Cor. 10:13 ... There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Jesus said "none" can pluck us out of God's hand when we belong to HIM and follow HIM.
Jn. 10 … My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of MY hand. 29My Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and none is able to pluck them out of MY Father’s hand.
God put HIS laws in our minds and wrote HIS laws on our heart. (new covenant)
Heb. 8 ... For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put MY laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to ME a people: 11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know ME, from the least to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Is it any wonder that Paul said ... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37
I would think it would be helpful to keep these scriptures before us for a while and keep looking at these truths to build ourselves up in the faith.
We might slip a little. But HE will pull us back up, especially when we cling to HIM and hold on to HIS promises and follow HIM.
The above scriptures should help greatly.
I can't stand the idea of the world overcoming me. That is out of order. That should not happen. We must not allow that to happen.

I Peter 5 ... Reading through the Bible

Isaiah 55 ... God says ...
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,
but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
The rain comes down from heaven and waters the earth. That rain accomplishes God's purpose. The rain does not fall and then go back up to heaven. Rain waters the earth.
God taught me to speak the word. Do not focus on the reaction of the person. Focus on the word and the fact that I spoke it to that person. That is my job.
The following scriptures are used by God to keep me going and to keep me speaking the word.
Heb. 3 ... 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Heb. 10 ... 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together (this does not mean to stay in a corrupt, apostate church where the scriptures are omitted or denied but rather to assemble ourselves with other individuals who have the Holy Spirit and want to be ruled by God through the Spirit and the Bible), as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I Cor. 15 ... 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Just keep speaking the truth. Be faithful to God to do the above, exhorting one another in the truth of God. Keep on doing this as long as you live on this earth. Be faithful to God.
Isaiah 55 ...
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:
the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

The Work Must Be Authored By God
Jesus said:
Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in
heaven. 22 Many will say to ME
in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY
name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works? 23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mt. 7:21-22
Many people do all manner of religious works which seem good … but unless God told them to do those works, those works are not good, they are works of their own fleshly minds, often authored by what they hear at church.
Only works authored by the Spirit of God are “good” works.
You can even try to do a scripture and have the work counted by God as evil.
The Spirit of God searches the heart of God to show us the will of God in the various matters of this present life.
I Cor. 13 … 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
I am acquainted with a woman who is an heiress, having very large trust fund and much money … She gives to all manner of organizations. But she is one of the most scornful persons I have ever seen … speaking of how ridiculous others are and always saying, “Can you believe they would do this?” exalting herself.
God said to me this woman is “self-righteous.”
She attends a church but she is not born again.
She would be shocked to know that her many financial gifts will end up profiting her nothing… for she is un-charitable …
Charity is not exactly “love” as some translations of Bible would say. Often young women especially like to think of these scriptures in terms of romantic attachments.
But godly charity has to do with the withholding of various judgments, not exacting all that the evil doer should receive.
God had “charity”, mercy, to me for I was certainly in no way deserving of salvation. I was terrible before I was born again.
Paul says … Romans 9 … 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For HE saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will he hardeneth.
When we set about on a good work, we must have evidence inside us that God authored the work. This evidence of the Holy Spirit speaking telling us to do that work is an anchor for our soul in difficult times which are likely to come for the works sake, persecution for the word …
Concerning good works … one person could visit the sick and it be the right spirit leading him … another person could be led by his own mind because he thinks he must do this and it would avail nothing and might even be harmful to the sick person.
The work must be authored by God and you must be led by the Spirit of God in everything you do.
It is also very important for us to have assurance in us that God told us to do that work.
In January, 1980, I was asleep in the night and a trumpet like voice sounded in my ear saying 3 words to me … “Hartford, Seattle, KWJS …”
This put me on radio on station KWJS. Do I have strong assurance that God wanted me to go on radio? Absolutely.
In March, 2012, I received a dream showing me to start a blog on Internet.
In December, 2015, I had concept of writing book for Kindle. I prayed asking God if that is what HE wanted. By the Holy Spirit, I heard … “I am with you whithersoever you go …” That was good enough for me. I started writing immediately.
Throughout each of the past 30+ years since being born again, I have had assurance of God leading me before I started any work that I felt I was to do.
I have also found when God authors the work there are certain characteristics present:
The work is simple
The money is there for the work … no begging for money
It is not difficult to do the work
There is great joy in going forward
It is not a burden in any way
Everything needed is provided immediately
There is no hardship
Workers are available to me for each step
I receive so many ministers begging me to give them money for their works. There is no example in the Bible of a minister asking for money to do a work that is supposed to be of God. Often these ministers list all kinds of works they have undertaken “in the name of God” and they try to get people to give them money to pay for their “good” works.
What does Jesus say … Mt. 7 … Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.
God did not author that work they speak of as “good”.
Jesus calls that work a work of iniquity though they say it is “good”.
Jesus tells them to “depart from HIM.”
I do not give to ministers who ask for money.
David said: I have been young, and now am old;
yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread. Psalm 37:25
The apostle James says the wisdom that is from God is
first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:17-18
Some ministers are extortioners … using all sorts of pressure techniques, telling you to expect a 100-fold return on your “gift”, stirring up greed and lust in the congregation, appealing to flesh of man as if he is some type of investment broker. This is exceedingly evil.
100-fold return in Bible has nothing at all to do with giving money at church …
Mk. 10 ... Then Peter began to say unto HIM, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
I am shocked at how brazen ministers can be in their pursuit of money from the church.
They are often masters at making church people feel guilty.
Do not allow such to happen to you.
The ministers who do such buy themselves terrible futures either on this present earth or eternally.
I Tim. 5:24 … Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
Some sins get exposed on this earth and precede them to judgment. Other men’s sins are hidden and in secret from us. But all these sins will show up at the day of judgment and there will be great shame then, weeping and gnashing of teeth, and they will really weep when they see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in heaven and themselves cast out for all eternity.
Whether you are a public figure minister or whether you are a private “little” person … you must be very careful about those “good” works you do … those works will be judged by Jesus and be rewarded with great penalty to you or great reward in heaven dependent on whether or not the work was authored by God.
Did God really tell you to do that?
I always examine this over what I do and so should you.

I Peter 4 ... Reading through the Bible
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

By this, I ended up on radio doing daily broadcasts for the church 5 days a week.
I started the broadcasts on KWJS and shortly added stations in Oklahoma City and in Houston. In only a few months, I was on radio from east coast to west coast of USA. ("Hartford, Seattle")
The early messages given by God were very popular among the church groups. (The subjects: Taking Thoughts Captive, Dealing with Destructive Thoughts, Overcoming through Scripture, Following God by HIS Spirit. )
During those months, I traveled to each radio city and had 2-3 day meetings for the radio audience.
Everything was growing.
After one of the meetings in Seattle, I was on a bus going to airport and I heard the following by the Spirit of God. "The foundation is laid. Now we're really going to move."
I was very excited over this word ...
Shortly after this, I had a meeting at a church in Hobbs, NM (USA). Enroute back to Dallas where I lived at that time, the Holy Spirit began speaking to me...

A few days later, God called my attention to sins being committed by Jimmy Swaggart. I tried to get a message to Swaggart but I couldn't get a message to him. So I presented the message on my own radio broadcasts, telling what God showed me and naming by name Jimmy Swaggart.
Hate mail from Swaggart's followers poured in to us ...
KWJS was owned by Jimmy Swaggart at that time. He also owned the Houston station where I was broadcasting. They were among the first stations to put me off the air.
In Seattle, the radio station manager was waiting for me at the door to the convention center where I was having meeting for Seattle radio audience. George had been very friendly to me but this time he was not smiling as I approached him at the meeting room.
George said, "Joan, you have many good messages. Just speak those messages. If you continue to speak these judgment messages, I don't know what is going to happen to you. We might have to put you off the air."
Without any thought whatsoever on my part, the Holy Spirit spoke the following words through me to George.
"If I don't speak the message I believe to be from God then I don't have a message and I may as well be off the air."
I continued to speak that which I believed God wanted spoken and about 1/2 of my stations put me off the air.
Many of my own people left me. It was a very difficult time for me.
Another devastating thing happened to me. I had a dream which was very difficult to see. In the dream, I was looking at an established piece of land. All of a sudden, one entire piece broke off and slid away. Then another went. Then another. Then another. (the sliding away of land was silent) And I heard these words, "It will be alright through January but in February it will break loose."
I was terrified! I warned the church on my radio broadcasts.
February came and went and nothing happened. It looked to people like I was a false prophet. Masses of people left me.
I had no idea what had happened. It wasn't until approximately 2015 that God explained to me what had happened back in 1982.
The dream of the breaking loose was showing masses of people leaving me. The reporting of the dream caused the departure of people from me.
God was delivering me from the evil of the apostate church which would be shown me later in 2016.
I rejoiced when God showed me what HE had done to deliver me from them.
The apostle Paul said: II Tim. 4 ... 16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me:I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear:and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom:to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
God delivered me by HIS plan in 1982. It was very hard for me to go through the type of persecution and rejection I received from church groups at that time.
Today it is no problem to me. I understand what happened and know my deliverance was from God.
I have stayed free from the influence of the apostate churches and am therefore free to speak the messages God wants me to speak concerning the apostate churches.

1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord God concerning Edom;
We have heard a rumour from the Lord,
and an ambassador is sent among the heathen,
Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen:
thou art greatly despised.
3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee,
thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high;
that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
4 Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle,
and though thou set thy nest among the stars,
thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.
5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!)
would they not have stolen till they had enough?
if the grapegatherers came to thee,
would they not leave some grapes?
6 How are the things of Esau searched out!
how are his hidden things sought up!
(Esau is the father of Edom)
7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border:
the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee,
and prevailed against thee;
they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee:
there is none understanding in him.
8 Shall I not in that day, saith the Lord,
even destroy the wise men out of Edom,
and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed,
to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces,
and foreigners entered into his gates,
and cast lots upon Jerusalem,
even thou wast as one of them.
12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger;
neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction;
neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.
13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity;
yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity,
nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;
14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape;
neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Tim. 3)
My father and mother were not Christians.
I visited them in the early 80’s and when I opened the cabinet in kitchen, I noticed some Zodiac coffee mugs.
I had given these to my mother before I was born again.
My mother greatly admired horoscopes.
When I was a child we would go into town and each month she would buy the latest horoscope magazine and read my horoscope to me.
Without saying a word, I reached into cabinet and began removing these horoscope mugs. My mother was sitting there watching me.
I began putting the mugs into a paper bag.
My mother then began to talk, saying: “What are you doing …” (I said nothing. I just continued putting the mugs into that bag.)
My mother became more agitated and said, “NO! … I want to keep those … you gave those to me.”
I said not a word.
I opened door and went to alley and took the bag and beat it against the dumpster and threw the broken mugs into the garbage and returned to the house.
Without a word, I picked up my Bible and began reading the following aloud to my mother.
Deuteronomy 18 … 9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. 14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
After I read this part of Bible, there was silence for a few seconds, then my mother said:
“I guess we’d better not do that any more.”
With that, my mother was completely changed instantly.
I believe she was born again when she agreed from her heart with the Bible and agreed for God to rule her way.
Later I received a letter from my uncle. He said, “Your mother has changed … She has really changed.”
That is exactly what happens when we are born again. We are a new creature.
II Cor. 5:17 … Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
A few months later when I saw my mother she said to me, “I want to have a faith like you have.”
My dad was a very strong self-made man, a very excellent physical specimen. He didn’t drink or smoke.
He said to my mother, “Joan has gone off the deep end in this religion.”
My dad had always supported me before in all things and my mother had fought me in what I did.
Now it switched and my mother replied: “No … she’s okay.”
My dad said no more about it. He was a soft spoken type man.
When he was 78-years-old he had a stroke and was partially paralyzed. I gave him sets of cassette tapes I had made for radio broadcasts.
My mother said my dad listened to these tapes continually.
He wrote to me at that time (he never wrote letters before this).
In his letter, he said, “Come see me … and we will go to church.”
I knew he had been born again.
I was given a dream from God that I baptized my dad.
Later I knew this baptism was a baptism of the Word of God which he had been listening to on those cassette tapes of the radio broadcasts I had made which he had been hearing. He died after that.
Both my dad and my mother were born again before they died.
