Romans 12:1-2   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This world speaks and approves one thing while God speaks exactly the opposite by HIS Word.

By the New Testament Bible, we know that which God approves.

Consider this:  What does the Bible say?

And when we think something, ask yourself:  Where is that in the Bible?

II Timothy 3:16-17  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

As a new Christian, my friend, also a new Christian, and I tried to find in the Bible where it says all men are created equal.

We couldn't find that in the Bible.

So we went to a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary and asked, "Where is it in the Bible where it says all men are created equal?"

He replied, "That's not in the Bible."

We were very shocked!

Sayings of this world:

"You'll never get out of this world alive."

* I Corinthians 15:51-52   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

* Matthew 24:35  Jesus says:  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

Pastor said, "I see no problem with a divorced woman remarrying.  My sister is divorced and remarried."

Bible says:

Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

- Man who divorces a faithful wife, will be the cause of that faithful wife's adultery if she remarries.

- Man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Romans 7:3   So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

After I was born again, all these problems started.  My best friend said, "Joanie, you shouldn't be having all these problems now that you are a Christian."

After I was born again, I asked my friend, a Baptist, "What do we do now?"  

She replied, "Nothing."

What the Bible says:  Revelation 22:14  Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Doctrine of "once saved always saved."

Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before his angels.

After she was born again, Pam Padgett began trying to find in the Bible doctrines which she had been taught in the Catholic church.

She kept thinking, "I'm sure this must be in the Bible because they taught it in the Catholic church!"

But she found doctrines which she had learned in the Catholic church that were not in the Bible.

(The generation which sees this begin will see it end.)

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (excessive overindulgence; intemperate or immoderate indulgence of something), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

(Sometimes people get so comfortable they forget this will all end and is as a vapor.)

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

(Watch yourself ... watch that which you are doing ...)

37 And in the day time He was teaching in the temple; and at night He went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

38 And all the people came early in the morning to Him in the temple, for to hear Him.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Some of the instruments God uses to bring destruction to disobedient church people

For those people in church groups who love the form of godliness but do not love the actual Word of God, God prepares HIS instruments of destruction.

God can use evil angels to lead those people in ways of destruction:

Psalm 78:49  HE cast upon them the fierceness of HIS anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

These evil angels carry messages which seem to be from God but are not from God.

Paul spoke of this in the following:

Galatians 1:8-9  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

A divorced woman came to a non-denominational church group and pretended to be a regular single woman.  She was looking for an husband.  And she ignored scriptures concerning divorce and remarriage.

I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

Romans 7:1-3   Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

I believe God shows me this woman (who is no longer living) brought destruction upon herself and the man who married her who committed adultery by marrying this divorced woman.

Matthew 5:32   Jesus said:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

We have an example in Bible of God using "a lying spirit" to destroy king Ahab.

I Kings 22

20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.

22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?

And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. 

And HE (God) said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

This lying spirit told king Ahab to go up and fight against the enemy and when he did this Ahab was killed in the battle.
 
God brings "a strong delusion" upon people who will not love the truth.

II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

You cannot reason with a deluded person.  No matter how much evidence you present, that deluded person will cling to his delusion.

(Man trusts other men to rule over men but they do not trust God to rule over the man.)

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; He will say, Why then believed ye him not?
But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

25 And He said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

26 And they could not take hold of His words before the people: and they marvelled at His answer, and held their peace.

27 Then came to Him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked Him,
28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
32 Last of all the woman died also.
33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

(This was a trick question and they thought they had Jesus in a trap, as they attempted, in their own wisdom, to prove there could not be a resurrection of the dead.)

34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

(Some people today, even Christians, think they will rejoin their dead husband or dead wife in heaven and set up housekeeping in heaven.)

37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

38 For HE is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto Him.

39 Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

40 And after that they durst not ask Him any question at all.

41 And He said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

In the days before God destroyed Sodom, the sins were open and widespread in every part of the city.

Abraham's nephew, Lot, was continually troubled by that which they said and that which they did in Sodom.

Genesis 19  God sends 2 angels to destroy Sodom.

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

(Angels do not have wings.  Angels look like natural men.)

2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:


5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (have sex with them)

6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

(Lot knew that which the men of Sodom planned in their hearts to do was wicked.)

II Peter 2

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

And why did Lot choose to live in Sodom where there was so much wickedness?

Genesis 13

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

(The beauty of Sodom attracted Lot to Sodom.  Beauty often attracts the flesh to itself and great evil often dwells in beauty.)

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

As Sodom was destroyed because of the wicked, this present world is going to be destroyed by God.  (II Peter 3:10-14)

Jesus said:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  (Matthew 24:12-13)

You may think you can lead them to God but they will lead you away from ways of God.

God has HIS way to deliver you but you might be ignoring God's way thinking you can help the ungodly.

You must rethink what you are doing if this is the case.

For if you are in "Sodom" when it is destroyed, you will be destroyed with Sodom.

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

And he sought to see Jesus who He was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see Him: for HE was to pass that way.

(He made an effort to see Jesus ... he got himself into a position to see.)

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

And he made haste, and came down, and received Him joyfully.

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

11 And as they heard these things, He added and spake a parable, because He was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

28 And when He had thus spoken, He went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

29 And it came to pass, when He was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, 30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as He had said unto them.

(The Word comes to pass as HE said ... That is what happens concerning The Word.)

33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

36 And as He went, they spread their clothes in the way.

37 And when He was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

40 And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

41 And when He was come near, He beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

(The above is yet to come.  The destruction of Jerusalem.)

45 And He went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

47 And He taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy Him,
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.
