Recently I broke the earpiece on my prescription reading glasses. I really need them for reading.
I have an eye doctor appointment the 12th of this month and decided that rather than taking them to the optical store and getting them repaired that I would just do without them until my doctor appointment when I will get a prescription for new glasses.
Almost everything I read is done on an iPad or iPhone and even though I can make words larger print on these devices, I found I was still having difficulty reading at times.
I have worn reading glasses for years and I don’t throw them away when I get new ones but keep them in a drawer in my bedroom so I have collected quite a few of them from past years.
Last night I was reading the blog and having a little problem with fuzzy words when the thought came to me to use one of my older pairs of glasses until I get new ones.
(God sends thoughts to us to help us.)
So I picked out and tried on a couple pairs and one of them worked quite well for me.
It is easier for me now because I have less eye strain. But I don’t think this was “my” thought, “my” wisdom, but I believe God gave me this idea through the Holy Spirit.
(The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth. John 14:26 & John 16:13)
This helps me in this situation and God helps us in all things when we need it. So I thank God for this idea.
