πŸ’₯ Bible tells us to pray for our rulers that we may live in peace.

1 Timothy 2

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

I am very non-political.  I do not vote for men.

But I do pray for men who are rulers.

πŸ’₯  Donald Trump:  I prayed that he would not drop a nuclear bomb during his time in office.

πŸ’₯  Joseph Biden: I prayed that he would not lead USA into a war with Russia over Ukraine.

Also when I see Mr. Biden on TV, I often ask God to help him to walk, for he looks so physically shaky and with all the pressure on him and being 79-years-old, he looks like he might collapse physically at any time.  (He is the oldest person to ever be sworn in as president.)

And when I see Mr. Biden on TV, I often say, "Poor thing"!

Since becoming President he has had to deal with so many things:

* Coronavirus
* Trump
* Baby formula shortages
* Prices of fuel, food, gas and other things
* World problems, such as Russia/Ukraine
* His own political polls and falling approval ratings
* Numerous mass shootings in USA
* Plagues: intense heat

Revelation 16

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM (God) glory.

As Christians, our hope is not in this present world nor in government of men.

Our hope is in God and we work to live in peace, without spot and blameless as we wait for the return of Jesus.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

(This present earth will never be righteous.)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To HIM be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Jesus will gather us to HIMSELF and take us to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Matthew 24:29-31  Jesus says:

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

In the meantime, one of the most important things we can do to live in peace is to pray immediately, the second something concerns us!

On today's national TV news, the announcer said something that concerned me.  Even as that TV announcer spoke, I prayed, "God ... please don't let this happen!"

Instantly after praying this, I was at complete peace on the issue.

The apostle Paul says to us:

Philippians 6:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
