The apostle Paul said:
Philippians 4
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Today I was lying in my bed and I began thinking of various scriptures which I know and love.
π₯ God will never fail us nor forsake us. Joshua 1 & Hebrews 13:5
π₯ No weapon formed against us will prosper. Isaiah 54:17
π₯ Jesus will be with us even unto the end of this world. Matthew 28:20
π₯ God will supply all our need. Philippians 4:19
π₯π₯π₯
I thought of how Peter told us that by the promises given us by God we escape the lusts of the world.
2 Peter 1
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

I thought of the simple help God gives us which we have printed in our blog as reminders to us of how God is always with us and helps us.
π₯ Pam Padgett's story of how she needed lemon to cook the salmon she had just bought and she had no lemon in her refrigerator but she was certain she had just bought lemon and she prayed and God reminded her of her pantry. She looked in her pantry, and there were 2 lemons! (Apparently misplaced for she didn't keep lemons in her pantry.)
π₯ Barbara Preston's recent story of breaking one of her eye glass ear pieces and how God reminded her to use one of her old reading glasses until her doctor's appointment this month where she can order new glasses.
In all things, God is a constant presence and help to us.

π₯ I thought of the animals which God has put on this earth for us to enjoy and how much I do enjoy them.
We live in Colorado Springs at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Wild animals sometimes visit us as they search for food.
This week a family of raccoons came into our garage through the dog door. Pam had been keeping food supplies in the garage from the weekly Walmart deliveries. The raccoons made a feast out of some of the cartons of cereals and didn't bother to put the empty cartons back onto the shelves.
The next morning when Pam went into the garage she said, "What happened?" (Then she realized we had been visited in the night by raccoons which have paws which make such food supplies available to themselves.) Pam moved the cartons of food to kitchen. Then she shut the dog door at night before she went to bed.
The next morning, she opened the door that is attached to the garage for Gus and Gracie to get out to the back yard.
Gus ran as fast as he could to the dog door that is usually open and hit the top of his head on the insert that was now in place and then he sat back and just shook his head! "WHAT HAPPENED?"
Gus is a big black shaggy dog who loves to go full speed, when possible, toward rabbits and squirrels and deer while barking with his very powerful voice!

π₯ Another delight are the afternoon showers which often come to us on summer afternoons.
We are close enough to the mountains that this is a frequent occurrence. It is such a delight from God. Another little treat!
π₯π₯π₯
π₯ And I thought of the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness which God has prepared for us when HE removes us from this present earth.
Revelation 21
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
π₯π₯π₯
π₯ When we are taken into heaven we will no longer have these physical bodies as we have today! We will be given new spiritual bodies. So we will no longer have physical pain!
I Corinthians 15
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(We will be changed in the blink of an eye into our new spiritual bodies where we will have no pain! Blink: That is how fast we will be changed.)
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
π₯π₯π₯
So think on these things! And live in peace and joy as you wait for the coming of Jesus and our removal from this present earth and the change to our new spiritual bodies where there is no pain and no disease and no decay of the flesh for there will be no flesh!
John says:
I John 5
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know HIM that is true, and we are in HIM that is true, even in HIS Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Paul says: "If there is anything lovely or of good report, think on these things."
And live in peace and joy through the knowledge of God by the Word of God!
