The apostle Peter warns us:
2 Peter 3
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To HIM be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

π₯ The fires threatening the giant Sequoias (redwood trees) in California:
As I heard this recent story, I thought of how in the end this heaven and earth will pass away, so the loss of these trees in California will not matter even if it happens. It is is not something to fret over. For God is going to destroy everything we can now see with our natural eyes in the end.
π₯ Every man will be judged by God for that which he does or does not do on this present earth.
Therefore:
Psalm 37
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.
