πŸ’₯ God's view of nations of this world

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

Listening to one of the Uvalde Series podcasts last night, Joan said when we see something through the eyes of God, we see things differently.

Sometimes when we hear worldly people speak, the way they speak about things on this earth can make these things seem so important and impressive and powerful.

People are generally proud of the country in which they live and sometimes speak of it in glowing terms. Concerning the USA, we have heard all our lives about the great weapons of war this country has and boasting about its military and the great wealth found here and even say it is the best country on earth. And patriotism is encouraged, having a sense of love and attachment toward it.

It can all sound so wonderful and we can get caught up, ourselves, if we allow ourselves to become carried away with it. I know there have been times that this has happened to me and probably to some others too.

But what does God say about these nations of the world?

It’s always an eye opener to me when I read it and very different from how most humans view it.

I was reminded of this scripture the other day which lets us see this through God’s eyes.

Isaiah 40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, HE taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 ALL nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him as LESS THAN NOTHING, and vanity.

And, in the end, all these things that people love and cherish on this earth will be destroyed by God and be replaced by a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3)

Also John reminds us:

I John 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
