πŸ’₯ Scriptures:

Matthew 24:1  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

The disciples were showing pride in how wonderful these things were.  Jesus was showing them that all things they could see with their natural eyes would be destroyed at the end.

Luke 21:20-22  (Jesus says)  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

When we see leaves fall from the trees, we know winter is coming next.

When we see armies surround Jerusalem and missiles flying toward Israel, we know by the Bible, Luke 21:20-22, what comes next.

And though we don't know the exact date Jesus returns to gather the elect, these current events show us the nearness of the time.

The apostle Peter told us how we should live in such time.

2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(JB) I often pray over myself, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right Spirit within me."  Psalm 51:10

And the following scripture is a strong light to my way at this point in time:

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

- peace & edification in things that cause us to have faith in God!

John 6:63  (Jesus says) It is the spirit that quickeneth (makes us alive); the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The Holy Spirit who lives in us brings us the Word and when we think on That Word, we move into "life" and have light of God.

Have you ever noticed how dead most conversations are that we have with other people? just telling about themselves and their current projects without reference at all to God or anything God has told them to do.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

(The world does fleshly things when they are bored or begin to be sorrowful but our weapons are mighty for we turn to God and ask God for help and God helps us.)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Proverbs 30:5  Every word of God is pure; HE is a shield unto them that put their trust in HIM.

(We deliberately put our trust in God by calling on God for help!)

***

John 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.

We think on that which God has done when we see the sun, the moon, the stars, the winds, the rain, the snow.  And we rejoice in that which God has created!

John 6:19-20  So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

20 But HE saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink HIS blood, ye have no life in you.

(We eat the flesh of Jesus as we digest the Word, making the Word our own by doing verses of scripture.  And we drink the blood of Jesus as we consider the Word and doing the instruction of the Word.)

54 Whoso eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 For MY flesh is meat indeed, and MY blood is drink indeed.

56 He that eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, dwelleth in MY, and I in HIM.

57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by ME.

58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

(We eat the Word of God and drink the Word of God. Making the Word of God a part of us by doing that Word in our daily lives on this present earth.)

Matthew 14

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw HIM walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be THOU, bid me come unto THEE on the water.

29 And HE said, Come

And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth HIS hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Peter walked on water at the Word of Jesus until Peter looked at the waves and then he began to sink.  As long as we keep "the Word" given us by Jesus in front of us we, too, walk above the circumstances.  But when we view the circumstances and focus on them, we, too, sink.  It is the Word that keeps us from perishing.

Philippians 4:11-13  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

(We also can do all things through that Word given us from above.)

Proverbs 16:3  Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

We pray over our projects and rest in the understanding and faith that God will show us what to do and when God shows us we do that.

James 1:18-20  Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Share scripture by the Holy Spirit of God asking God what HE would have you share. Then when God brings a scripture to mind, we think on that scripture and edify ourself by that scripture and then share that with others.  (The husbandman must first be partaker of the fruit)  When we share what God gives us we edify the church.
