πŸ’₯ What does the NT scripture say about "anger"? (and wrath)

- anger: a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility.

- wrath: extreme anger.

There is a "wrath of God" ... and a "wrath of man"

James 1:20       For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

We can do much harm if we speak by the wrong spirit.

Col. 3:21    Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

***

Col. 3:8   But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

***

Eph. 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

***

Eph. 4:26   Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

***

Romans 12:19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

***

Romans 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

***

Revelation 12:12  ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

***

John 3:36   He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

***

Romans 13:4    For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

***
God sends HIS wrath upon those who do evil on this earth.

Revelation 11:18  And the nations were angry, and THY wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

We must learn to control ourselves through prayer uprooting the evil we have let in us by repeated words and acts, drawing healing from God, and change by obedience to the scriptures.

The great tribulation from God comes upon us if we fail to deal with ourselves.

James 1

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit
(to judge their needs) the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
