Strengthing our faith to pray

Romans 8:26-27    Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:34 It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore HE (Jesus) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing HE ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Comments by Joan Boney:

As we read the above scriptures, we strengthen our faith to pray.

I John 5:14-15    And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:

And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.

Do we have the assurance that what we are wanting is the will of God for us?

If it is the will of God, then we can know God will hear us as we pray and it will be done for us.

The apostle Paul says:

Philippians 4:6-7    Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Pray over every concern.  No matter what it is, pray over it.

In late July, 2019, we were searching for a realtor to handle the house we have for-sale in Texas.  A man was recommended to us and we contacted him.  Pam Padgett is handling this and she especially liked Joe.

As I considered this, thoughts came saying Joe would decide he didn't want to handle the property. (That thought was probably sent by devil.)

I had just typed the above verse of instruction in Philippians telling us to pray over "everything".  So I stopped and prayed.  "THY will be done."

(This was given me by Holy Spirit as I started to pray so I prayed it.   Doesn't this extinguish that thought from devil saying the man wouldn't want to represent this property?  For if it is the will of God the realtor will want the property.  If it is not the will of God, realtor will depart from us.  Either way, God is in charge and we win.)

Each time the will of God is done, the very best possible thing happens for us.

Psalm 84:11     For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Nothing is hidden from God.  If there is a reason for this man to not to be our realtor, God will stop it and shield us.  God is also a sun to us, leading us in what to do.

If it is good for us, that is what will happen.

This type of faith stabilizes us.  So think on these things.

We should not carry fears around in our hearts!

Psalm 111:5    Blessed is the man whose strength is in THEE;

Each  of these scriptures strengthen us to be able to pray and comfort our hearts concerning the outcome of the situation.

With God there is no shadow of turning.

James 1:17    Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

That which God says, HE will do.

"no variableness" ... There is no likeliness of God turning from what He says!  HE will do it.  God does not change HIS mind once HE promises us something.  It will be done.  With God there is not even a shadow of turning, not even a hint of turning.  If there is a doubt in our minds, that is from devil or our own flesh.  We build our faith and foundation to pray as we meditate on the scripture presented in this writing and follow the instructions of these verses from Bible.

Our flesh will vary.  The devil will speak of turning.  But God will not turn away from that which HE says to us.

Numbers 23:19   God is not a man, that HE should lie; neither the son of man, that HE should repent: hath HE said, and shall HE not do it? or hath HE spoken, and shall HE not make it good?

Example:

Genesis 18

God sent HIS angel to deliver a message to Abraham as follows.

v. 10    And HE said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

This was "certain" to happen.  This would "absolutely" happen.

The current circumstances would not be a factor.  In this case, Abraham was 100-years-old and Sarah was 99.  It didn't matter.  It was the will of God for this to happen.

The angel of God asked the following.

Is any thing too hard for the Lord?   (Genesis 18:14)

If it is the will of God, that which we pray will happen.
