* Savour: To one we are like death while to another we are life.

Joan Boney … apostle/prophet

When you see the words "apostle/prophet" this identifies to you the calling of God on the life of the minister appointed by God to edify the church.  An apostle deals with scripture and doctrine.  A prophet will work to prepare you for the return of Jesus, presenting scripture and concepts by the will of God to meet your specific needs today for it is God who knows "that word" you need this exact day.  God knows you are reading this and before time God puts into the heart of HIS prophet exactly what to write this day to meet your need so as you read you would look for that.  Joan Boney

To the church:

II Corinthians 2:14-17    Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of HIS knowledge by us in every place.

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

savour:  taste/odor

To one person we will taste and smell like death.  That is because they are following the wrong spirit and wrong desires of the flesh.  They do not like to be reminded of the truth and we smell like that truth.  So they want to avoid us lest we become a mirror whereby they see themselves as they really are.

But to another, who cherishes God and things of God, we are life.

It depends upon that which they are doing.

Nevertheless we speak as God wills.

Isaiah 55:1-13   Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and HE will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for HE will abundantly pardon.

For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:   So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Joy and peace are two main characteristics of God as HE leads us.

Devils and our flesh would lead us by fear.  So when you are afraid, look for such.

If you think you have to do something, rather than wanting to do something, then the wrong spirit is leading you.  Stop and pray.

Psalm 51:10   Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Joshua 24:1-15    And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.

I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out.  And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and ye came unto the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen unto the Red sea.

And when they cried unto the Lord, HE put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season.

And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.

Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you:  But I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand.

And you went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.

And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.
And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

(They didn't work for anything.  God gave them everything!)

Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve HIM in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Matthew 6:19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Matthew 6:33   But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

"His righteousness" … asking yourself … "What is right in the sight of God in this matter?" and doing that.

As we do the will of God … Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:
