Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Matthew 24:12-13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

There was a woman in our little church group who started out with great love toward me and desire toward the Word of God. This continued for about 20 years. But then it began changing and I warned her when I saw the change happening.
The excitement she had for things of God began to go cold. She admitted to me that she was rushing through the scriptures when she read because she wanted to get to something more exciting and something more interesting.
She certainly seemed to have the Holy Spirit at the beginning ... but she began following another spirit and there were specific times she would tell me that she "thought of that" but she chose to go another way, rejecting the way shown her by the Holy Spirit and going in the way of her own fleshly preference or the way of devil.
This happened several times. Each time I saw this, I warned her.
One thing I saw was a "deadness" concerning the church. I warned her. I told her she cared for her family but not for the church. She greatly fought me over this, saying it wasn't true.
But she finally showed what was true by her actions.
She wrote to us an exhortation about controlling her tongue where her husband was concerned. It was a victory.
But two or three days after sharing this with us, she railed out vehemently against me.
Her fruits showed the truth. She cared enough about her husband to control her tongue. But she did not care about me (the church) and she allowed her own tongue to rail out against me.
She cared about her own family, but not about the church.
But she wasn't always this way.
This should be taken as a warning by us. We can start out on fire for things of God and end up cold and dead.
Remember what Jesus said:
Matthew 24:12-13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

There are times I start reading the Bible or blog and feel myself rushing through the scriptures. When I catch myself doing this, I try to stop reading and start praying. For I know I am wrongly partaking of the scriptures when I do this. (wrongly eating the Lord's supper)
Jesus says:
Revelation 2:1-5 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for MY name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

When we feel ourselves going cold for things of God, we can pray, pleading with God, as David did.
Psalm 51:10-12 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from THY presence; and take not THY Holy Spirit from me.
Cast me not away from THY presence; and take not THY Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of THY salvation; and uphold me with THY free spirit.

We must work to hold onto our salvation, especially in times of danger.
Heed the warning of the Bible.
II Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We've already seen church groups change scripture allowing antichrist, the man of lawlessness, to come into the church and rule over the church.
We've seen individuals turn from the Holy Spirit and go another way, going cold toward the scriptures and even showing hatred for the people of God.
Devils and the flesh of man side together against God.

I Peter 5:6-9 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that HE may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for HE careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith

Jesus says to us:
Luke 21:34-36 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Watch yourselves ... pray always over all things, seeking help from God, especially in times of strife and trouble. Be alert, sober (clear minded) ... continually vigilant (watchful) ... noticing the smallest prick from a "thorn" of this life, praying, seeking God's help ... not allowing things to build up into mountains. Deal with each problem, through prayer, at the time of the problem.
Doing the following instruction:
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Heed these warnings ... Do these things ... Endure to the end through keeping your faith in God and doing those things to keep yourselves straight in the way of God by HIS Spirit.
