called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a
railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to

Or do you do this: Matthew 18:15-17 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

In June, 2024, God showed me that a woman in our little church group "railed" against me. God called to my attention the scripture where Paul told us to put such a "brother" (or sister) away from us when a Christian does this. Immediately I did what Paul said in I Corinthians 5:11;13.
God dictated to me, word for word, a letter to this woman which I published on our Podcast along with a written transcript of what God gave me to send to her.

Later I told this to a man who asked me how I knew which scripture to do in the case of this woman. I told him, I heard from the Holy Spirit to do I Corinthians 5:11 and so I did that scripture.
(as I hear from God, I judge what to do)
John 5:30 (Jesus said) I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
In dealing with matters, I depend on the Holy Spirit, and as HE speaks to my mind a scripture, I do that scripture.
This is how God taught me to deal with issues.
The Holy Spirit is in me. (I Cor. 3:16) I follow what HE shows me by bringing to my mind scripture.
That work of the Holy Spirit: Jesus says ...
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
God also showed me the example of Miriam when she & Aaron spoke against Moses and God had Moses to put her out of the camp 7 days. (Numbers 12)
I put her out of our church group. I even cautioned our church group about continuing to communicate with this woman. (Numbers 16)
Then one day, I knew I could receive this woman back into our church group. I took a calendar and found 7 days had passed!
I sent her an e-mail telling her she was free to return if she chose to do so and could resume sending scripture to our group and come to our meeting scheduled for July 22-25, 2024.
I called her and spoke by phone with her and she told me that same morning she had begged God to help her. I do not believe she will do "railing" again.
When we follow God and do things the way God instructs it works.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are HIS, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto HIM: even him whom HE hath chosen will HE cause to come near unto HIM.

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
