πŸ’₯ The Word of God is great treasure to us

Pam Padgett, member of the body of Christ

Psalm 119:162  I rejoice at THY word, as one that findeth great spoil (treasure).

When we are given God's word to us on a matter, we rejoice for there is nothing more precious than having God's perfect direction and judgment. HIS Word is the right and best way and will never fail.

I am reminded of how the wise men came from the east to worship Jesus when HE was born.

Matthew 2:1-2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is HE that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen HIS star in the east, and are come to worship HIM.

Herod was troubled when he heard this and asked the wise men when the star appeared. (Herod also tried to trick them into telling him where Jesus was when they found HIM, but by a dream God led them another way.)

After Herod talked with them, we are told how the wise men greatly rejoiced when they again saw the star which caused them to come to Jerusalem and now led them to exactly where Jesus was in Bethlehem.

Matthew 2:9-10  When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

God leads us in the way we are to go as well, and we rejoice as we see HIM lead us each step of the way. We may be led by a word given directly to us by the Holy Spirit, by a dream, by a scripture, by a vision ... however God chooses.

Regardless of how God chooses to give us HIS Word, it is great treasure to us, leading us in the way to go to accomplish HIS purpose in our lives.
