In the New Testament church, the Word of God comes down to each believer from "above", from God.  In the Old Testament the prophets were appointed by God to hear from God HIMSELF. But today God speaks to each of us who believe in HIM.

Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, WHOM HE hath appointed heir of all things, BY WHOM also HE made the worlds;

After we believe the Word from God, we are sealed with HIS Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints (the church) which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

(Christ loved the church and died for the church. We love the church also and lay down our own lives for the church as HE did.)

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as HE hath chosen us in HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before HIM in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of HIS will,

6 To the praise of the glory of HIS grace, wherein HE hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In WHOM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;

8 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS good pleasure which HE hath purposed in Himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times HE might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in HIM:

11 In WHOM also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

The Holy Spirit: teaches us all things; reminds us of all Jesus has said; guides us into all truth; shows us things to come.  (John 14:26 & John 16:13)

As many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  (Romans 8:14)

1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself (to speak vainglorious of one's achievements; to boast), is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth:

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Isaiah 43:25

I, even I, am HE that blotteth out thy transgressions for MINE OWN sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Psalms 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

GOD made the day and everything in it. I have been unable to fathom how one can look at the bounties of nature and no see the PRESENCE of GOD. I see our bodies in the same manner.....In my education as a nurse, I was amazed how our bodies are designed and function.......I kept thinking this is miraculous. GOD made us.....each cell.....each organ......each breath....a living being patterned after HIM.....I am rejoicing.

Luke 11

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

When I read Pam’s account of hearing the word “thyroid” from God when she prayed about a physical problem, I remembered a time when I was similarly helped with a physical issue by words God brought to me.

My right arm, especially by the elbow, had become very sore and weak. I could barely use it. Even simple things like brushing teeth or vacuuming were difficult trying to use the other arm. I prayed for help and guidance, did I need to see a doctor about it?

 At one point “ torn ligament” came into my mind. I knew nothing about this subject, and when I looked it up online, mostly it seemed to be saying that these type of things would heal on their own. So I didn’t go to a doctor, and the arm began to get progressively better, and finally totally back to normal. I was grateful for that information.

Joshua 1

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Note - For success in life, meditate in The Word God gives by The Spirit of God.
