πŸ’₯ Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Romans 14:19

Comments by Joan Boney:

The day Mr. Trump met with the president of Ukraine at the White House, I happened on the live TV conference on TV news.  Terrible hostility was taking place.  Quickly, I turned the TV off, knowing God didn't want me to be involved.  (But my flesh wanted to know what was happening.  I'd never seen such hostility before on live TV.)

But I yielded to the Spirit of God and did not watch or listen.  (Still I wanted to hear.)

Later a caption came on TV saying all Ukrainians were ordered to leave the grounds of the White House.  (now I wanted to hear even more)

Pam Padgett was in my room at the time and reached down to my tables and took both of my TV remotes, removing both TV remotes from my room!  (I laughed and thanked her.)

The next day when Pam returned the TV remotes, I still had a desire to see what happened.

πŸ’₯  Instead, I reached down for my Kindle Tablet and pressed the play button and began listening to our recording of Proverbs 16.

1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.

3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

4 The LORD hath made all things for Himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand,
he shall not be unpunished.

6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged:
and by the fear of the LORD
(fear of the Word) men depart from evil.

Because I care what God thinks about that which I do and I know God will lead me in the best way for me to go in this life, I did not listen to see what happened in the strife at the USA White House.  It would only be evil and disturb me to see this.

Psalm 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do HIS commandments: HIS praise endureth for ever.

(There is a continual fight to hold onto the way of God and to endure.)

I just kept listening to the recording of Proverbs 16.

By the time I finished hearing this recording of Proverbs, I was settled down again.  My flesh was controlled by these scriptures and my way was of God again and I avoided the curiosity of my own flesh!  And overcame through choosing God, the Word!

Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before HIS angels.

(We have to work to overcome our own flesh as we live on this earth.)
