πŸ’₯ Doctrine from the Bible: Divorce/Remarriage

πŸ’₯   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

***

 πŸ’₯  Matthew 19:9  Jesus says:

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

***

πŸ’₯  Luke 16:18

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

***

πŸ’₯  Matthew 5:27-28   Jesus says:

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

πŸ’₯  Mark 10:11-12  Jesus says:

And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

πŸ’₯  I Corinthians 7:10-11

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

πŸ’₯  I Corinthians 7:39

The wife is bound by the law (of God)   as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

There is a Law of Moses in the Old Testament but this is speaking of the Law of God as written for the church of the New Testament.

πŸ’₯  Romans 7:2-3

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

The above scriptures show us the NT rules for divorce & remarriage:

*  If a man divorce his wife for any reason other than being sexually unfaithful, he will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries,  Mt. 5:32

* If a woman remarries after divorce while her husband is still living, she commits adultery.  Mt. 5:32

* If a man marries a divorced woman, he commits adultery.  Mt. 5:32

*  If a married woman leaves her husband, she must remain unmarried or return to her husband.  I Cor. 7:10-22

*  A woman may remarry if her husband dies but she must marry "only in the Lord" ... to another Christian.  I Cor. 7:39

These are the doctrines of Christ shown in the Bible for the New Testament Church.

Sadly churches today have fallen away from these commandments of the Bible and are antichrist, opposite to Christ, the Word.

But the falling away from the Bible does not change the laws of God concerning divorce/remarriage and in the day of judgement it is the Word written in the Bible that will be observed.
