Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In Matthew 25, Jesus exhorts us to keep oil in our lamps so we will be ready for the return of the bridegroom.
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
How do we keep our lamps filled with oil?

Joseph is an example of courage
Pam Padgett ... teacher
Joseph showed great courage as he heard from God and did what was right in the sight of God.
courage includes:
- facing and dealing with anything recognized as dangerous, difficult, or painful, instead of withdrawing from it
- doing what one believes is right regardless of the consequences
Joseph's brothers hated him because their father loved him more than his brothers. Joseph was given a dream by God showing that Joseph would reign over his brothers and they would bow down before him. Even though he was already hated by his brothers, Joseph had the courage to tell them this dream, and they hated him even more ...
Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
Then Joseph was given another similar dream. Even though his brothers hated him when he told the first dream, he had the courage to tell the second dream to his brothers and his father ...
Genesis 37:9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? 11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.
Hating and envying Joseph, his brothers first wanted to slay him but, instead, sold him to Ishmeelites. He was then sold to Potiphar in Egypt. Joseph courageously refused advanced from Potiphar's wife, refusing to lie with his master's wife and to sin against God, even fleeing when she took hold of his garment to try to force him ...
Genesis 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. 12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
Joseph was imprisoned when Potiphar's wife lied, telling her husband that Joseph had tried to force himself on her and showed her husband Joseph's garment which he had left behind.
Even though Joseph was in prison unjustly, he didn't shrink back, but continued to steadfastly trust in God. When Pharaoh's butler and baker were sad after having dreams, Joseph asked them to tell the dreams to him, saying that interpretations belong to God ...
Genensis 40:5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison. 6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad. 7 And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day? 8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
Joseph courageously told the interpretations he was given for the dreams, acting in faith that he had heard from God in the matter. Joseph was faithful even to tell the interpretation of the baker's dream which showed that he would be hanged in three days ...
Genesis 40:9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; 10 And in the vine were three branches:and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: 11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand. 12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: 13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
Genesis 40:16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head: 17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head. 18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days: 19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
The interpretations Joseph gave for both dreams came to pass.
When Pharaoh was given two dreams, all the magicians and wise men of Egypt could not give the interpretation. The butler remembered Joseph and told Pharaoh about him, that Joseph had given interpretations for the butler's dream and the baker's dream which came to pass ...
Genesis 41:8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh. 9 Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: 10 Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker: 11 And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. 12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. 13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.
Joseph was brought out of prison and told the dreams ....
Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. 15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. 16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. 17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river: 18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow: 19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness: 20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine: 21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke. 22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good: 23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: 24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
Again, Joseph courageously told the interpretation from God for the dreams, although they showed a very grievous famine which would consume the land ...
Genesis 41:25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one. 27 And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine. 28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh. 29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; 31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous. 32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
Joseph courageously gave counsel to Pharaoh in how to prepare for the famine shown in the dreams .....
Genesis 41:33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
Pharaoh set Joseph over the land to store up food during the years of great plenty. Although only 30 years old and being set over all the land of Egypt, Joseph courageously set forward to do this, believing the interpretation of the dreams and counsel he had been given ...
Genesis 41:46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt. 47 And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls. 48 And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same. 49 And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.
As Joseph courageously did what God had shown him and what he believed to be right in the sight of God, he was put in a position to make food available when the severe famine came, providing even for his fathers and brothers. God provided a great deliverance for the house of Israel through Joseph, as he explained to his brothers ...
Genesis 45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
Joseph showed great courage as he heard from God and did what was right in the sight of God.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
John 6:28-29 ... Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we
might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This
is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Believing on the word God sends is the work of God in our lives.
At the time I was born again, August, 1975, I owned a business in Dallas, TX. A woman sued me over a happening in my shop. I had to go to court over this. Before the trial, I heard, "Don't testify." I believed that word was from God. Every time I prayed I heard same thing: "Don't testify."
I told my lawyer I wasn't going to testify. He said that was okay. We had the testimony of the woman who worked for me and witnessed the event. But my lawyer added, "However if you testify there is no way we will lose this case." I kept checking with God through prayer and kept hearing each time, "Don't testify."
We went to trial. 1/2 way through my lawyer came to me and said, "Flo's testimony wasn't as strong as I had hoped for. If you will testify, we will win this case." I replied, "I'll see." I left and went to rest room and prayed and I heard, "Don't testify." I came back in court room and shook my head "NO". I did not testify. I was acquitted.
At one time, during this trial I said to God: "I certainly hope you know what we're doing. We're going to lose this case." But I didn't lose the case. And I did not testify.
When we believe we have heard from God, that is the only way we can go.But we also must try that spirit whether it is of God. I Jn. 4
The way I try the spirit, try the thought, is by prayer, asking God to confirm what I heard when I am in doubt or when it is specific instruction such as the "don't testify" example.
If you try following scripture without hearing that scripture from the Spirit of God you can really get in trouble. So many people pick out a scripture and try to do it thinking they have heard from God. They sacrifice themselves and their families as they try to go all over the world to preach the gospel. They beg for money to support their many works. I know they are not hearing from God. I know they are not following God by His Spirit. For when we are following God, there is no want. Psa 23:1... When we convince ourselves we must do something there is often want, sometimes great want. So I know these people are not of God because when the Lord is our shepherd, we have no want ... Psa. 23:1 ... Because HE is leading us into green pastures and beside still waters. They follow another spirit as they set about their many works.
The man across the street from me was convinced God told him to write a book comparing the constitution of USA with the Bible. This is nonsense. When he wrote the book and tried to get it published no one would publish it. Someone prophesied over him that he would quit his job with FBI and live off the book. Again nonsense. But people want to believe they are doing something for God. So often they cannot be persuaded otherwise.
Sometimes it is another spirit speaking.
Jesus said of these people: Mt. 23:15 ... Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mt. 7 ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Meditation examples
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Often when I am meditating in scripture, I will write the scripture in my notebook and write definition of words or thoughts brought to my mind or other scriptures when they come to mind, knowing it is Holy Spirit reminding me of these things. Sometimes I will be reminded of people and sometimes of dreams connected to people or events.
I just sit and think on that which God brings to my mind in connection with the scripture.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
stayed - kept in place ... not wandering off, following other things
Not getting caught up, pulled aside with ways of this world ... stuff on tv, what neighbors say

Meditation: Joan Boney
Joshua 1 ... There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
strength & courage: Courage not to communicate with those people who trouble you needlessly
(thought of names of those people to avoid) Emails to them in answer to them will cause them to email you and you will be entangled and drained and it will do no good for only God can make them understand. Leave them alone. If you answer them and entangle self with them it will stop the ministry to which you are assigned ... must protect the ministry ... focus on exhorting the church ... focus on your assignment from God...
good fruit vs evil fruit ... good fruit nourishes the body ... must keep myself in a position to nourish the church ... avoid those who product bad fruit ...
Bad fruit ... Jeremiah 29:4 ... Jeremiah 24:8 ... Jeremiah 29:17-18
evil figs ... cursed ... Jeremiah 24:9
- to be a reproach (an offense, disappointment, rebuke, disapproval)
- to be a proverb (a by-word)
- to be a taunt (to anger, wound, or provoke you)
- to be a curse (harm, cause of harm or misery)
Meditating in Word of God empowers me to do that which God wants me to do and to avoid those things God wants me to avoid.
Meditating in Word of God gives me strength and courage
Meditating in Word of God gives me endurance to continue to do what I believe God has shown me to do without wavering
Meditating in Word of God is eating flesh of Jesus and drinking HIS blood. It is life. It drives devils away.
Meditating in Word of God allows me to put my faith in God

Mind kept on what God has said ... what God wants me to do
- turn to God with each concern

Can a devil live inside a Christian
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
After I was born again, in the night while I was asleep, I was allowed to view the Holy Spirit casting a devil out of me.
It was inside my rib cage. A smart aleckly devil was skipping along and ran right into the Holy Spirit. That devil tried to dart back but the Holy Spirit said: "I see you ... come out of her ... You must go ... You must go ... You must go ..."
I felt like I was choking to death. That devil left me. I was allowed to know it's name. It was a "double minded spirit". I also had two more devils cast out of me by the Holy Spirit. One was a "lying" spirit and the other was nameless to me.
All this happened after I was born again.
Jesus said: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Mt. 12
I am persuaded meditating in the Word of God is the way we keep our house filled so devils will not move back.
And I believe devils will move out of us if we meditate daily in the Word of God, filling our house (ourselves) with that Word.

God provides a great deliverance
Pam Padgett ... teacher
God set Joseph in a position of great authority in Egypt, and gave him wisdom to prepare during 7 years of great plenty for 7 years of famine. The famine was even in Canaan where Joseph's father (Jacob) and his brothers lived. Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy corn and during their second trip there, Joseph revealed himself to them. Joseph told his brothers that God sent him before them to preserve them as a people and to save their lives by a great deliverance ...
Genesis 45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
Because of dreams God had given to Pharaoh, Joseph knew there were still five years of famine ahead and that his father and brothers were facing poverty if they stayed in Canaan. But God provided a great deliverance for them from the poverty, as Joseph sent for them to come to Egypt where he ruled ...
Genesis 45:9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: 10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: 11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
They had everything needed for the journey to Egypt, including wagons and provisions. And once in Egypt, rather than facing poverty, they could eat the fat of the land ...
Genesis 45:17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan; 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours. 21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. 22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment. 23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
They were given the best of the land to dwell in, and Joseph nourished them with bread. When all the land fainted because of the famine, they were cared for.
Genesis 47:11 And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. 12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families. 13 And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
John 5:42 ... But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Jesus knew there were those who claimed God was their Father but though they claimed this, God was not their Father. Jesus didn't stay with them trying to get them to understand.
However they often appeared before Jesus confronting HIM and trying to trap Him. They do the same thing to us today.
Jesus said to them: Jn. 8 ... If God were your Father, ye would love me (The Word): for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
If God was their Father they would love Jesus, the Word.
Many come to us saying Jesus is Lord but by their acts they show something or someone else other than the Word is their Lord. They fail to properly use the Word of God. They do various sins against the Word of God.
It is so important that we no longer allow ourselves to explain away their acts in order to keep them with us. They are like leaven, says Paul. I Cor. 5 ... It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Jesus confronted them. John the Baptist confronted them ... Lk. 3 ... Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance
Paul confronted them and warned the church about them ...II Tim. 4 ... Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: 15Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
Jesus told us this would happen in the last days and Jesus said: Be not deceived.
Mt. 24 ... And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
The church today preaches love and forgiveness and eliminate New Testament instructions concerning sin in the church and what to do when you see a "brother" sin ... When that happens sin remains in the congregation and there is no repentance and like leaven it spreads throughout the congregation without shame and acts as a leaven in the congregation.
The instructions for us are there in the Bible:
I Cor. 9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
When you see such sin in the church, Paul said put that person doing that sin out of the church. This is what we have to do. Paul did not say to forgive him and pray for him and counsel him. When he is called a brother and is committing fornication, covetousness, idolatry, is a railer, a drunkard, or extortioner, put him out of the church. (So many ministers today are extortioners. They use scripture to try to force you to give to them. You end up feeling guilty if you don't give. Some use scripture to try to make you afraid as to what will happen to you if you fail to give. Some wrongly use 100-fold return scripture to make you give... all this is extortion they practice in the church.)
And when we see a false teacher in the church, we stop reading and hearing his teaching. A false teacher is a person who teaching things that are not true. I have seen this many times in churches I have visited and each time I saw this, I went to the person teaching that false thing and ask him where that was in Bible. Without exception each of these false teachers admitted what they were teaching was not in the Bible. And then they tried to accuse me. I just walk away from them.

Meditating in the Word God gives
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We will be reading the Bible and sometimes a verse of scripture just stands out and we try to read past that verse and keep being pulled back to that verse.
When this happens, stop trying to go ahead and focus on that verse. There is a special message from God to you in that verse.
This is called "meditating" in the Word from God. As you do this, you eat the flesh of Jesus and you drink the blood of Jesus. Jesus said: Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Jn. 53
This is where the power is. The power is in that specific verse that stands out to you. You may need to spend several days, weeks, or even months on that verse. I have often spent several months looking daily at the same verse.
At this point in time, and for the past few weeks, I have been focused on the following:
First, I noticed 3 times God said the same thing: "Be strong and of good courage ..."
I took a dictionary and looked up the words "strong" and "courage".
Strong means:
- exerting great force
- showing determination, self-control
- intense and firmly held
- lasting despite difficulties
- very intense
- forceful
Courage means:
- ability to do something that frightens one
- strength in the face of pain or grief
- acting on one's beliefs despite danger or disapproval
From dictionary: Courage is what makes someone capable of facing extreme danger and difficulty without retreating ... Ability to endure in time of adversity ... Standing up when it really counts ... firmness or strength of mind ... determination ... stubborn persistence and unwillingness to acknowledge defeat ... conviction and eagerness ... unflappable daring with which someone acts ... not deterred by danger or pain ...
=========
Twice in Joshua 1, God speak of the correlation of prosperity and acting upon that which God has shown you.
Joshua 1:7-8 ... Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
I have found that I prosper without trying to prosper. All I've been trying to do for the past 30+ years is what God tells me to do.

And God says ... Have not I commanded thee? Joshua 1:9 ... Has God commanded you? Are you really hearing from God to do that? If it is really God, it will happen but you must be very courageous.
In 1980, God spoke to me in the night while I slept ... 3 words ... "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS" ...
"What did it mean?" I asked God. (Turned out KWJS was radio station.) "Are you telling me to go on radio? I wouldn't know how to do that." (Gentle impression: Call radio station manager) I called that morning. Manager said make audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and if I fit with their broadcasting they would offer me a contract. I made an audition tape immediately. (I just sat down and spoke that which God brought to my mind by HIS Spirit and mailed tape that day to radio station.) Within a week I was on radio five days a week for 30 minutes per day.
Was that God WHO commanded me? I was certainly persuaded it was.
Sometimes a scripture will strongly stand out to you ... Phil. 2 stood out to me this way about 2 years ago ...
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation,
I began to meditate on this and stayed on it for about 7 months trying to conform my actions to this scripture.
People do all sorts of things to exalt themselves above other people. The apostle told us Jesus didn't do that and for us to have the "same mind" Jesus had, making ourselves of "no reputation" ...
I stopped playing bridge where the entire goal is to beat everyone else in the room. Even when I played bridge I often thought, "Would Jesus or Paul be doing this." My answer was, "Of course not." They wouldn't be trying to beat other people and exalt themselves. I stopped forever.
It was meditating in this scripture that gave me the direction I took and gave me the power to stop.
For the next 7 months I just sat alone at my house in Lubbock. I knew there was no place for me to go and nothing for me to do. At the end of 7 months, God gave me a dream to show me to go on Internet and do exhortations. Within 3 days of the dream, we were publishing on Internet. (Started last week in March, 2012)
At this point in time, I don't think I'm doing anything at all to exalt myself. Often when I write these exhortations people hate and despise me because of that which I write. That is the way the real word of God is. It is a cross. It often brings shame to the person who speaks it or writes it. (For example: read Evil from Pastors)

One of the first things God taught me back in 1975 was meditating on the Word HE gave me so I would have strength and courage to do what HE wanted me to do ... and also that in doing that, I would prosper everywhere I went ... and this happened! (prosper means to have good success)
This form of meditation is eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking the blood of Jesus.
Jesus said: Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
John 6:53
Please read:
- What is the Lord's supper?
- How do you eat Jesus?

Pam Padgett ... teacher
Luke 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
A cubit is the length of a forearm (about 18-22 inches). Jesus said adding this to our height would be "least". In the sight of God this is not a big thing. Since I can't add even 1/2 inch to my height, how can I think I can provide for my needs ... food, clothing, shelter?
To try to do this is a very heavy yoke and can't be done. How do I know what I really need? or how much is enough? And there are many things I have no control over that affect what I need.
But God knows what I need, how much, and has all power to provide what I need no matter the circumstances.
I can't provide my needs, but God can and will.

Making your way prosperous
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Joshua 1:8 ... This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
When I was born again in 1975, I wanted to prosper and have good success. I saw by this scripture the way to do that. You meditate in the Word of God day and night. As you do that, you gain strength and courage which enables you to do what the Word says and to have faith in God. And you end up making your own way prosperous because you do the Word of God and you have good success.
Another great benefit is by filling yourself with the word of God daily and continuing to do this you "fill your house" and you drive devils out.
Mt. 12 ... Jesus said ... When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Meditating daily in that word given you by God is eating and drinking the blood of Jesus.
Jesus said ... Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Jn. 6:53
Meditating in the word given you by God is the way we eat HIS flesh and drink HIS blood. It is the Lord's supper. He feeds us as we feed upon HIS word.
Meditating in the word of God and reading the Bible are different things. We read the Bible until a scripture "jumps" out at you and you have trouble reading past that verse. STOP! Go back to that verse. Focus on that verse. Think about what it is saying. Think about how it applies to you. Look key words up in dictionary. This about it as you go about your day. Think about it as you go to sleep. This is meat and drink to you.
Psa. 1 ... Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Jeremiah 17 ... Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Meditating in the Word of God helps us to have faith in God.
So if you want to make your way prosperous and have good success, meditate daily in the word of God to get strength and courage to enable you to do the Word of God. Also this drives devils out!

Kept according to the will of God
Pam Padgett ... teacher
God showed through dreams what HE was going to do in the life of Joseph, the son of Jacob ...
Genesis 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
When Joseph told these dreams to his brothers, they hated and envied him. As a result, when Joseph was sent by his father to bring word of how his brothers and the flocks were, his brothers conspired to kill him, saying we shall see what will become of his dreams ...
Genesis 37:18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. 19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
But they were stopped from killing Joseph by Reuben and Judah ...
Genesis 37:21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him. 22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again. 23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.
Joseph was sold to some Ishmeelites who took him to Egypt and sold him to Potiphar. But God was with Joseph and caused all that he did to prosper, and he gained favor in the sight of Potiphar. However, Potiphar's wife wanted to commit fornication with Joseph, and Joseph refused, so she accused Joseph of trying to force himself on her. Because of this, Potiphar had Joseph put into prison. But God continued with Joseph, even in prison, making what he did to prosper, and giving him favor with the keeper of the prison.
While in prison, God gave Joseph interpretations for dreams two other prisoners had. One of the prisoners, Pharoah's butler, was released from prison as shown in the dream he had. Two full years later, Pharoah was given two dreams, but none of the wise men could interpret the dreams. The butler then remembered Joseph and told Pharoah how he had interpreted the dreams in prison. Joseph was called before Pharoah ...
Genesis 41:15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
God gave Joseph the interpretation of the dreams ... that there would be 7 years of great plenty followed by 7 years of famine. And Joseph also had counsel for Pharoah to set a discreet and wise man over Egypt to take up a fifth part during the years of plenty and lay this up for the years of famine. Pharoah, recognizing that Joseph had the Spirit of God, set him to be over Egypt ...
Genesis 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.
Joseph laid up food during the years of plenty in preparation for the years of famine.
When the years of famine came, Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt and sent his sons there to buy corn ...
Genesis 42:1 Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another? 2 And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die. 3 And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt. (Joseph had 11 brothers but Jacob kept the younger brother, Benjamin, with him.)... 5 And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan. 6 And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
Initially, Joseph did not reveal who he was to his brothers. He let all but Simeon return to their home with corn, and insisted that his youngest brother, Benjamin, be brought to Egypt. When the famine continued, Jacob finally allowed Benjamin to be taken to Egypt so they could get more corn. Joseph then revealed himself to his brothers ...
Genesis 45:4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. 5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: 10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: 11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty. 12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you. 13 And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
Although some tried to harm and even kill Joseph, God kept him safe. It was the will of God for Joseph to reign even over his family, as shown in the dreams given him, put in a position to provide food and care for his father and brothers during the famine.
God showed through dreams what HE was going to do in the life of Joseph, the son of Jacob ...
Genesis 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
John 5:39-40 ... Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not
come to me, that ye might have life.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
People in the Faith Movement are taught to find a scripture to stand on to get what they want in this present life.
The problem is this doesn't work unless the Spirit of God directs you to that scripture for it is the Spirit of God that knows the will of God in all things for the Spirit of God searches the heart of God to see what God is thinking in the matter at hand and the Spirit of God speaks only the will of God to us.
I Cor. 2 ... Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
I wanted to marry ... I searched the Bible and found scripture to stand on concerning marrying... One scripture I recall was: Isaiah 34:16 ... Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
So every day I "claimed" this scripture. I dated various men from church groups but each one was removed from me. One even said to me, "Joan, don't stop praying about our marrying." And he just disappeared. I felt God was removing them one by one.
My best friend at the time was praying for me to marry but she same to me and said as she was praying God said to her: My grace will be sufficent for her.
I was dating a man named Bob. One day as he was approaching the door of my business in Dallas, I heard: "You can have all the money you want but you're not going to have this." I thought God was saying I wouldn't marry Bob. Now I believe what God was saying is that I wouldn't marry anyone. It wasn't the will of God for me. So I could claim and stand on "none shall want her mate" for the rest of my life without results.
So instead of looking for a scripture to claim, I learned to pray, asking God for HIS will to be done in my life.
People in the Faith Movement are often trapped this way. They end up wanting to be their own god by finding scripture and claiming that scripture to get what they want in this life. When it doesn't work they think they just have weak faith. The truth is it doesn't work for that is not the way of God. The way of God is to go to HIM and follow that shown you by HIS Spirit. There is a big difference between this way and the way of finding a scripture by your own mind to try to get what you want on this earth.

Meditation example: 9-1-13
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Meditation in the Word of God is taking a Word that stands out to you and digging deeply into that word. Here is an example from the notebook I keep.
9-1-13
Joshua 1:5 ... I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
"fail" means:
- neglect to do something
- behave in a way contrary to hopes or expectations by not doing something
- break down ... cease to work
- become weaker or of poorer quality ... die away
- be lacking or insufficient
The word fail is based on Latin "fallere" meaning deceive
God will not fail me. God will not deceive me. That which God says to me is totally true.
God will not forsake me ... He will not abandon me ... He chose me and I belong to HIM
God will lead me and care for me as long as HE leaves me on this earth.

Fear
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Friday I almost had car accident. I nearly hit a car and it was my fault. I was terrified.
Saturday morning I awoke thinking of this and was talking to God, "What should I do?" ... "I need help." ... "I don't know what I should do." ... "Please don't let me have accident." ... "Please help me."
At same time I was crying out to God, I was opening Bible and saw the following: the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Josh. 1:9 However, it was not that God reminded me of this, I saw it myself when opening the Bible.
I didn't feel settled.
But as I was praying I had three people brought to my mind. "Frances, Elwanda, Larry" ... When I stopped and focused on these people, I started laughing and I believe I knew what God was saying to me.
These 3 played bridge and I saw them frequently at bridge center. Frances couldn't see much at all. She drove herself to bridge daily. She parked very strangely, at all sorts of angles, taking up multiple parking places. She couldn't see.
Elwanda couldn't see either. I often passed her car enroute to bridge. She drove a large Lincoln car and it was bright red. I would seen her a block away. She was always in left lane because she would need to turn left to get to bridge center. She was driving about 20 miles an hour in left lane on a street with heavy traffic and cars zooming past her. No doubt many drivers became angry because she was in left lane, creeping along. But she couldn't see.
Neither of these women ever had accident. Neither could see. They couldn't have passed driving test to get license. Yet they drove themselves. And no accident. (They were both in their 80's.)
Larry was mid-90's and drove one of those very large 1970 type Cadillacs. When he got in car to leave bridge center, he reved the motor and took off, spinning gravel everywhere. He didn't seem to notice the street he turned onto which had some traffic. He never had accident.
I just sat and laughed when I thought of these three people! I felt God was showing me I could drive and would be able to drive to the end of my life.

When we allow ourselves to get into weakened condition
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We get into weakened spiritual conditions by failing to take destructive thoughts captive ... (see Booklet #2: Dealing with Destructive Thoughts) ... and we get into weakened conditions by failing to meditate daily in the word God calls to our attention by His Spirit.
Reading the Bible will not keep us strong. Meditating in specific scripture and applying those scripture to our lives in an appropriate way will keep us strong spiritually.
When
we are in weakened condition spiritually, we put ourselves into a position for
devils to move into our lives and sometimes we give place for devils to
speak through us.
Reading the Bible will not keep us strong. Meditating in specific scripture and applying those scripture to our lives in an appropriate way will keep us strong spiritually.
We
must keep ourselves filled with the blood of Christ through daily
eating the flesh of Christ and daily drinking the blood of Christ.
None
of us are immune to this ... we must meditate in the scriptures given
us by the Holy Spirit ... we must do this daily. It might be the same
set of scriptures daily or a new set but we must eat the flesh of
Jesus and drink the blood of Jesus daily to have life and be healthy
spiritually. Otherwise we will get weaker and weaker and devils will move in and torment us and others around us.
There is a very big difference between reading a chapter per day as a regular Bible ritual and stopping and meditating in specific verses. You can deceive yourself by just reading the Bible. You will eventually find you want to hurry though that chapter so you can get on to something else in life. But you feel you must read the Bible so you do. But it avails nothing because it is simply a ritual. You are not eating the flesh of Jesus. You are not drinking the blood of Jesus when you read this way. It is meditating in specific scriptures daily to apply them to your life which is eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking the blood of Jesus.
So
when you go back daily to building yourself up in specific scripture
you will gain strength again.
If you fail to meditate in scriptures, thinking of what they say to you, making proper adjustments to your life, you will grow weak in spiritual things and devils will begin to move in and take over at will and you will find yourself saying things you shouldn't say and you will begin to hurt other people needlessly because this is what devils do and when they move into your life this way they will influence that which you speak.
It is the following: Mt.
12 ... When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through
dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will
return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he
findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with
himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in
and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the
first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
When we stop meditating daily, our house becomes empty of spiritual things so it is easy for devils to move in and take over.
