πŸ’₯ God watches over all that we are about to do and helps us.

Pam Padgett:  Member of the body of Christ ...

I came across a recipe for dressing that sounded very good and wanted to make it but needed several ingredients from the store.

Grocery stores are so busy this week as people get ready for Thanksgiving dinners and I don't want to be in crowds. So I thought perhaps I could go to the store early in the morning before most people made their ways to the store.

But as I was considering doing this, I was suddenly reminded that the store I planned to go to has a pickup service where they will bring your order out to your car... I hadn't even thought of this. Being just a couple days before Thanksgiving I wondered if there would be any time slots available, but when I looked there were some for this afternoon!

So I entered my order online, and was able to pickup the order this afternoon. Very easy and without being in the midst of crowds of people. The Holy Spirit leading me in a very easy way.

Wonderful to see how God watches over us in all that we do.

πŸ’₯ Controlling your flesh by the Spirit of God.

Barbara Preston, Member of the body of Christ

“Do all things without murmurings and disputings:” Phil 2:14

In other words, do everything without complaining and without strife and quarreling.

A while back this scripture stood out to me and I have been paying extra attention to it … thinking about what it is telling me, asking God to help me with this, and putting it into practice in my personal life when the need is there to do this.

I see this so much with my husband because I mostly talk to and with him. But now, when something is said to me that causes a sudden spark of anger to rise up inside me, this scripture will rise up on the heels of the fleshly anger and I find myself being able to overcome my flesh by obeying this scripture.

Earlier today I said something to my husband and he answered me in an irritated way. I didn’t say anything to him (because of this scripture) even though my flesh wanted to respond in kind.

Then I was reminded that, at the time this happened, he was trying to do something on his laptop and it wasn’t going well so he was annoyed and responded the way he did.

So I then prayed that God would help him and it helped me so much to do this. Joan Boney sent an exhortation the other day about how we, as Christians, don’t have to respond in a fleshly way to someone who may say something to us in an unexpected way because they are upset about something.

And most of all, I am so grateful to belong to God, to believe His Word and to have His Holy Spirit.

Comments by Joan Boney ... when possible learn to sense the problem  the other person is having and pray then for the other person without saying anything to add to his problem.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Holy Spirit lives in each person who belongs to God.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

The Holy Spirit "comes upon us" each time He brings to our mind a scripture or concept to show us the will of God.

πŸ’₯ To build yourself up in God, think on things God has said to you in word and dreams.

Strengthen yourself in God.

Think on when you were born again and what God said to you at that time.

Think on the other times God has instructed you by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in you.

Think on dreams that God gave you through the years to lead you and to show you truth.

God spoke to the apostle Peter to reveal Christ to him.

Matthew 16  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 HE saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Podcast: God created woman as the "help meet" for the man

Genesis 2

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 11  (The apostle Paul says:)

1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered (with long hair), dishonoureth his head.

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered (with short hair) dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head (long hair) because of the angels.

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered (with short hair) ?

14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 7

24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

38 So then he that giveth in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth not in marriage doeth better.

(In verse 38, the translators of the KJV added the word "her" which changes the meaning of the exhortation.  Paul is saying those who choose not to marry do better than those who marry.)

The apostle Peter married and had children.

The apostle Paul did not marry.

πŸ’₯ Jesus overcame all temptations through that which God gave to HIM.

Luke 4

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days HE did eat nothing: and when they were ended, HE afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto HIM, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

(Prove you are of God.)

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

5 And the devil, taking HIM up into an high mountain, shewed unto HIM all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto HIM, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM ONLY shalt thou serve.

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

(Now the devil begins to speak scripture to Jesus to tempt Jesus.)

10 For it is written, He shall give HIS angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from HIM for a season.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him (devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Revelation 3:5  Jesus said:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

In each temptation, we turn to God asking HIM to help us and we overcome by that which God brings to our mind.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We resist the devil with that which God gives us in the temptation.

Keep before you that which God brings to your mind.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Peter 5

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that HE may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Never let go of your faith in God.  Hold fast to HIS Word.

Job 13:15   Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

(There have time times I've almost been swept away but somehow God kept me in the trial and in time the battle ended.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

John 5:30  (Jesus said)  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Podcast: Homosexuals and lesbians: What the Bible says

Romans 1

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified HIM not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Sometimes homosexuals and lesbians will say they were born that way.  This is not what the Bible says.

Bible says:

Mark 10:6   But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

(They were turned over by God to vile affections.  Romans 1:26)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In the Old Testament God calls homosexuals, "Sodomites".

In the city of Sodom, homosexuals lived "in every quarter" of the city of Sodom. Their sins reached into heaven and God sent 2 angels to Sodom to remove the righteous nephew of Abraham, named Lot, before HE had the angels destroy Sodom.

Genesis 13:12-13  Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Genesis 19

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

(Angels do not have wings as humans today often think.  Angels look like natural humans.)

2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

3 And he (Lot) pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

(Notice there were homosexual "from every quarter" of Sodom, and they came to have sex with the 2 men who were at Lot's house.)

5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (Have sex with them.)

6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them.  And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

11 And they (the angels) smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

12 And the men (the angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he (the angel) said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

(If we stay with those who are sinning, we might be consumed by them.)

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 And he (the angel) said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25 And he (God) overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 But his wife (Lot's wife)  looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

I do not hate homosexuals or lesbians ... but I would not go to a barbecue with them.

I have met homosexuals and lesbians who say they are Christians and attend a church.

In each case, I have given them the following scripture to consider:

Romans 1

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Paul says:

2 Timothy 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

πŸ’₯ When there is a problem.

Philippians 3

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord (The Word from God). To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

(It is the wisdom that comes from God that helps us in the midst of the problem.  Focus on that Word.)

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Focus on the right things:  "God ... what do I do about this?  How do I go forward?"

Podcast: God brings thoughts that cause love, joy, peace ... devils bring fear, doubt, trouble

James 3

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation (manner of life) his works with meekness of wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Fear and doubt are primary tools used by devils.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

When there is a "fear", look for some thought from a devil in the matter.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Devil will try to get us to turn from the idea that is from God.

πŸ’₯ God will not fail us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)

Hebrews 13:5-6  Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Podcast: All who are born again are "the saints".

The Saints are those persons who are born again having the Spirit of God dwelling in them.

The apostle Paul says:

I Corinthians 3:16   Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Every person who is born again of the Spirit of God is a "saint".

The born again church are the saints.

Ephesians 4:3-5  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Here are some of the scriptures in the Bible concerning the saints:

Romans 16:15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

2 Corinthians 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

Psalms 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: HE preserveth the souls of HIS saints; HE delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

2 Corinthians 9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalms 89:5 And the heavens shall praise THY wonders, O LORD: THY faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Romans 8:27 And HE that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because HE maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 15:31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward HIS name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Colossians 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalms 149:1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and HIS praise in the congregation of saints.

1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Ephesians 4:11-13   And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints,

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The saints are the church.

Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Acts 2:47  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Podcast: The Word of God

Hebrews 4

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in HIS sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do.
