I Timothy 6
1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and His doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

(We are warned about thinking "gain" is a sign of godliness. If you are aware of someone who thinks this way, Paul says: "from such withdraw thyself.")

(Those person who set their goal to gain wealth, trying to accumulate money, live in a dangerous error. God given us richly all things to enjoy. I Tim. 6:17)

A wonderful example for us is Joseph. When he was 17, his brothers sold him into slavery. But God made this 17 year old boy prosper everywhere he went.
Genesis 37 (The story of Joseph)
26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?
27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.
28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

1 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

(Joseph refuses to sin against his master, keeping his way right in the sight of God.)

The master's wife gives her husband false witness against Joseph and causes Joseph to be taken to Pharaoh's prison.

18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.
19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

💥 No matter what, God arranged for Joseph to prosper. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
29 For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom HE did predestinate, them HE also called: and whom HE called, them HE also justified: and whom HE justified, them HE also glorified.

Multiple times in my life, humans have risen against me wrongly, but God has always caused me to come out of the situation "ahead" and has cause me to benefit financially as-well-as spiritually.

22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

When Pharaoh's head butler and head cook offended Pharaoh, he put them into the prison where Joseph was kept. God gave each of them dreams and gave Joseph the interpretation to each of the dreams. Joseph hoped to get help from the head butler to get free from prison.
Genesis 40: (Joseph said to the head butler:) But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house: 15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
But after the butler was released and restored as head butler to Pharaoh, he forgot Joseph.
Genesis 40:39 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him. And Joseph was left in the prison 2 full years as a result.
But nevermind: God has HIS way to get Joseph out of the prison
God gave Pharaoh dreams (Genesis 41), and God gave Joseph interpretation and "wisdom" in how to deal with the 7 years of abundance followed by the great famine of 7 years which was to come upon Egypt.
Genesis 41 (Joseph says to Pharaoh)
29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
31 And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.
32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

💥 God gives Joseph wisdom to deal with that which is to come upon Egypt.
33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.
45 And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

(Joseph was brought into Egypt as a 17-year-old slave boy with nothing but the clothes he was wearing on his back. By the time Joseph was 30 God has caused him to be 2nd in command of the entire nation of Egypt!)
God has HIS way and nothing is too hard for God ... Whatever our circumstances, if needed, God can change them and cause good to come to us.

(That which is coming upon us is God's great tribulation with 14 plagues and the return of Jesus where Jesus sends HIS angels to gather the elect of God from off the earth.)

Go in the way of peace. Choose that way as you live, waiting for the return of Jesus where HE gathers the elect of God to take the elect to the new heaven and new earth which God has created for them for all eternity.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by HIM.

Build your faith by reasoning such stories as Joseph written in the Bible. View how God caused all things to turn for good in Joseph's life even when evil was done against him. These scriptures can greatly help us when we "reason" that these things happened for our admonition, as the apostle Paul says:
