πŸ’₯ New Book: Chapter 5: Peter tells us three things to do as we wait for the return of Jesus.

2 Peter 3

10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Go in peace ... Go in the way of peace ...

Let the peace of God rule in your heart.  Col. 3:15

There are choices in the ways we can go.  Go in the way of peace ...

Choose that.

And when the Holy Spirit speaks, that is the way ... without spot and blameless.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Many years ago, a neighbor became offended in me.  I never did know what upset her.  I went to her trying to reconcile and she would have none of me.  She faithfully attended a Methodist Church.

The Holy Spirit called my attention to the word, "implacable".

Romans 1

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Implacable:   The meaning of IMPLACABLE is not placable : not capable of being appeased.

And the Holy Spirit brought the following scripture to show me what to do concerning this woman:

Matthew 15:14   Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

So I "let her alone" and didn't try to be friends with her.  I just ignored her.

Years later, she began speaking to me again when she saw me at grocery or in my yard.

We overcome when God shows us what to do and we do that.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Only one thing is needful ... the Word of God to show us what to do in the issues of this present life.

Paul tells us what it will be like in the last days:

2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;  (We learn spiritual things from the Holy Spirit as we do that which HE shows us to do and as we meditate on the scriptures gaining power to do those scriptures.)

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

God gave me this dream:  I needed to get out of my house but I could not go through my cousin's house.

After my mother died, my cousin tried to get me to move to Albuquerque, NM where she and her husband and 2 adult aged sons lived.  She said, "The boy's will be of such help to us."

But God had already told me I could not go through my cousin's house.

So I didn't go that way.  Instead I built a house in Lubbock, Texas, and moved there, 350 miles in the opposite direction from my cousin.

Shortly after this, my cousin's husband died.   When she needed a light bulb changed in her ceiling she asked her youngest son to come change it for her.  (He ignored her.)

She then called and threatened to get on a ladder and change the bulb herself.  (She was partially crippled.)  Then he came and changed the bulb.

God spared me by giving me the dream showing me I couldn't go through my cousin's house.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

But we must do that instruction which God gives us!

I Corinthians 11

27  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord (the word of God), unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself (as he reads or hears the Word of God), and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep
(die)

Be doers of the Word and not hearers only:

One day, I had news on my TV when the announcer began speaking about tariffs that would make the cost of items higher, and I felt such fear ... I turned off TV and began praying and this scripture came to my mind immediately and I began thinking on what that scripture said and peace returned.

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (the Word).

I've found God often gives me a Word before the need and when I do that Word then there is no need where otherwise there might have been a need.

Men often do things which allow needs to come to many people.  When God shows us a scripture to do, often we go through no need when needs come to others.

Hebrews 13:5-6  Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord
(the Word HE gives me to live by) is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

We can't follow our own reasoning for "surprises" often happen ... but when we do what we feel God is showing us to do, the need is often met before the "event".

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Without spot & blameless:

Recently someone did something that greatly discouraged me and troubled me.  I did not respond.  I got very quiet and asked God for help.  And God brought the following scripture to my mind.

Ezekiel 33:31-33

31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them,

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Many say they are Christians but I find very few who really know what it is to live by faith in God, faith in that Word that God speaks by HIS Spirit.

Jesus tells us "few" will find the way of life.

Matthew 7

13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

It helps a lot to avoid those things that trouble us or cause us to become angry.  I try to avoid TV shows that cause this in me.  Also I try to avoid certain people who cause these emotions to come in me.

Structure your life:  live in things that bring peace to you.  Live without spot and blameless in the sight of God!  Go in the way of righteousness, regardless of what those around you choose to do.  Try the spirit to see if the thought that came to your mind is of God for devils and our flesh bring thoughts opposite to the way God would have us go.

God brings the great tribulation upon the earth before HE destroys the earth with fire.  14 Plagues of God  (Revelation 8, 9, 16)

Jesus says:  Mt. 24:21-22  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
