Biblically fireballs falling from heaven to earth are called "brimstone."

A "fireball" landed last week between Maine and Canada, according to CNN. A museum in Maine is offering $25,000 for the remainder of a "space rock" that streaked across the sky last week between the United States and Canada.
This fireball, shone a very bright light, significant in that it fell around noon and people saw this for approximately 4 minutes during broad daylight, shinning brightly racing through the Maine sky. It also sounded a sonic boom as it came into the earth's atmosphere.
It was thought to be approximately 2 lbs. in weight.
In 2021, a fireball fell in England in the driveway of a home. A 25-metric ton meteorite crashed in Africa in Somalia in 2020 and is the 9th largest meteorite ever found. Two never before seen minerals were found in this Africa meteorite.
"For the light (of the Maine fireball) to overwhelm the brightness of the day was a significant event," says Darryl Pitt, head of the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum.
