Luke 10:19-20 (Jesus says) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

John 14:27 (Jesus says) Peace
I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.

Matthew 6:9-13 (Jesus says) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be THY name.
10 THY kingdom come, THY will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For THINE is
the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
(Comments by Pam Padgett: Sometimes the "unbelievers" that come across our paths identify themselves as Christians, but they ignore or explain away some scriptures, not believing what God has told us in those scriptures.
I was once engaged to marry a man who said he was a Christian. But when he told me his son was planning to marry a divorced woman, and I shared what Jesus says in Matthew 5:32, he wanted nothing more to do with me. We ended up breaking our engagement.
Matthew 5:32 But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
As I tried to grasp what had happened, the Holy Spirit reminded me of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and explained that this man was an unbeliever (although he called himself a Christian), for had he believed what we're told in Matthew 5:32, he would have warned his son that marrying a divorced woman would result in adultery. Instead, he turned away from one who shared this truth from God.)
