Scriptures

I want to get scripture more deeply inside me and I know we can do that by meditating throughout the day on key scriptures.

You can put scriptures into an email to yourself so when you open your email throughout that day, those scriptures will be there and this will give you more opportunity to think on those scripture and do them.

Our flesh craves excitement.

Thus we run about to and fro... making plans to entertain our flesh ... keeping busy in the way of the world.

God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light.  Learn to live in peace.

Peace:

- freedom from disturbance
- quiet, tranquil, calm
- freedom from strife and war
- composed, content

John 18:36 ... Jesus says:  My kingdom is not of this world:

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

I Timothy 6:5-12    Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(not wanting more or better)

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

(To follow after money ... to take a job for purpose of getting more money rather than interest in the work, is to follow after money.  If you do that you will fall into a temptation and a snare and hurt your own self and your family.)

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
