Psalm 10
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God;
God is not in all his thoughts.
His ways are always grievous.

Comments by Joan Boney:
Recently I said to a woman, "Why is it what you say is always so dreadful, so dark, so unhappy, and brings so much sadness and grief? Are you ever joyous and happy in God?"
(This woman says she is born again, but I'm always so sad when I have spoken to her, and there is so much trouble and grief brought by her words.)
Her ways are always grievous.
Grievous:
- injurous
- gross
- appalling
- wounding
- damaging
- dreadful
- terrible
- awful
- painful
- agonizing
My mother was like that until her later years when she was born again.
After that, my uncle wrote me and said: "Your mother has changed. She has really changed."
At one point, my mother agreed with scripture when I read the Bible to her, and she even said, "I guess we'd better not do that anymore." (concerning reading horoscopes and going by that)
I knew she was born again with that decision.
Toward the end of her life she displayed her change to me when I had planned to do something and she said, "Well ... it will make it better won't it?"
This was totally different from what she had been when I was a child and a young person.
When my dad wanted to marry my mother, he went to see her father to tell him he wanted to marry her.
My grandfather said to my dad, "Well ... Okay ... But no one can get along with her."
The difference in her latter years had to be God.
How can a person born again be so dark and dreadful and negative? How can he not be joyous?
God makes all the difference.
But when a person comes among the church and is so "grievous", causing constant trouble by his words (always being a thorn and thistle), we just have to try not to be in a position where we have to hear that person's words, for our words as a Christian should cause great joy and hope in God.
God does so many things in our lives, we should be sharing those joys, glorifying God.
How can we not be filled with joy when we belong to God?

Concerning the "wicked" ...
Psalm 10
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
... He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den ... he draweth him into his net
*****
But God will deliver us, HIS people, from the hands of the wicked.
Praise God continually and speak of HIS goodness to us and of HIS help to HIS people.
Encourage one another with that which God has done.

Psalm 1
Blessed in the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
