Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Planning ahead often shows a lack of faith in God in dealing with tomorrow.
Our flesh wants to have everything that might happen come under our control by our own wisdom.
When we trust God, we can safely live today and pray over tomorrow, trusting God to care for us and knowing if there is a problem ahead, God will give us HIS wisdom to deal with that problem.
When God sent Joshua out, God told Joshua to focus on doing the scripture. If he would do that, everything would prosper and he would have good success.
I find the same thing to be true today. Focus on the scripture that is brought to your mind by the Spirit of God. Do that scripture and keep on doing it. Live by that scripture and allow that scripture to live inside you.
God said to Joshua.
Joshua 1:5-9
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Have not I commanded thee?
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

We do not meditate in the law of Moses but we meditate in that word brought to our mind by the Spirit of God. (It can be either OT or NT when it is a scripture ... or it can simply be a direction.)
But the principle God gave Joshua works today for us as we follow that Word given by the Spirit of God. For the Spirit of God searches the heart of God and shares with us the will of God in that which we are doing on this earth. I Corinthians 2

I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
