II Timothy 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
We must first have faith in God and even be tested to see if we really have faith in what God says and does before we can share with others.
We can't just talk about faith in God.
We must live faith in God.

We have many "tests" along the way to see what we really believe.
That person who runs to you to get you to pray for him shows he does not have faith in God, nor does he believe God will answer his prayer if he prays. Beware of such a person. Without faith in God, he will burden you trying to get you to pray for that which he cannot get for himself through prayer. He will end up casting his care on you by telling you his troubles.
He does not have faith in God when he does this.
Bible tells us:
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

A "Christian" who turns to you with his troubles, is either immature and lacks faith that he can pray, or he may have prayed and God failed to answer his prayer because it was not the will of God for him.
I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, HE heareth us: And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
I usually tell such a person that he should pray.
I'm always amazed at how often people want me to pray. Why don't they pray? They have the same access to God that I have through Jesus Christ.
Perhaps they know I have faith in God, while they do not have faith in God but rather in other people. But the fact that I have faith in God does not mean I have faith to pray that which they are trying to get for themselves!
YOU pray.
If you have faith in God and pray according to the will of God, God will answer your prayer.
