Delighting in the Law of the Lord

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Psalm 1:1-3   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

I delight in the law of the LORD for by the Word of God, HIS rules, HIS thinking, I know which way to go on this present earth and I also see a way to overcome my own flesh.

Enter by the strait gate ... Mt. 7

How I rejoice in this word.  For I see it as freedom from the sins of this present world.

When I was born again, I didn't know anything about following God nor did I know about the Holy Spirit and following HIM.

God took me from verse to verse to teach me about the Holy Spirit and the way the Holy Spirit leads us.

I learned what to do and what not to do by HIS Spirit bringing to my mind verses of scripture and dreams.

As I thought on these and did the instruction, I set myself in the way of God and I did proper (succeed) in all that I did, just as it says in Psalm 1.

Even when God destroyed me to get me free from the ungodly in the ministry world and in the church world, I came out ahead and moved into a place of God's rest.

I know the way of Psalm 1, for that is the way I have worked to go for more than 40 years.  And the law of the Lord is still my delight.

When I read the Bible, I examine myself that my way fit the scripture.

I encourage myself in the way of God by reading scripture and by thinking on that which God has shown me.

I greatly rejoice in the victory I see through the scriptures over my own flesh.

Gal. 5:16-26    This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
(for by doing the scriptures we fulfill the law)

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
