According to Bible, the wickedness increases in the end times and apostasy surfaces in the churches.
II Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection (homosexual/lesbian), trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
v. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Apostasy in the churches before Jesus returns: Apostasy is the falling away from scripture and setting up new rules contrary to scripture in the churches.
II Thessalonians 2:3-4 NASB Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
The man of lawlessness, antichrist, is a spirit working in men just as the devil is a spirit working in men. Antichrist is not one man but many men. Even in Paul and Peter's day there were many antichrists trying to come into churches and work among them. Order was kept by Paul and he did not permit them to surface in the church but they were there in the church just waiting to take over. Paul said he knew that after his "departing" (death) these evil men would rise up in the church and bring perverse doctrine into the church to draw disciples away after themselves.
Acts 20:29-30 Paul says ... For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
All this would get worse and worse in the church in the end time and before the coming of Jesus it would become rampant in the churches. We see this today as churches cast aside scripture concerning divorce & remarriage, homosexual, lesbians and other matters.
This increase of perversion and falling away of doctrine in the churches is like "leaves on a tree" which signal the coming of spring. By such increases of wickedness in both the world and in the churches we see the sign of drawing nearer to the coming of Jesus.
Consider this instruction:
I Thessalonians 5:1-3 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Don't the homosexuals and lesbians feel peace and safety now? especially in USA. In one state, they have even gone so far as to consider removing the word "gender" from birth certificates. I found this shocking.
In the 1960's in Texas they had a law prohibiting homosexuals and they would put such in jail if they surfaced. Today they have laws protecting homosexuals in USA. And not only are homosexual openly approved today by many people, but they demand that nothing be said against them.
On talk shows people often profess that homosexuals and lesbians are just born that way.
To hold fast to truth during this time, we cling to scriptures:
Bible says God turned homosexual/lesbians over to "vile affections" and that they do things "against nature." Romans 1 Also they will be judged for these acts. At one place in Bible it says the "effeminate" will not inherit the kingdom of God. I Corinthians 6:9
A eunuch (a man who cannot perform sexual act) is an example of one born that way. (Mt. 19:12) But a eunuch is not a homosexual.
A drunkard is said by the world today to have a disease. The Bible calls drunkenness a sin and it says they who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5
It is so important for us to keep the word of God before us on these issues and to cling to God's truth set before us that we not be swept away with the world and the apostate church.
The apostle Paul tells us what to do in the midst of all the evil of the last days.
II Timothy 3:14-17 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
