Talking common sense based on Bible truths

I entered my 80's in 2017.

When I was confronted with finding a new medical doctor when my doctor left, I told the new doctor these truths:

I believe in Jesus and the resurrection of the dead, so I am not afraid to die.  I am 80-years-old.

What I want in a doctor is someone who will help me get from this point to death.

Therefore I do not want a bunch of tests.  If I need pain medicine I want it.  I don't want you to try to keep me alive on this earth.

She seemed to understand but then she went on to ask me about various tests ... if I had such and such a test and would I allow such a test.  I found I was very disturbed later, although at the time she seemed friendly and smiled a lot.

I might try to find another doctor.

This flesh suffers corruption according to Bible.

I Corinthians 15:50-54    Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Those who are dead will be given "new bodies".  They will not be resurrected in their earthly body but will be in another form by the will of God.  The old flesh will not be resurrected with the spirit.

So is the case with those who are alive at the return of Jesus.  These current bodies will not be taken into heaven with the soul.  Those who are still alive will shed these earthly bodies, in the twinkling of an eye, in the blink of an eye.  (We have disposable bodies, so to speak.) I Corinthians 15

Therefore my focus is not on my skin and skeleton and fleshly interior organs which will not go into heaven, thank God!  For the most part, I don't want to try to restore them, except in the case of vision which they can help greatly today so you will not have to go blind.

I would like to find a medical doctor you could talk with when there is a physical problem. 

As it is now, you don't dare tell them you have any pain.  For they would want to do a bunch of tests.  I think there used to be doctors who would listen and say, "Let's try this medicine and see if it helps."

I think I might begin looking for this type of medical doctor.

We know life expectancy is "three-score years and ten" (70-years) according to Bible.   Psalm 90:10

Some will live longer than 70 years.  But how many live to be 90 or 100 ... and what is the quality of their lives at such ages?

My expectation is in the resurrection, whether I live in this flesh or die.

Medical doctors can do certain things to help us.  If we break a bone they can help us.  They can now help us with vision so we don't have to go blind.  But to look for diseases, even to think to try to cure these internal things, often puts an older person through more than is really reasonable.

So far, I haven't found any medical doctor who can really help me but I believe one is out there.

We have to first understand what it is we want from a medical doctor.  We have to understand we can say, "No", when a treatment or test is unreasonable to us.  My previous doctor kept trying to do something to me.  He shocked me by asking me if I would allow him to give me a diphtheria shot.  I said, "No."

Currently all I want from medical doctor is prescription for sleep-aid.  I have one other problem, but I wouldn't tell my current doctor about it and ask for help.  I know she would just want me to take a bunch of horrible tests.  So I am forced, at this moment, to try to treat myself.  And there is daily pain involved.

We set our goals for this life based on our understanding of that which God shows us as truth and we go forward in HIS truth, clinging to that regardless of what man says.

Most humans do not know God nor Bible and they only go by that which seems right in their own eyes.

We are not like that.  So we go forth in another way while we live on this present earth.

The apostle Paul says:

Romans 8:22-23    For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

By the Bible, we know when Jesus returns, some who belong to HIM will still be living, though some will have already died, not all will die.

The apostle Paul explains that to us in the following scripture:

I Corinthians 15:51-52    Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

None of us will have these present human fleshly bodies for these fleshly bodies are subject to corruption of the flesh.  Therefore God gives us new spiritual bodies.  I Corinthians 15

When Jesus returns,  the first thing that will happen is the dead will be raised.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18    But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (dead).

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

The dead in Christ rise from their graves in their new spiritual bodies to gather with Jesus in the air .

After the dead are raised, those who belong to God and are still living on this earth will be changed "in the twinkling of an eye" ... blink ... that is how fast it will happen.

Those who are still living will be changed out of these present earthly bodies and will be given new spiritual bodies as it pleases God.  I Corinthinans 15

When the living are changed into their new bodies, they will rise into the air to meet Jesus and those who have been raised from the dead.

I Thessalonians 4:17    Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.


*  in the air  means we will not be living on this present earth, nor will this present earth continue to exist.

For this present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God.  II Peter 3:10-14

There will be a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. 

God showed the apostle John this new heaven and new earth in the following vision.

Revelation 21:1-5    And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard A GREAT VOICE out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

After the dead have been raised and are with Jesus in the air, and those who are followers of Christ who are still living are changed into new bodies and removed from this present earth rising from this present earth to meet Jesus in the air, the wrath of God is poured out on this earth in judgment from God.

The day of the Lord is a time of the wrath from God on this present earth.

At that time, seven of the angels of God are given trumpets to sound and when they sound their trumpets the plagues come upon the earth and upon the men and women who followed antichrist and took on the mark of the beast, casting aside the word of God. 

Then seven angels of God are given vials of the wrath from God to pour out on this earth to torment those who remain living and have taken on the mark of the beast, which is the seeking of the approval of man on this earth and falling away from the Word of God.

These people will be tormented on this earth before this earth is destroyed.

Revelation 8:2   And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

Revelation 8:6-13    And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;  And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice,

Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Revelation 9:1-12    And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.  And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.  And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

Now we see what the prophet Amos was talking about when he said the following:

Amos 5:18-20    Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Revelation 9:13-21    And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Revelation 11:14-19   The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying,

The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and HE shall reign for ever and ever.

And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Saying, We give Thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because Thou hast taken to Thee Thy great power, and hast reigned.

And the nations were angry, and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Revelation 14:9-11   And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Taking on the image of the beast and the mark of the beast is to depart from scripture and to take on the image of the beast, doing the word of the beast instead of the WORD of God, thus being created in the image of the beast.

Revelation 14:18-20    And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.  And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

The grapes are fully ripe means the iniquities committed by man are full and ready to harvest.

Revelation 15:1    And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Revelation 15:6-7    And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

Revelation 16:1-17    And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because Thou hast judged thus. 

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Thy judgments.

And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.

And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

And HE gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying,

It is done.

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Revelation 19:-9   And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying,

Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

For true and righteous are HIS judgments: for HE hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.

And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great.

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And He saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

And He saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The day of the Lord comes after all this and the current heavens and earth are destroyed by God.


II Peter 3:10-14  

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

After these things Jesus shewed Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed He Himself.

² There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of His disciples.

³ Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
⁴ But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

⁵ Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat?

They answered him, No.

⁶ And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.

They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

⁷ Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.

Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

⁸ And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

⁹ As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

¹⁰ Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

¹¹ Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

¹² Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine.

And none of the disciples durst ask Him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

¹³ Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

¹⁴ This is now the third time that Jesus shewed Himself to His disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

¹⁵ So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me more than these?

He saith unto Him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee.

He saith unto him, Feed My lambs.

¹⁶ He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me?

He saith unto Him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee.

He saith unto him, Feed My sheep.

¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me?

Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, Lovest thou Me? And he said unto Him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee.

Jesus saith unto him, Feed My sheep.

¹⁸ Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

¹⁹ This spake He, signifying by what death he should glorify God.

And when He had spoken this, He saith unto him, Follow Me.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on His breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

²¹ Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou Me.

²³ Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

²⁴ This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

²⁵ And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

After the Spirit comes to them, they remember what we said and understand

An 80+ year old woman in our church group wrote me and told me almost all her relatives are dead now.  She said after she was born again she thought she would lead them all to God but it didn't happen.  She said it was sad to think on this.

I told her we do not know what happens to a person at the moment of that person's death.

God might choose to save the person at that second.  We don't know.  Certainly at that second God could remind that person of the WORD we have spoken and that person might believe.

Salvation is in the hands of God.  

We just speak the word as long as we live on this earth.  If they reject the word at one point, later God might chose to save them by that same word they rejected by bringing to their minds that word we spoke to them.

They often did not understand Jesus when HE spoke the WORD.  But HE spoke anyway.  Later, after Jesus had gone away, God brought that word to their memories and they understood then.

John 2:22    When therefore HE was risen from the dead, HIS disciples remembered that HE had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

One thing the Holy Spirit does is to remind us of that which Jesus has said.  Jn. 14:26

When the Holy Spirit does this, we believe.

So we simply speak the WORD.

Isaiah 55:8-11    God says ... For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The day of the Lord is coming ...

So you desire the day of the Lord ... the second coming of Jesus ...

I do believe those who cling to scripture and belong to God will be taken out before the wrath of God comes.  I Thessalonians 5


But so many churches today have turned from scripture and are substituting other doctrines for the doctrines of Christ.  When they do that, will they escape the wrath of God?  When the day of the Lord comes, if you are among them, will you be able to escape the wrath of God? 

It is now clear to me that the apostasy had to happen in the churches before Jesus could return so the stage is set now for the return of Jesus.

But the prophet Amos gives us a view of what it will be like for those who are not removed from this earth before this day ... it will be one terrible trouble after another ... It is also often described in Bible as a trouble unlike anything seen before.  See Daniel 12 and Matthew 24.

Also Revelation 8 shows us some of the difference in types of troubles in the day of the Lord.

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

But it is coming upon the whole world. 

And maybe in our life time! 

Certainly the apostasy has been going on in church groups and is getting worse.  That had to happen before Jesus returns according to the apostle Paul.

I Thessalonians 2    NASB    Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.


In the KJV, the "apostasy" in the church is called "the falling away."   Churches would fall away from portions of scripture.  That is rampant today in church groups!

The lawless one would come into the temple of God and take his seat in the temple of God, showing himself to be god by eliminating scripture.

As long as the church group held fast to all scripture, antichrist was restrained.

The restraint against antichrist was removed when the church group moved away from specific portions of scripture for this allowed lawlessness to come into the church.

You can't change this once it happens in the church group. 

All you can do is remove yourself from church groups where scripture has been removed.

Peter tells us: 

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 

To sit in a church group where scripture is denied would not show you to be "blameless".

Nor could you, who are of God, sit there where God is denied through the elimination of portions of scripture.

Just do what Paul said to do:

II Timothy 3:5     Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

The church cannot live like the world and escape the wrath of God, for the wrath of God comes to judge those who live in sin.

Through the Bible, we see the way of life for those who choose it.

*  To avoid fornication ... let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.  Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.  Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

*  Sexual sins are different from all other sins ... Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.  I Corinthians 6:15-20

I Corinthians 6:9-10    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And if you are washed from your sins and choose to return to your previous sins, we read the following.

Hebrews 10:26-31    if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But consider this when tempted.

I Corinthians 10:13-14    There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

The day of the Lord is coming ... maybe even in our lifetime!

* Instruction in Righteousness: John 20

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

² Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid Him.

³ Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

⁴ So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

⁵ And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

⁶ Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
⁷ And the napkin, that was about His head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

⁸ Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

¹² And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid Him.

²³ Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord.

But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.

²⁶ And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

²⁷ Then saith HE to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.

²⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

³⁰ And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book:

³¹ But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.

In the days of the apostle Paul, false doctrine was trying to come into the church

Those persons called by Jesus to be an apostle, to care for the church in that ministry office, are especially concerned with doctrine of Christ and with that which is taught in the church.

The following word Paul spoke to Timothy shows Paul's concern in his day over false doctrine in the church.

I Timothy 1:3   (Paul to Timothy)  that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Paul knew antichrist would move into the church when scriptures were changed or omitted.

Paul kept a close watch on doctrine that was taught to the church.

Paul warns the church in the following:

Acts 20:18-30    And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

The apostle John said there were already many antichrists in the church groups in his day.

I John 2:18    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

It would get worse.

II Timothy 3:1-5 ... This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(They have a form of godliness, but they will not accept the power of the scripture to rule over themselves.)

v. 7    Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

v. 13   But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The following is that which we are seeing in today's church groups when they cast aside various instructions from Bible and change doctrine from the doctrine set forth in Bible.

II Thessalonians 2    NASB    Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes (opposes scripture) and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

The restraint which held back the lawlessness was the scripture.  When churches removed doctrine allowing various forms of divorce and remarriage in the church, lawlessness moved into the church and the apostasy began in the church.  The apostasy grows full force in the church as various doctrines of Christ from the scriptures are explained away and removed from the church.  This signals the end and it had to happen before the return of Jesus according to Paul.
