2 Corinthians 10:17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

(Comments from Pam Padgett: Recently something popped up on my computer screen about a wedding which many famous people attended. I was drawn to the lavish scene pictured and read some of the article about the event in which people, and this wedding event itself, were praised.

A little later I was thinking of how appealing to the flesh such things as this are and asked God to please clean me up. I was reminded of "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."

Only God, the creator of all things, is worthy of glory and praise.  All of the success, reputation, or possessions of this world do not compare to God; and for us who are chosen by God, things of this world do not compare to being known by God.  For HE caused us to be born again, new creatures.  HE has provided a way for all of our sins to be paid for by the blood of Jesus.  HE provides everything that we need on this earth.  HE has given us the Holy Spirit living in us to guide and lead us on this earth. HE gives us perfect wisdom when we ask for it.  HE has prepared for us the new heaven and new earth wherein dwells righteousness.

Things of this world are as nothing when we consider God and glory in HIM.)
