And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. 14Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. 15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. Truth

Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
While considering that a man's thoughts perish, I thought of times I have been concerned or affected by what another person thought or might think. Although at the time the opinions of others may seem important and to have some kind of power, there is often no real basis for their thoughts, they are not founded on truth from God. The thoughts sometimes change, and often are not remembered at all.
Real help comes from God. When we act according to what God has said to us, we have something very solid to stand on. His word will never change and His truth will never perish. Jesus told us the following ...
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

How to put on whole armor of God

When I was new Christian (35 years ago), a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary told me, "Joan, you need to put on the whole armor of God." I replied, "Fine. How do I do that?" He hesitated then said, "Well ... you just put on Jesus." I said, "Fine, How do I do that?" He couldn't tell me.
Years later, God showed me what it means to put on the whole armor of God.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph. 6
The pieces of the armor of God are:
- truth
- covering your heart with right things ... not allowing evil into your heart
- peace
- faith
- salvation
- the word of God
- prayer
What is truth? Jesus (the word) is truth. Jesus said ... If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Jn. 8 "Continue" means: to go on to specified course of action ... to do and keep on doing
We meditate day and night on needed scripture to give us power to do the Word of God.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. 24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. 25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Prov. 4 People say the wrong things and those words go down into our hearts and will bear evil fruit at some point unless we take the evil to God and talk with Him about that which was said. And then if we are reminded of something while we talk to God, we need to focus on that. This uproots the evil from our hearts that it will not cause harm later.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 I have a cousin who is very difficult. At the present time I am in a state of peace with her. But I do not call her. She lives in another state so I do not see her. She doesn't write to me so I do not hear from her. I maintain peace this way with her. Everything is in peace at the moment. If you strive with anyone you are not in a state of peace. People who cause you to strive each time you talk with them often need to be avoided. There are some people we just cannot talk with. They are like thorns, always troubling us with their words. We just have to put them away to live in peace. We will never be able to continue in peace by speaking to them.
Faith, salvation, the word of God are stabilized through prayer and though focusing on that which God has said in the Bible.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil. 4

Can Jesus return now?

Yesterday I was talking to God and said, "Why don't you just have Jesus return now, today? And that would take me out of here!"
Immediately I heard from God by His Spirit ...
Here is what I heard:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. II Peter 3
There are still people to be brought in.
But the end will come ... it just didn't come yesterday! But it will come.
I remembered how bad I was before I was born again and thanked God that Jesus didn't return 50 years ago for then I wouldn't be part of the kingdom. "longsuffering"

Answered prayers

One day a while ago, God answered some prayers for me, and I think of these often, marveling at His help in such unimportant matters.
My husband and I were going to go to a festival in a nearby town to hear a certain band play, that we'd heard before and liked. Often when we need (or I want) to be at a place at a certain time, I will get very antsy waiting for my husband when he is not ready to leave at the time I think we need to, to arrive on time. I was afraid this would happen again and prayed he'd be ready, but that if I needed to learn patience and have to wait, that God would help me with that. And that we'd arrive on time and not miss anything.
I didn't have to wait on him, but there were a few things we had to do on the way, which I thought might hinder. Plus we got to a long stretch of road where the speed limit was 35, and though he is not usually meticulous about following speed limits, he set the cruise control for 35 and it felt like we were crawling.
When we were walking to get a seat, I saw that the time was 5 minutes before the scheduled time for the band to start. Timing couldn't have been better! Another concern for me was parking, as sometimes we've had to park quite a distance away because of the large amount of people attending. I was amazed at how very close a parking spot we found, just short distance down the street from where band would play.
Then that evening as I was lying in bed and not asleep yet, I heard a commotion outside that sounded like it could be one of my husband's young chickens squawking. I looked out the window and saw my cat near the chicken, bothering it. By the time I got outside they'd gone behind a large bush behind our garage. I didn't hear noises from the chicken anymore and was afraid the cat had killed it. I tried to get them out by pushing a long stick back there, but to no avail. I was praying for the chicken to be ok, but my main concern was actually for the cat, for I feared that if the cat had hurt or killed the chicken that my husband would be upset and want to get rid of the cat. So I was praying for help with all of this. Finally my husband came out and I called him over to where I was, explaining what happened. He told me I could go back in the house. I went back to bed, still praying, wondering what was going to happen. A few minutes later my husband came into the bedroom, thanking me for saving the life of his chicken. (though I hadn't really done anything.). The chicken was not hurt or dead, therefore my cat was also not in danger of being ousted.
God has answered many prayers since then, but these things keep coming back to mind.

Doing all that we have heard from God

When Saul continued trying to kill him, David and his 600 men went to the land of the Philistines. Achish, king of Gath, gave him Ziklag in which to live. While David and his men were away, the Amalekites invaded, burning Ziklag and taking all the women and children captive. God told David to pursue the Amalekites and that he would recover all that had been taken.
1 Samuel 30:8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 9 So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed. 10 But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.
After defeating the Amalekites and recovering everything that had been taken, they returned to the 200 men who had been faint. The wicked men of those who were able to go to fight didn't want to share the spoil with those who were too faint, but David insisted they share the spoil. He reminded them that God had given them the spoil and preserved them in the battle.

It is important to remember that all we have is from God. As we follow God, He shows us what to do, how to do it, and gives us the ability to do it. He provides everything we need.

If we think we have provided for ourselves, pride rises up. But when we acknowledge that all we have is from God, this occasion for pride is removed. Instead, we are grateful to God. And there is a desire to deal well and fairly in the sight of God toward others, remembering how merciful and compassionate God has been to us.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Ordained to destruction

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Mt. 13
This is the prophecy of Isaiah of which Jesus speaks ...
Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Isaiah 6
They are comfortable in their dullness, not realizing they are "ordained" to destruction as Pharaoh was ordained to destruction.

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. 10And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Nothing hidden

God often shows me what people are currently doing through dreams.
Also the Holy Spirit sometimes will remind me of something or will bring information as needed to my mind.
But it never fails that God reveals what I need to know.

Calling upon God in truth

Keeping the assignment given you by God

keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: I Kings 2:1
Charge means: Keep that which God has entrusted to you.
For me, the assignment from God is defined by the following dream: I was traveling by plane with a small group and we landed on an island. It was hot, dirty, sort of like pineapple field might be. There were children on the island. At some point I realized they were going to leave me there to take care of those children. I said, "I won't stay ... I won't stay ..." Then I said, "Unless you want me to." The group left me there. A pastor and his wife were on the island but they wouldn't come out of their house.
The assignment for me was to care for the church, the children of God. And that is what I have been doing for the past 35 years.
What is the assignment for you?
For men: The assignment from God is to work and provide for your family. God ordained this for men in Genesis 3 ... And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Prepared by God before the issue arises

Yesterday morning, I was drawn to the following scripture ...
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. Titus 3:9
That afternoon, I received email starting out with a question and following with something so complex about scripture that I knew it could not be from the Spirit of God.
I simply deleted the email without responding.
Later I was reminded that I had received instruction that very morning to "avoid foolish questions", which I had done by deleting this email.

What should we be like as we see the day of the Lord approaching?

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. II Peter 3

Enemy of God

Psalm 139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. 20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. 21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Enemies are those in opposition to, or on the opposite side of, someone. As I thought about who are enemies of God, and whether I count them my enemies as well, I thought of how those of the world are enemies of God, and recalled that in the sight of God we are His enemies if we are friends with the world ...
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
friend:
- a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection
- a person who acts as a supporter of a cause by giving help
- a person who is not an enemy or who is on the same side
When we see and hear people of the world, they sometimes seem pleasant and friendly to us and we can be drawn to them. But if we are alert, we realize that evil comes forth as well as the friendliness. Sometimes we witness disregard for what is true, decent, and just. Sometime other "gods" are being worshiped, such as greed for money, chasing after beauty and health, praising worldly wisdom, approving fornication and homosexuality, and striving to succeed and be important in this world.
All of these things rise up against God, and are opposite to His ways. But if we start being a friend to them, being on the "same side" in some way with them and supporting them, we start trying to overlook and approve these things, entering into the evil ourselves. Their friendliness can be a snare to us.
If we belong to God, we can't be on the same side as those who are the enemy of God, going along with them as they go about doing evil. Instead, we need to recognize that they are our enemy, trying to pull us to ways which are opposite to God. We honestly speak truth to them when we have it. And we take whatever action we need to in order to cling to the word of God and be strengthened in it, so that we go in the ways of God.
Instead of being friends with the world, we need to be a friend to God, agreeing with what He has said, and binding ourselves to Him by doing what He has said. I was reminded that Abraham was called a friend of God, as he believed God and went that way, acting upon what God said ...
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Antichrist ... a "spirit" ... opposes all that is called God or worshiped ... Enemy of God ...This is happening now inside church groups which have become like the world ... opposing scripture and falling away from scripture to set up a doctrine contrary to scripture.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Those people who go against scripture will consider they have a special wisdom which others just haven't understood. Notice they are deceived by God because they did not love the truth when truth was presented. And they are deceived by God that they might believe a lie that they might be damned.
They had pleasure in unrighteousness and rejected the truth. Now they walk in a delusion that is from God Himself.
This is like Romans 1 ... where they are turned over to a reprobate mind ... a mind without God's judgment.
These are people who still call themselves Christians but cannot see things of God nor can they see scripture although they may cling to a few isolated scriptures that suit them.
But those who really love God and are known by God will make personal adjustment to fit scripture instead of changing scripture.

Divorce/remarriage: What the Bible says ...

Jesus said ... Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Mt. 19
Notice Jesus is speaking to men.
There are different commandments for men than there are for women. It may not seem "fair" to your flesh but this is the way it is.
If the wife is committing fornication, the man can divorce her and remarry without committing adultery.
But Paul (by the commandment of the LORD) said if the wife leaves her husband, the wife is to remain unmarried or return to her husband.
And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. I Cor. 7

Jesus said ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mt. 5:32
3 forms of adultery in this case:
- man who divorces "faithful" wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.
- "faithful" wife will commit adultery if she remarries
- man who marries divorced woman commits adultery
Paul speaking by the commandment of God to the New Testament church ...
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Romans 7
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. 40But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God. I Cor. 7

At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh ...
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? Men are warned that even if they have sex with a prostitute, they will become one flesh at time of sexual intercourse.
Only death can separate flesh ... And this was a plan of God, that two would become one flesh at time of sexual intercourse.
Concerning the differences between men and women, from the beginning there was a difference. Society can rebel and try to make it seem that the sexes are the same, "equal", with same rules pertaining to both but this is not what Bible shows us.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Gen. 2
Different happening for men and women ...

11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done?
And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Gen. 3
For the divorced woman, if she remarries she commits adultery. If her husband dies, she can remarry, but only "in the Lord" (someone who is born again) ... And Paul warns that it is his opinion that she will be better off if she does not remarry after her husband died. (I Cor. 7)
For the man, if his wife is committing fornication, he can remarry. But this does not apply to the woman who's husband is committing fornication ... If she leaves her husband she is to remain unmarried or be reconciled with her husband. I Cor. 7 ... This is the only way shown us in the New Testament.
Jesus said ... Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Mt. 19
Notice Jesus is speaking to men.
There are different commandments for men than there are for women. It may not seem "fair" to your flesh but this is the way it is.
If the wife is committing fornication, the man can divorce her and remarry without committing adultery.
But Paul (by the commandment of the LORD) said if the wife leaves her husband, the wife is to remain unmarried or return to her husband.
And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. I Cor. 7

Jesus said ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mt. 5:32
3 forms of adultery in this case:
- man who divorces "faithful" wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.
- "faithful" wife will commit adultery if she remarries
- man who marries divorced woman commits adultery
Paul speaking by the commandment of God to the New Testament church ...
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Romans 7
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. 40But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God. I Cor. 7

At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh ...
Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? Men are warned that even if they have sex with a prostitute, they will become one flesh at time of sexual intercourse.
Only death can separate flesh ... And this was a plan of God, that two would become one flesh at time of sexual intercourse.

Can it be of God?

Yesterday I received in the mail something from a "pastor" in another country. He attached his business card at the top of the materials. On his business card he had a color photo of a long haired man which is often used by the world to protray Jesus.
There are no photos of the real Jesus for good reason.
Jesus said ... But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jn. 4
The business card sent by this pastor protrays a lie. I didn't have to read his many pages of materials. I just threw them into the trash.
We who worship God worship in spirit and in truth. God is light and there is no darkness in HIM.
So I know darkness cannot be of God.
And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. 13And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. 14And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it. 15Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: 16Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, Deut. 4
We do not worship God through images ...
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
If you worship God with an image, photo or object of a human figure, you cannot be worshiping God in spirit and in truth. It cannot be of God.
