Book: Exhortations For The Church
Vol. 6, Chapter 25
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
God reveals HIMSELF to us and puts us into the family of God, removing us from the previous life we have lived on this earth, causing us to be "a new creation", created in HIS truth, The Word.
We rejoice greatly, knowing we are not as we once were.
We start down the highway of God, the highway of life.
As we go along the road set before us, we start to pull off a little to the right and we are reminded of a scripture which pulls us back.
Later we drift a little to the left and again we are reminded of a scripture and by that we pull back into the center of road.
One job of the Holy Spirit, that is now inside us, is to remind us of the Word of God. (Jn. 14:26)
We are kept on the highway of God by the Spirit of God reminding us of the scripture which is the way of God.
Jesus says ... Mt. 7 ... Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

In the Old Testament, Exodus 14, we read of the children of Israel going through the Red Sea. The water was walled up on their right ... the water was walled up on their left ... Pharaoh and his chariots of 600 were behind them chasing them. They could not go back. The only way for them to go was ahead. And that was the way of salvation for them and life!

We are "walled" on right and left by scripture! We recall the horrors of our life before Christ and we can't turn back to that. The only way God leaves for us is the straight path going forward in the Word. It is wonderful for it is true life for us as we live on this present earth.
We are not tossed about with false doctrine for we know the truth of the Word of God.
We are not swept away by riches and the deceit of men for we know the Word of God.
The evils are there but we are kept by going in the Word of God, knowing for sure this present earth is only temporary and the way ahead of us is eternal.
Like Moses, we reject the riches of this present world, having a view of that which is ahead which we know to be greater than anything we can experience today.
Heb. 11 ... By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt:for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

And the love we have for God and the Word of God constrains us and we greatly rejoice in HIS way for us on this earth knowing it is indeed life for us now and forever.
