I want to get scripture more deeply inside me and I know we can do that by meditating throughout the day on key scriptures.
You can put key scriptures into an email to yourself so when you open your email throughout that day, those scriptures will be there and this will give you more opportunity to think on those scriptures and do them.

Example: Studying scripture from today's writing:
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says:
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.
Consider: How the instructions apply to me today, at this point in my life.
* Is there anything I am doing that is "hard"? Have I yoked myself to plans or to people that cause my own life to be difficult? Am I trying to impress other people in anything I am doing?
Yoke: means ... to join yourself to plans which you really dislike ... hating job, feeling trapped ... getting involved in something you think you should do but you hate doing...
Jesus says the plans of man are hard ... but HE isn't trying to impress anyone and HE is lowly in heart, not trying to be special. If we turn to HIM, and yoke ourselves to HIM, doing those things that are "easy" HE will remove that hard yoke or show us how to make the hard yoke easy.
Easy: means ...
- achieved without great effort
- uncomplicated
- simple, straightforward
- calm, tranquil, serene, quiet, peaceful, untroubled, contented, relaxed, comfortable, secure, safe
When we see definition of key words in a scripture, often we put a spotlight on our current life. We can see if there is change needed or if we are really at peace in what we are doing. We learn to see the will of God, the way of God and follow God.
If yoke is hard, can turn to God and ask what HE would have you to do in this matter, and HE will lead you, giving you ideas which make things "easy" if you do them that way.
If you are unhappy in your marriage, you can turn to God and HE can show you what you are doing that is making marriage so difficult so you can make changes as shown by God.
If your children are driving you crazy, you have yoked yourself to some idea of what should happen and that idea is probably man's thinking ... What does God say?
When dealing with a scripture, we must eat and drink that word correctly for the word to work in us. We must think on that scripture, applying it to our lives in a proper manner. Not rushing through but really allowing God to work that scripture into our lives. Often we must think on it daily for a season before doing anything and then the scripture becomes a part of us when we do those instructions over and over allowing the scripture to rise up in us.
