Have you ever watched a lot of TV and then realized you feel sort of dead and sluggish?
Death is in the world.
Life is in Jesus, THE WORD of God.

When we feed on THE WORD, it is like we receive a blood transfusion.
Life is in us again.
Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus says: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

Christ is our life.
Focus on HIM, THE WORD.

John 6:57 Jesus says: As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
We eat the Word of God by reading and by doing the Word of God, conforming to Him, THE WORD.
As a little child watches his father and copies his father, we watch THE WORD OF GOD and are recreated in HIS image each time we conform ourselves to HIS word, eating Jesus' flesh and drinking Jesus' blood.
Jesus says: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. John 6:53
