Earlier this month my neighbor Jim was talking about hurricane Irma nearing Florida and mentioned something about "mother nature" doing this.
Without thinking I heard myself very simply say "It is God"
Jim seemed stunned and said "What?"
I told Jim that in the Bible we're told the stormy winds obey God.
I wrote out two passages of scripture that tell of God directing these things and gave this to Jim.
It turns my focus to God to read and think on these things.
Psalm 148:7-13
Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling HIS word:
Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
Let them praise the name of the Lord: for HIS name alone is excellent;
HIS glory is above the earth and heaven.
Psalm 107:21-31
Oh that men would praise the Lord for HIS goodness, and for HIS wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare HIS works with rejoicing.
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the Lord, and HIS wonders in the deep.
For HE commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths:
their soul is melted because of trouble
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and HE bringeth them out of their distresses.
HE maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Then are they glad because they be quiet; so HE bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Oh that men would praise the Lord for HIS goodness, and for HIS wonderful works to the children of men!

There is no such thing as "mother nature". This is something men made up. It is not in Bible.
