Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
II Tim. 2:26 ... But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Thoughts to our minds comes from God, from our own flesh, from devils.
The flesh and devils bring thoughts opposite to the way of God.
If we have the Holy Spirit in us we should have a check in our spirit when a thought is from our flesh or devils.
If we STOP and turn to God in prayer, asking HIM about that idea, HE will show us the truth about that plan.

James 4:7 ... Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
We submit ourselves to God in prayer ... Humble yourself by prayer. The flesh boasts that it doesn't need to pray, that it knows what to do, that it knows "that". So the first step is to humble ourselves in prayer.
After we pray, at some point God will call to our attention something to show us the truth. When we receive the truth from God, we resist the devil with God's truth on the matter.
When we do this, we have the promise the devil will flee from you.
*****
Do not foolishly try to resist the devil by your own will power or thoughts or reasonings.
That will not work.

If you accept the idea presented by the devil and act on that idea, the devil will move in with you and take you captive at his own will.
In such cases, your latter state will be worse than the beginning.

We have a woman in our little church group who often follows ideas presented by devil. The Holy Spirit will show her the way to go. The devil in her will present another way. And many times she chooses to follow that idea which is from the devil.
This can happen, even when you are born again and have the Holy Spirit in you.
The Holy Spirit brings to our mind the way of God but the Holy Spirit does not force us to choose to go in the way of God. It is up to each of us to choose the way of God and to resist the way presented by the devil.
