Isaiah 38-39 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

Isaiah 38

1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death.

And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order:for thou shalt die, and not live.

2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, 3 And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4 Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, 5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears:behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. 6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria:and I will defend this city. 7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken; 8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness: 10 I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave:
I am deprived of the residue of my years.
11 I said, I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord, in the land of the living:
I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent:
I have cut off like a weaver my life:he will cut me off with pining sickness:
from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
13 I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones:
from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter:
I did mourn as a dove:
mine eyes fail with looking upward:
O Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
15 What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it:
I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
16 O Lord, by these things men live,
and in all these things is the life of my spirit:
so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness:
but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption:
for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee:
they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day:
the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
20 The Lord was ready to save me:
therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments
all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.

21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover. 22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?

Isaiah 39

1 At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah:for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.

2 And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures:there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee?

And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.

4 Then said he (Isaiah), What have they seen in thine house?

And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen:there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

5 Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon:nothing shall be left, saith the Lord. 7 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

8 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

God Gives Us Information Through Dreams

Pam Padgett, in our church group, told the following interesting story.

Pam said: while still in high school, my family had gone to see my sister who was away at college. When we got home, my mom's friend, whose husband owned the wrecker service in our town, called and told my mom that there had been a serious car crash. That night I had a dream in which I was shown that Steve, one of my classmates, had been killed in the car crash and that another guy was also in the car.

The next morning before I got up, my mom's friend called and told her who had been killed. My mom knew that Steve was in my class and came to tell me. But before she could tell me, I told her that I knew that Steve had been killed in the crash. She thought I had overheard her talking on the telephone with her friend, but I told her I hadn't. God had given me this information in a dream.

Although I knew it was God giving me information, it was very scary to me that God would communicate with me like this. Having been raised in the Catholic church, which always seemed so "spooky" to me, I was afraid of God and didn't understand His love for us and that He has given us His Spirit to help us and comfort us.

After this experience, for years before going to sleep at night, I would pray and ask God to please not give me any dreams. The idea of God communicating with me was terrifying to me.

Even though I was trying not to have God communicate with me, HE showed great mercy toward me and gently and gradually taught me truth about Himself.

It was a great help when I went to college and met a friend who read the Bible and she gave me a Bible. She shared many things with me that helped me, although I don't remember her saying anything specifically about the Holy Spirit.

I can remember trying to explain that it was like there was something "in" me that had something to do with God, not knowing that the Holy Spirit was in me.

It was so helpful when I finally saw what Paul said ...

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19)

When thinking back over these things, I am so thankful for God's great mercy toward me. I was reminded of the following ... Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. (Psalm 103:13)

Here is another example given by Pam ... in John 16:13 we're told that the Holy Spirit will show us things to come. Pam explains, Several years ago I had a dream in which one of my grandmothers died, but no one told me this had happened.

Some months later, this is exactly what happened. I started to become upset that no one told me she had died, but then remembered this dream. Knowing that God had cared so much about me to show me this beforehand was very comforting to me, and I wasn't upset anymore that no person had told me.

Here is a dream where God showed me what would happen to me in future:

I had an accident, falling over a box, in 2012 … I broke hip and during operation, the bone shattered from hip down to my knee. The surgeon said the hip would have been no problem but when the bone shattered, it changed everything. Doctor said I would need to be in the rehabilitation hospital for at least one month. I was helpless, not able to get out of bed, not able to get to bathroom, not even able to sit in recliner in my hospital room. I didn’t think I would ever walk again.

God gave a dream to Joseph Meriweather, a member of our little church group. Joseph reported by email (he lives in another state) … “Joan … I dreamed that you recovered OKAY and you were walking without a walker in the dream. Also in the dream, I heard Barbara (another member of our church group) say to look at you, at the progress you were making.

By this dream reported by Joseph, I knew I would walk again.

This is exactly what happened. I improved day by day and after about 5 years I was able to walk again, even without using a cane. (I am 78-years-old at the time I am writing this.)

God gave me a dream concerning a woman who had rejected the Word of God which I had delivered to her and we ended up departing from one another.

This woman was like a daughter to me. She was Catholic. The first message I delivered to her was taken from the Holy Bible. (I even went to a bookstore and looked into a Catholic Bible and copied this scripture out of the Catholic Bible.)

Mt. 23 … Jesus said … 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

(I was amazed to find this in a Catholic Bible but it was in there.)

This woman was in Phoenix at the time I sent this message to her by email.

For several weeks, I didn’t hear from her at all.

Then she sent me an email “thanking me for the message.” But I knew she didn’t receive the message because she continued to attend Catholic church and call men “FATHER”.

A few years passed, she continued to call me and “visit” and from time to time we would go to lunch. I began to speak openly to her of things of God. She loved to praise men and when she would tell things I had said, she always managed to omit reference to God doing the work. She loved to praise me and say I did such and such, even though I had told her God told me to do that thing she so admired.

Finally, it came to an end with messages becoming much stronger and many warnings being delivered by me concerning the evils in the Catholic church.

At that point God gave me the following dream … This woman was on an overpass, the sort of walkway that allows the pedestrians to walk over railroad tracks.

I was below watching her. She was about ½ across the overpass and was trying to ignore me.

As she started down the other side, she fell and was lying on the ground.

In the background a church building was on fire. Fire was coming out the roof and windows on both sides. Firemen were rushing to the fire to try to save the church building but I knew it could not be saved and it would be destroyed by the fire.

The following prayer and dream, which was an answer to prayer, was reported by Barbara Preston, a member of our little church group.

Barbara says: At the end of 2007, my husband retired from his job. We had been living in the state of Texas for many years which was where his job was. God had previously told me in multiple ways, including dreams, that we would be moving to Virginia after his retirement. But I didn't know exactly where we would be moving within the state.

My 2 grown children and granddaughter already lived in Virginia in a coastal city. My husband and I wanted to live either in or close to the mountains and in a rural area.

There were a number of areas in the state that I looked at in the months before we moved...looking at properties on the internet.

There were some very appealing options but the closer it came to time to actually buy a house and move I became frightened about which part of the state we should move to.

At this time, I was looking at properties in and around the city of Charlottesville in central Virginia. Both my husband and I liked the area a lot, but being very concerned about this, I turned to God and asked Him to please tell me where we should move...was this the right area?...I told God that I was afraid we might buy a house in the wrong part of the state and I didn't want to do this.

Sometime after praying I had the following dream...I saw 3 men who I knew were angels standing in what I knew represented the state of Va. in the background (even though the background was solid white). One of these men was standing in the center of the state (I knew this was the city of Charlottesville). He was holding a very long tape measure. There were 2 other men standing some distance from him and the 3 of them were measuring distances not too far from the city of Charlottesville.

I knew from this dream that God was telling me that we would be moving not far from the city of Charlottesville which is exactly where we found the house we wanted ... about 15 miles from the city of Charlottesville, itself ... in the country ... and about a 3 hour drive from where my children live.

There were a few times after we moved that the thought would come that we had moved to the wrong part of the state but when that thought would come, I would remember this dream and I knew we were exactly where we were supposed to be...exactly where God wanted us to be.

Writing this reminded me of the following scripture...

Acts 17 26 From one man He (God) made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. (NIV)

Mark 4 ... Reading through the Bible

1 And he began again to teach by the sea side:and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,

3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time:afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. 23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear:with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you:and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given:and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. 34 But without a parable spake he not unto them:and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow:and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Some things are never of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Fornication is never of God.  Adultery is never of God.  Hurting another member of the body of Christ needlessly is never of God.  Exalting yourself above others is never of God.

These things are authored by devils.  You can know to resist such when thoughts come to you urging you to do these things.

Deception and devils are rampant today in sending wrong thoughts to our minds.

A few days ago, I was reading our Kindle book and found a mistake.  Pam had accidentally written to look on right side of example when it should have been to look on left side.  She corrected the error in the paperback version which has not been submitted for publication.

Later there was sort of a "gleeful" thought that came to me about her mistake.  I knew immediately that was devil.  I turned to God quickly, talking to HIM about all the good Pam has done in this work she is now doing in getting these books ready for publication.

When we have a bad thought which diminishes another as this thought did, we have to know it is not from the Spirit of God.  If we would stop and pray, talking to God about all the good that person has done toward the church, we would reap great reward and peace.

But to store that evil in our hearts and gloat over the evil and become puffed up, is to play right into the hand of the devil.  And in time, we will reap evil fruit for evil will come out of us at some point concerning that person.

Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good.  Romans 12:21

We can turn this evil around if we will take the person to God in prayer and cite the good done by the person.  We can break the power of the devil this way.  (I am speaking of when the person is going good and a devil attacks not when the person needs to correct himself and the devil brings thought he needs to correct himself.)

Devils often bring evil thoughts about me to other people.  That is very obvious.  Purpose:  To cause you to withdraw from me to get you away from the Word of God spoken through me.

Paul once said we are not unwise about these plans of devils.  Neither should we be.

If the minister is corrupt that minister is serving devil and not God.

But when a minister is serving God and devil sends you an evil thought about that minister, you can break up all this by turning to God and calling out the good you have seen that minister do.

If that minister sins, why don't you go to that minister and tell minister of the sin.  If minister repents in shame of what he has done, you can continue with that minister.  But if minister has no shame, know that minister is already cut off and you can do nothing to help him and you must leave to keep yourself from being destroyed.

Isaiah 36-37 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

Isaiah 36

1 Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them.

2 And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field. 3 Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph's son, the recorder.

4 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

5 I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war:now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it:so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

7 But if thou say to me, We trust in the Lord our God:is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

8 Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

9 How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? 10 And am I now come up without the Lord against this land to destroy it? the Lord said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
11 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it:and speak not to us in the Jews 'language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

12 But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. 14 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you:for he shall not be able to deliver you. 15 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us:this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

16 Hearken not to Hezekiah:for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me:and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; 17 Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The Lord will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 19 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? 20 Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

21 But they held their peace, and answered him not a word:for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

22 Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Isaiah 37

1 And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.

2 And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy:for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. 4 It may be the Lord thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the Lord thy God hath heard:wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left. 5 So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

8 So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah:for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish. 9 And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, 10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. 11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered? 12 Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar? 13 Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?

14 And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it:and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.

15 And Hezekiah prayed unto the Lord, saying, 16 O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth:thou hast made heaven and earth.

17 Incline thine ear, O Lord, and hear; open thine eyes, O Lord, and see:and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.

18 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, 19 And have cast their gods into the fire:for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone:therefore they have destroyed them.

20 Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord, even thou only.

21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:22 This is the word which the Lord hath spoken concerning him;

The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn;
the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
23 Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed?
and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice,
and lifted up thine eyes on high?
even against the Holy One of Israel.

24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said,
By the multitude of my chariots am I come up
to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon;
and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof:
and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

25 I have digged, and drunk water;
and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.

26 Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it;
and of ancient times, that I have formed it?
now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste
defenced cities into ruinous heaps.

27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power,
they were dismayed and confounded:
they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb,
as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

28 But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in,
and thy rage against me.

29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears,
therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips,
and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

30 And this shall be a sign unto thee,
Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself;
and the second year that which springeth of the same:
and in the third year sow ye, and reap,
and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah
shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant,
and they that escape out of mount Zion:
the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall do this.

33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria,
He shall not come into this city,
nor shoot an arrow there,
nor come before it with shields,
nor cast a bank against it.

34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return,
and shall not come into this city
, saith the Lord.
35 For I will defend this city to save it
for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

36 Then the angel of the Lord went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand  (185,000) :and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

(One angel of the Lord did this!  One angel of the Lord smote 185,000 of the Assyrians)

37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. 38 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia:and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Dreams: Chapter 6 / Book available now on Amazon/Kindle

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

God Instructs Us Through Dreams

After my mother died, a cousin tried to get me to move to the city where she and her husband and 2 adult sons lived. She said the sons would be such help to us as we got older.

But God gave me a dream showing me that I could not go through my cousin's house. I had to find another way to go. So I did not move to the city with my cousin but went in opposite direction, 350 miles away.

Juliett Walton, a member of the body of Christ in our little church group, reported the following dream.

In this dream, each person in the church group, seemed to be given an assignment......handed an envelope.

A man was first to receive his assignment. The rest of us watched to learn from him.

Others received their assignments.

The work was not difficult but once the assignments were started, they had to be continued to the end.

A woman stopped her assignment before completion. The reason was not shown.

I received my assignment and started to work on it.

It was not a struggle to do the work but was a struggle to complete the work.... to keep going.

I saw most of the people grow weary but most kept going. I was determined to keep going also.

This scripture was in my notes

Galations 6:9

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Case Studies:

One 77-year-old man in our church group has had a very serious heart operation.  One hand ended up partially paralyzed and he reported he was having difficulty now lifting his paper Bible.  He wanted to learn to use a Kindle.  He began using the guide we wrote which is "Graphically Illustrated" step by step with both pictures and words showing how to do everything.

His wife reported the following:  "John is very impressed.  He can understand everything as we go along and the pictures of each step are a life saver.  What a wonderful concept!"

An 80-year-old woman in our church group lost her 94-year-old husband a few weeks before she decided to learn to use the Kindle using our "Graphically Illustrated" guide.  She has many physical problems and walks with walker.  She, too, had very strong success in learning to use the Kindle.  Now she uses her Kindle all the time for emails, music, books, games ...

Can you imagine how much this means to her at this point in life?

All you have to do is learn to use the Kindle.  And with this book, we believe you can do it!

Mark 3 ... Reading through the Bible

1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. 2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out:and his hand was restored whole as the other.

6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea:and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea, 8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him. 9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. 10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues. 11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. 12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would:and they came unto him. 14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:16 And Simon he surnamed Peter; 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, 19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him:and they went into an house.

20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him:for they said, He is beside himself.
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. 28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. 32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. 33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? 34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Choosing to walk in darkness over walking in light

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Walking in light / Walking in darkness

This then is the message which we have heard of HIM, and declare unto you,

that God is light, and in HIM is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with HIM, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.   I Jn. 1

Two women who chose to walk in darkness … Both of these women have been in our little church group for 30+ years and have read messages I have written for these years.

Both women chose to walk in darkness.

Both women were raised in church groups from childhood.  One woman is born again, having the Spirit of God in her.  The other woman is religious but no evidence of the Spirit of God in her.  Both women committed terrible sins as young adults … fornication, adultery, abortion …

Example 1:  The woman who is religious but no Spirit of God, not born again … As a 60 year old woman, she went for medical exam.  In pre-exam, she was asked, “Have you ever been pregnant?”  She lied and said, “No.” (having had abortion)

Lies are walking in darkness.

The next year when she went for exam, she dreaded going because she didn’t want to see the person to whom she had lied the previous year.

This shows desire to continue walking in darkness.

This woman rejoiced that this woman was not there that day.

She might have even thought it was God having that woman not there.

But really, this simply allowed her to continue to walk in darkness easily.

She walks in darkness … there can be no cleansing of the blood of Jesus when a person chooses to walk in darkness.  If you walk “in the light” the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness.

I Jn. 1:7 … 7 But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.

John 8 … 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to HIM, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me (the Word): for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but HE sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear MY word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own :for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Before I was born again I lied any time I thought it to my benefit.

After I was born again and the Spirit of Truth dwelt in me, the Holy Spirit, I had to choose truth.

Neither could I continue to live in hypocrisy, making myself appear good to others.

If you choose lies thinking you somehow benefit yourself, you choose to live in darkness, not in light, and your sins remain with you for the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin “if you walk in the light.”  I Jn. 1

In 30+ years, I have never really seen the Holy Spirit in this woman, though she reads everything I write and really tries to do the teachings … but without the Spirit of God all you have is your own mind and you cannot do things of God with your own mind and in your own thinking.

Mt. 7 … Jesus says … 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Countless numbers of people think themselves to be Christian because they have gone forward and been baptized in water.

But to really be Christian, to be born again, you must be born of the Spirit of God.

God has to reveal HIMSELF to you.  Then you are really changed.  And HIS Spirit dwells in you.  Then you are light and not darkness.

You can attend church and try to do “good” things, but be turned away by Jesus in day of judgment as Jesus said in Mt. 7.

Paul explained … II Cor. 13 … 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

If you walk in darkness … lying to people, hoping not to be discovered in your lying … committing fornication, adultery … living in strife and hatred … trying to outdo other people, you walk in darkness and not light.  Your sins remain when you walk in darkness.

Example #2 … Woman who chose to walk in darkness.

This could even be more serious than the first woman.

This woman does have the Holy Spirit in her, yet she has often chosen to follow the voice of devil who brings “way” for her to go and has rejected the way of truth,  going in the way of devil, believing devil.

I have witness many times of the Holy Spirit in this woman.

So far, God has been very merciful to not remove HIS Spirit from her even when she has rejected Holy Spirit who spoke way of God to her, and has struck out at me.  This has happened more than once.

It seems to me to be a very fearful way to go … How often do you want to tempt God? Going opposite from scriptures and opposing the way shown you by Holy Spirit?

In the current example:  She had repeatedly said something to me over the past 8 years or so.  I could not see the point in what she kept saying.  It had to do with her saying, “She didn’t think something would work …” but the matter which “didn’t work” happened in 2004 … so what is the point in repeating that … except to maybe make herself seem insightful … a type of boasting  … and if we believe wisdom is from God and she thought the concept to be from God, she should have warned me at the time it happened about 10 years ago.

This time, I shinned a very strong light on what she said and asked her to call me.

She sent email saying, “Perhaps she shouldn’t talk right now.”

By resisting confronting the matter, she stayed in darkness and yielded to devils.

I would have no part of this.  So sent email and I told her this would allow devils to work and if she couldn’t talk about it then consider she was cutting herself off from me.

I prayed this would be settled before dark … as per … Eph. 4 … 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil.

I prayed that she would call me and settle this before dark.

Just before it was dark, she called … It took less than 5 minutes to work through the issue… not a big deal … but by following devils and hiding she was making it into a mountain.

It reminds me of a scripture about the devil and how could someone so insignificant cause so much trouble.

Isaiah 14:12  …How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

How can some matter so small cause you to risk so much when it is very easy to resolve?  How can this small a matter cause you to go into darkness and hide from the light?

One thing God kept telling Joshua to “have courage” …

We certainly better develop courage as the evil of this world darkens even more.

Lk. 23 … Jesus says … 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

The day after this happened with this woman, I talked with her because I was still unsettled.  I had no joy that day and had prayed to God asking HIM to restore my joy.

As I spoke with this woman she said she had been afraid to read a section of writing and had turned to God telling HIM she was afraid.  She heard, ”Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”  She said, OKAY, and began reading.

My joy was restored because this showed me that God had not removed HIS Spirit from this woman and she still had the Holy Spirit in her.  I rejoiced over this because all we need is to have the Holy Spirit in us.  If we have that, we have God.

II Cor. 13 … 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
