Several weeks ago I bought a used car. I had been specifically looking for one that had a key fob, keyless entry. I used that frequently with our other car in order to leave our dog in the car with it running and be able to lock it, with either the heat or air conditioning on, depending on the weather.
I assumed all the key fobs worked the same and that I’d be able to do that with the new car. I came to discover that I couldn’t lock the doors while the car was running. I was very concerned. This was a pretty big part of what I needed. Did I buy the wrong car, should I try to sell it or trade it in for another?
I kept praying about it for several days. Then a thought came to me. I remembered that the fob had a physical key inside it that you could take out. Perhaps I could lock the doors and leave the car running this way.
I was so happy and grateful that I tried this and it did work.
