πŸ’₯ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Last summer my husband and I ordered some drapes for our living room and bedroom windows. I thought they would have been installed by now and was planning on calling the place we ordered them from this morning, and see what I could find out, which I did.

I knew I was becoming irritated in the way I felt about this, even imagining what I would say when I called, aware of the impatience I felt as I thought about this.

I had decided to call this morning which I did. But several days before I called, I heard the following ... Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I knew the scripture this was referring to so I turned to it...

Matthew 7:12 (Jesus said) ... all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

I was reminded of my curtain situation and I believed immediately that God was calling my attention to the annoyance I felt over this and how I intended to let them know that I was irritated when I called.

I thought about this a number of times in the days before I called this morning. I also prayed just before I called, asking God to please not let me say anything that I should not say.

I got the information I needed about the drapes, but the most important information I received was what God gave me before I called, instructing me to treat them as I would want to be treated. Hearing this completely changed my attitude and I am very thankful for HIS help.

When we allow our flesh to lead us, we act one way. But how blessed we are when the Spirit of God intervenes and leads us in another way, the way HE wants us to go. Not only are we blessed but so are the people we deal with, even if they never realize it.
