This morning I walked outside with my dog and, as soon as I did, I was impressed at what a beautiful morning it was, cool with a little breeze, sunny, and the sounds of birds singing, filling the air.
As I stood there and thought about this, I was immediately reminded of how it is God Who is in charge of everything, all the people and all the things that happen on this earth.
At times, when I see the evil done by some people, it can seem like they are the ones in charge. But as I thought about this earlier today, I was reminded of this scripture ...
Psalm 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of HIS holiness.
If I did not believe this, I think I would be extremely discouraged and worried by the things I see people do today.
But we do not have to live as the world does.
Because we belong to God we can have joy and peace in our hearts, knowing that our faith is not in other human beings, but lies in and with the Creator of all things, knowing that HE does not break HIS promises to us and will never abandon us and has all power over all that HE has created.
